Clicking thread title no longer goes to first unread post

When I click a thread title on desktop or tap it on mobile, I'm no longer taken to the first unread post of the thread, but simply the first post.

This applies when viewing the list of threads in a forum (rather than using the "quick link" on the home page that shows all the latest updated threads).

However, it seems to be a little sporadic - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't (maybe dependent on whether there's one new post or several).

Is it just me, or...?

It's always been on the unreliable end for me. I'm browsing the site on up to four different browsers/devices and instead of having a hive-mind they apparently all hate each other.

This only happen to me when I haven't read anything from the thread, but if i have read all then if i open it again i go to the last message

In 9 from 10 times it work like it should, but some times not on my side. But not since today, more then some months. Can't remmeber when it begun.
