Another game from Frontier is announced, this time it’s a F1 Manager game.

Make your mark on Formula 1® in the officially licensed F1® Manager 2022. Choose your team and be the boss with the full 2022 roster of staff and drivers. Featuring full F1® licensing and true-to-life presentation, you won’t just play F1® Manager 2022 – you’ll live it.

Career – Become the Best

Write a new chapter in a bold new era for Formula 1®. Choose your F1® team and guide them to glory throughout the official 2022 races by beginning your journey at the back of the grid or taking your place in pole position – in F1® Manager, the choice is yours. Your task is to impress the board by hitting your season targets and long-term goals, securing your team’s success for years to come.

The HQ – Build Your Team

Your constructor team are the beating heart of racing operations. Between races, control every detail of your team from HQ. Monitor the performance of your star drivers and staff, keep your finances in the black, and scout best-in-class staff from rival teams to give yourself an extra edge for upcoming races.

The Factory – Perfect Your Car

Get your hands on 2022’s striking new car designs and race closer to your opponents than ever before. Assign new parts for your cars to prepare for the race ahead. Choose your engineering approach to gain advantages on upcoming circuits – will you develop a well-balanced system, focus on areas needing improvement, or excel in specific aspects of performance?

The Race – Create and Execute Your Strategy

From lights-out to the chequered flag, you’re in control. Own every decision from pit strategy to tyre choices to driver callouts. Plan your approach but be prepared to react to dynamic race events such as weather and fluctuating track conditions. Immerse yourself in a hyper-realistic simulation of an official F1® race presented in true-to-life broadcast quality.

Seeing that they made numerous management games like Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and Planet Coaster & Zoo, I think this will have the similar quality. Too early to tell judging from cinematic trailer, but we’ll see as they release more infos and screenshots.

This is a huge surprise. If it has in depth sim management elements, multiple seasons, custom creation of teams etc at least half of the gamers of the other F1 official game will move into this one. Tbh I won't even go back playing the other F1 game if this one delivers.

I think it’s gonna work similarly as older F1 Manager games by EA where they have all those things except custom team.
Motorsport Manager enables you to create a custom team, but it’s an unlicensed game so you gotta need a F1 mod from Steam Workshop for authentic experience.

You can create your own team in the other F1 game if I remember well. I don't think it will be a problem having this feature in this one also.

You can in Motorsport Manager, but afaik you can only play as existing teams in EA F1 Manager and Grand Prix Manager and World games.

Reviews are slowly coming out. As expected the game is good. But there are some flaws as expected again. The major one is that there's no variety and cars and teams perform strictly according to their power/rates. It's realistic to an extent but I would personally like a risk factor implemented. Still early ofc as most reviewers played the game 5-8h to gain more subscribers/clicks. Still I haven't seen a review mentioning in detail what happens after a full season and this is the key for a game like this.
I'll update this post when more information comes in as we approach the release date which is tomorrow.
