how long till they start using the amount of games as an excuse when they bottle the league as well ?

i felt sorry for a gooner down the pub after the game so i bought him a treble whiskey, unfortunately it was a bit strong for him and he choked !!

before i get the inevitable, mid table blah blah yes i know :oops:

im sure even the arsenal lads on here admit they deserve a fair bit of stick after all that best english team ever bollards :mrgreen:.
 
When it comes down to it Manure fans are as arrogant as Arsenal fans. When your teams are doing so well you can afford to be arrogant coz we have no fight back but when you fuk up the defence sheilds come on and its all what you saying Mid table boy. its bollox just take it and admit that your team even though it only may be for a day or two look like complete tw*ts.

Go on admit it!

How many more times.....the press have built us up to knock us down and all you lot (plus some of us) fell for it.

I know some people have been arrogant but so far this season I have said to no-one we're unbeatable no one can beat us and then phone people to gloat when we win (only my best mate who's a spurs fan when we beat Spurs earlier on in the year). The reaction I get when we lose is everyone taking the piss out of my team. TBH my team has played great football and we're still in with a bloody great shout of being league champs.

There was one Arsenal fan who was a bit annoyed I think yesterday as he left the ground. He kept shouting FUCK FUCK FUCK and screaming aargh and kicking things. I really laughed at him!

There is never a right to be arrogant all the fukin time. thats the reason everyone hates you mate!
 
If the game did go into silver goals and penalties, and Chelsea still won, what would you prefer, Chelsea winning on Penalties or Chelsea winning the way they did?

It brings back memories of Arsenal full backs scoring late goals against cheslea, sylvinho? winterburn? fags. ;)

Im not saying its right but the abuse we've gotten over the years gives us that "could give a feck what anyone thinks of us" attitude so im not arsed (no pun) whether people love us or hate us mate.

lol nicky and butat you guys dont seem to bad but your coming up with some proper wenger esque excuses if you dont think a lot of arsenal fans have been giving it large. its all part and parcel of the game, if arsenal fans give it out then you have to accept your gonna get stick even if u havnt personally done anything.

no ones denying arsenal are a great side but the fans have been as much a result of the over hype as anyone or anything else. as for the press/media comment* :roll: are you wenger in disguise .... !!!!

*you know andy townsend would litterally love to suck off henry if he was given the chance.

Having gone out of two major competitions in four days, Arsène Wenger is steeling himself for the challenge in Arsenal's last remaining avenue for silverware - the Premiership.

There will be little time to lick the wounds from Tuesday night's Champions League exit. Arsenal entertain Liverpool on Good Friday and then take the long trip North to Newcastle two days later.

They still have an advantage of four points and one game on second-place Chelsea. But, as this week has shown, matters can change quickly in football. The manager knows he must find a fast-working tonic for his side. "It is far from done in the Premiership," he said. "We have a big weekend in front of us now and dealing well with Liverpool on Friday will be vital.

"Of course it will be difficult to lift the players but they are mentally strong. It will be big test of our character and mental strength.

"The important thing is to show we are not just about winning when things go well but showing we have the quality and togetherness when things don't go well."

And don't tell the Arsenal manager his side can "only" win the Premiership now. That, he argues, would still be a huge achievement in the season.

"If you'd say we'd just win the Premiership [every season], I would sign for that for the next 20 years.

"To win the Premiership is something fantastic but, with eight games to go it is far from being done.

"And the most difficult part is still in front of us."

How can we put the European Cup in the bin if we have never won it?? You are always quick to to remind us of that.

The mess of things that Lehmann has made this season has been appalling, it's gonna be a tough easter weekend for the gooners...

Actually this has made me smile :D :D :D in a warped sort of way. Well if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at??
 
Arsenal were unlucky, your goalie cost you (a goal in each leg, and on top of that he could have done more with bridges goal). Mind you Chelsea would be dead certs for the treble if they hadnt had the Sullivan nightmare! All three teams have been let down by poor goalies (although with Man Utd its probably more of a central defence problem). Can see Robinson going for mega bucks in the summer.
 
Van your constant blabber about the Treble winning Man Utd side is getting a little boring now, that was in 1999 and now its 2004, no one said we was gonna be better or equal that team so why do you keep bringing it up??


No arrogance has come from Higbury only people who themselves are arrogrant twats would say such a thing, but to stay in contention for the treble for so long was a acheivment in itself and HENCE thats why media/pundits were ALL speaking of a possbile treble! if Man Utd or Chelsea were in the same position the same would be said of them, but it was Arsenal that was thier, so shoot of all you like but we was touted for the treble thru no arrogance or fault just the sheer fact we was still in all 3 major competitions.


And like I keep saying I dont see many sides which will be ever able to dominate football in England like Liverpool achieved and Manchester did the last few years, the power balance has shifted and three clubs are up thier all with a chance of winning the title for the next few years, the gap at the top of the premier between the 3 clubs and the rest proves it.

Maybe the treble is dead for you guys, but it is sitll alive for us. That is if the Asia Cup Counts ;)

For such a great institution it says a lot that you have never reached the semi final of the only important european competition, you've never even played in the santiago bernebau ffs!!
be interseting in the league now, esp if chelsea are still in with a shout of the title when they play us. I would'nt bet against fergie resting a few key players for that one.

Yeah cause i'm sure he would rather give Chelsea a chance of winning the league and come thrid than going for secong place himself.

As for playing at the Bernebau, Partizan Belgrade have played there, does that make them better than us!!!!
