I can tell ya that he look's fuckin' quality! His awareness of the game is superb, and his passes for two of Reyes' goals against Barnet were top notch. Did you see his goal!? Outstanding!!
No - they havent shown highlights of preseason games over here sadly. What position and side will he play. Can you give me a projected lineup for this season? PEACE
If you know a place where I can host a 9MB video, tell me, and I'll put it for everyone to see. It's worth watching. Lots of fabulous goals including a traditional Bergkamp free-kick which I hadn't seen for some time, Reyes Cruyff turn, vn Persie's bullet. Speaking of Bergkamp, van Persie's touch of the football is so much like his, it's astounding. He's going to be very big, and the fact that his transfer was so low-profile will really surprise the media when he finally shows his full potential. The great man hismelf, Van Basten, already regards him as oen of the best of the new generation of youth coming through (the other is Sneijder, no complaints there). It's shame he wasn't at Euro 2004, due to lack of playtime more than anything else. He had indifferences with the Feyenoord boss and was left out of most games. As for starting line-up, I don't think he'll be in it just yet. He says he doesn't like to play on the wing but his performance there against Barnet, granted they're not superb, was excellent and that's where he'll end up eventually, I think. Wenger's player power could make him play there and I think he could be Pires' eventual successor. Here's my projected line-up for next season.
------------------Lehmann------------------
-----------Toure--------Campbell----------
--Trabelsi---------------------------Cole---
----------------------------------------------
--------------Vieira-----Edu/Gil-------------
---Freddie--------------------------Pires----
-----------------------------------------------
-------------Reyes---------Henry-----------
Obviously if Vieira goes that'll be a bit different. They're boundless possibilities for 'replacements'. Wenger might move Toure up front and buy a world-class defender with the money; but two good midfielders (Hargreaves and Gerrard are the two big names being touted); uncover another hidden gem etc. etc. Nobody can truly replace Veieira however so I hope he stays and in my heart of hearts I think he will. Oops, this has drifted onto Vieira talk again. Any more questions you have, go ahead.
