i live in old trafford near man u ground. but still i support arsenal, and i am very sad to see henry leaving. all my mates sed support man u , but i feel really down. ofcourse i am still an arsenal fan as i support the club, players come and go, but henry is the last thing i wanted to see, i really hope we can sneak Etoo or according to tribalfootball.com go for inters sneaky bid for 10 mil + Adriano.

To be honest, I'm kinda feeling for you guys. Not because he left but because you deserved more money for him. You'll need more than £16million to rebuild the hole he's gonna leave. You cant just buy another striker cuz Henry was a character. It feels like your team has lost some of its personality now.
 
I think Adebayor, Van Persie, and Walcott should be enough attacking power. And maybe you will buy Anelka or another striker, so who knows?
 
You can replace him. You replaced Ian Wright. You replaced Liam Brady. You replaced Steve Bould.
I can see someone like Huntelaar coming.

Sheva had recently renewed his contract so had no clauses.
 
He will be a big loss for the Premiership let alone Arsenal.I'd be gutted down if I was a Goon cause he didnt exactly left on a high but on a personal low.

Funny thing is,Arsenal have always replaced great forwards with a better one.Lets see now.
 
no excuses for wenger not to spend big and bring in big names

annoying thing is, perhaps if he did that before thierry may have stayed

but im struggling to think who - robinio? villa- too expensive otherwise chelsea would have him

but need a proven goal scorer - henry used to envoke fear - people loved playing against us when he wasnt playing, replacement needs to do the same
 
Henry has spoken alot of bollucks recently - blaming everybody else for him leaving. Getting rid of DAvid Dein - Not enough players being bought etc etc

He was going on about how good our team can become and on the basis of last season he wants to walk out? its a joke!!

After pledging himself to Arsenal - then doing this after being out for most of last season - I think its pretty shitty. The fact he had a clause in his contract (If that is true)just shows what his intentions were from the off.

He will always be a legend - but it is starting to leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

Arsenal need to show some determination now and put some money in for some experience. No Matter how good our youngsters are the only experience we have is Gallas who is a whinging git, Ljunburg who is way past it and Gilberto.

We always replace great strikers but I don't think we can replace Wenger. I can't think of any manager in the world and Arsenal except him. But I do feel he will be gone next season even if we win stuff or not - then I will be really sad.
 
Gutted, but at least we've got used to playing without him over the last 2 seasons, and we've picked up some good results.

I think we just need to add a goal poacher e.g Villa or Huntelaar, someone who consistently tops goalscoring charts. Not someone like Torres.

Maybe Arsenal will turn their attention to Liverpool targets.

Man United are still looking for a striker too. The following weeks should get rather interesting.
 
The closet thing to Henry is Eto and he aint coming no way! or a Van Nistelroy so whos left??? I cant see anyone, thier will be nonone who can terrorize defences like Henry NOBODY!!!

Theo has no chance of filling his boots, Walcott is a long way from being good.

I want more info I wanna know wtf we are doing to this club!

I feel 100% the same. One man doesn't make a team but it makes you wonder how Arsenal will do next season without him. If there is going to be a change in the top four any time soon, you have to wonder if Arsenal are going to have the determination to stay there without such a powerful character.
 
real senior player left is Gilberto, Ljundberg is not a leader, but then that leaves Kolo TOure who reminds me of a kinda Adams Captain leading ffrom the back, the future? well Cesc would be the leader but that will take 3-4 years at least and is he gonna stick around now????

yeh true, he's more than that.

But what i mean is he scores shit loads of goals.

With Henry going for 16m and Reyes for 8m, we have to spend over 24m before we break even this summer, so Wenger has no excuses not to buy big names.
 
Kinda feel deflated this morning.

I hope the new signing is shown at the Emirates Cup.

Gilberto is now the only leading light in terms of experience. I haven't a fucking clue as to who we'll look to get, and in our current state (Dein left, Henry gone, Wenger going?), what star player would want to sign.

I can't even think of a like-for-like player :rolleyes:
 
Viera & Pires haven't been replaced, what hope do you have of replacing the best player ever to grace the Premiership? I'm really gutted and I'm a Liverpool supporter!
 
I was expecting Henry to help mould Walcott into your next star player. Without Henry, he doesnt really have anyone to look up to.
I know its kinda harsh for me to say this but I feel it was a bit selfish for him to leave Arsenal in the state that they're in. He had a great career at Arsenal but IMO, he didnt finish the job.
If Arsenal fail to improve on last season, I hope Henry feels guilty about it.
 
Wat about Tevez? Maybe Arsenal should buy him as a replacement. It would definitely be exciting. But personally I would prefer to see him in La Liga as well.
 
God bless him, I hope Arsenal can somehow benefit from his decision to leave. It could be a blessing in disguise, maybe he''l pull a Marc Van Basten and be in a wheelchair next season.

Relax m8! Wenger felt it was time, I hope VP11 will step up. Henry opt to go no point holding him down. Soon , he`ll write a book how he was pushed out. We all felt it was coming only Henry was the last to realised it. Thinking back he had a row w/ AW to play and he said" no" I`m sure words came out and we saw Henry mad (CL Final`06)we all know why Reyes didn`t feel at home either so as Henry the King his present at the camp wasn`t as invitng. As a TH14 fan and stalker ;) I`m hurting again and again ,but in the end his reign had to come down...now to remove the tattoo
