Arsenal Thread

Adebayor, Song, Sagna (family problem, not actually injury), Clichy, Senderos, Walcott, Almunia, Diaby, Rosicky, v.Persie, Denilson, Djourou
 
does anybody else other than me feel that Man United wanted to win the match more than us?.

We were found lacking very badly in full backs who are not of the highest quality like Clichy and Sagna.

Our mid feild was overrun,Gilberto seemed too static (maybe old) and Fabregas was hurried by the Uniteds packed mid feild.The only contribution i can remember Eboue make was the challenge on Evra which got him sent off.

Apart from first few minutes where Bendtner and Da Silva had some interplay going,there was nothing in the whole game upfront apart from one header from Da Silva which was off target.

disappointing performance tonight,we were out played in just about every department.

Really hope we do not get effected by this result..the last time we lost a match we came back solidly. hope we will do the same this time around.

Ade and Senderos playing, but just to make substitutions cous they played crap like the rest of the team.
Apart from that, no comments about this game.
 
a bit sad to get batter but if we win and they lose Wednesday it will be worth it , but for now im gutted that's are 4th lost and we usually come up winning.SAF put his strongest back 4 too. Chelsea may very well take it from them
 
Let me put this simply:

Man United had Tevez, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes & Neville out.

Arsenal had their share of injuries/rested players too. You still played Toure, Gallas, Fabregas & Eduardo.

We wanted it much more than you guys - Arsenal were AWFUL today. Toure & Gallas were shite and your full-backs just didn't play properly.

The best team won - no argument. You had an off-day lads - we had one last Sunday. :)

Always the same excuse. When you lost against Tottenham the gunners said "We had played with young players, bla bla bla..."
The explanation for the result is quite simple: Manchester United played much better than Arsenal. Thats it.
As Plan M said Manchester United had Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes & Neville out, so there are no excuse for the defeat.

Well we simply outdid you in every department today lads, one things for sure we should have scored more and if you defend like that on wednesday then im sure Kaka will..;)
 
I think Lemon should really just sit and re-watch those goals over and over again. Now, thats done and over with lets concentrate on CL and the league w/ 6pts above and Chelsea getting closer to Manutd . ACN is over they may be more dangerous than ever.


Milan is a massive mountain they`ve out class the Whole EPL...I know everyone is up for it ,Then Birmingham on Saturday and by the way AW response was good to see

We can`t concentrate on 1 game I will love it! if we go back and still 5 or 8 pts leading and a fit RVP. Are we afraid of Manutd ? it doesn`t matter have nani do all the classy show boating he wants...arrogant naaahh! :applause:


as for lemon you can`t have balls going through you from headers and then say Al doesn`t deserved 1st pick ...he is not the same neither is silva

Arsenal's attitude was a disgrace.The players looked like they couldnt be bothered and were just turning up for the formalities...and this is playing in "the greatest cup competition in the word".If this wasnt bad enough, when their being played off the park they resort to causing rucks, kicking and diving.I dont know how you lot are going to back up your players after this game.Gallas blatantly kicked Nani out of frustration,Eboue apparently has learnt KungFu from somewhere,Fabregas tried to break Nani's legs and got away with it.I dont want to bring up when Adebayor 'fell' and got booked for it,its taboo talk here.

Too bad your captain cannot back up his trash talk now and who was your player wearing that number 4 again?
 
the arsenal squad was very weak IMO, plus wenger putting hoyte and tridore in the LB was horrible, he had an horrible game and was lacking in confidence the overal arsenal defense was horrible they didnt have or created any chance during the game, Im still wondering if they had a clear shot on goal. it seem like if you can break the way Arsenal are playing their football they just cant adapt to situation and I think that will be a big factor in their champion league tie against AC milan, milan will just play like Man U playd today and pressure the ball and arsenal will have difficulties to adapt and try to play another kind of football wich they obviously cant as seen today. So Iam really scared for the match against AC milan now.

We were shite, end of. Utd wanted it more. But its only 1 game. Its how we do against Milan and Birmingham now that counts. The FA Cup is gone so lets move on.

Adebayor's dive was shocking, Gallas kicking Nani was out of order but I am gonna stick up for Eboue. I have watched the replays over and over and I cannot see what he was red carded for. Check it out again. Eboue's eyes are on the ball the whole time and as he has jumped he has caught the guy's leg. Totally unintentional IMO and I think his reputation preceeded him on this occasion.

Adebayor and Gallas were complete pricks - Adebayors dive was disgraceful and made me feel physically sick - I FUCKING HATE DIVERS - especially when they are on my team.

But I agree Eboues challenge didn't warrant a red Card - he had his eye on the ball - try and jump for a ball without lifting your leg like that - its hard not to. I don't think there was any intent.

TO be honest though the score probably would have been the same anyway - Our defence was shocking!!!

But then our two best players of the season for me have been GLichy and Sagna and they both were not playing and it was Toures first game back.

Anyway - The game in the league will be completely different. Hopefully we have our full defence then.....Hopefully.

Well done United It really looked like you wanted it more and you played a million times better. If we play like that against Milan we are going to get royally humped!!!!
 
Eboue definitely did not deserve a red card. it was not intentional at all. but gallas i can understand, he should have been booked. Hoyte, Traore and Gilberto all played like Shite. that was the reason the whole pressure was on Gallas and Toure. whereas i dunno why Hleb, Eboue and fabregas cudnt do much. and for always the worst combo is Bendtner and Eduardo. they just cant play well together. it shudnt have been like that--but cant help it coz we dont have an extra striker. so the bottom line is we need an extra Left back and right back and 1 striker(obviously good ones). i think then even our bench strength will be Strong.
 
Eboue didn't deserve a red card I agree but the challenge WAS intentional and you just can't get away with that in football today.

Anyway, let's move on lads (most of you have taken defeat with dignity apart from Beboq who seems quite bitter & thinks Lehmann is to blame?!); we've both got big games in the week and you are still leading the Premiership by 5 points. :)
 
if Clichy, Sagna and Adebayor(according to Arsenal.com he had slight muscular injury) would be OK for the match against Milan, I think we can win this match. Sagna and Clichy are very important for Arsenal as you saw in the match against ManU.
When v. Persie returns to the pitch?? it's been a while since he played his last game
 
You lot can always regain what you lost when you come visiting OT in the league.Onward we move to the CL shall we? We were beaten comprehensively by Milan last season...Hope you lot could do us a favour by beating them for the pride of english teams? Cheers.

Lehmann actually performed really well, i think he was the ONLY player who played well. Apart from Andersons' save the other saves he made were damn good. ofcourse he cant be saving all goals.

I've done nothing but praise Arsenal this season and as for diving, Bobby & that other guy started it & I responded with "all teams have players that dive." ;)

Stop being so bitter and move on - Clockender & co. have taken the defeat with dignity; you need to take a leaf out of their book. :)
