was still groggy. But I couldn't understand why Song
sat on the bench, fucking rotation.

no, if we dont finish in the top 4, wenger should go but us not finishing inside the top 4 is highly unlikely matey:TTTH::BYE:

All im asking for wenger at a bare minimum is that we finish in the top 4. anything else is just a bonus. i dont see us winning the CL. the fa cup was our best bet and we blew it.

It took around 2 minutes to search this thread for the word SACK and then quote the first few posts you've said it.
 
on a positive note gibbs was surprisingly up for the fight... I`m proud of My Gunners tbf. They did all with what they had a lil` trouble credit to Chels though. :FAIL: it`s part of the game
 
Just a sickner though, two fucking cheap goals. we rested after the first, and Fabianski was so shite it's not even funny. I thought Wenger was going to pull him off.

From the looks of the team, there are two players in there who i would never consider worthy to wear an Arsenal shirt - Diaby and Denilson, and they were so fucking shit it wasn't funny.

Oh well, CL left, and then the inevitable transfer shenanigans.

I am positive. We Only had Toure as our first choice back four. and Alumnia was out aswell. We didn't deserve to lose, I thought we were more than a match for Chelsea. I think the only difference was our weekened defence and the fact Fabianski shat himself in a important game.

Chelsea were not better than us. So I think we can take a big positive out of this game. If we had a full strength team I am quite positive we would have progressed.

Jonney you pissing and moaning afer every time we lose is annoying. You need to get a grip. You are acting like we got totally outplayed! if players didn't play well I thought it was more Adebayor not stepping up and Van Persie. We need our big players like this to play out of thier skin in these games and they didn't. That is not Wengers fault in my opinion.

If we don't get Clichy and sagna back soon and Djourou then there is no chance of the Champions league. Also Fabianski will need to learn from this game, but I think his confidence will be at an all time low at this point. So I hope Alumnia is back soon.

Also Chelsea resorting to falling over everytime our players breathed on them was another reason we didn't play so well, because of all the stopping and starting! but whats worse was the Ref falling for it everytime!! ridiculous!!!!

There are alot of positives to take from the game. But I just wish that the rest of the team had as much faith and positiveness as Walcott had throughout the game - then we may have got somewhere!

I think Wenger decided to keep Song in the bench as a substitute for Silvestre or Touré. Since all our CB's are injured, from now on Song is the best option to improvise at the back.

But that doesn't explain why Wenger had to insist with Diaby all day long. He was terrible!

So was Fabianski. Almunia would have saved the 1st goal. And how bad was he at those attempts to run out of the box? Almost let them score with a header from outside! That's the second time in 3 games he has done that, isn't it?
 
On a good note Gibbs the LB looks good, Nice to finally see some good English players coming through the top teams.

I thought Fabianski is a great goalie and as good as Almunia
but it must have been the 2nd league teams who made him look good.
The stupid runs out of the goal made me wondering.
I hope Almunia will be back very soon...

Not trying to wind any Arsenal fans up but AW said his team have a 5 year plan, so how long will the fans back him if you continue to not win anything. Another two years, three maybe even four...

I love the football Arsenal play but how long before it's not enough I wonder...

As long as we look like we are not far off. Like we are now. We just need to beef up the squad to counter all of the injuries.

We are still unbeaten in 18 games or something in the league, we got to the FA cup Semis and got knocked out basically because we had a second string defensive unit. We are in the champions league semi.

We are not far off.

Next season we will have Rosicky Nasri, Walcott and Arshavin. I can't think of a better set of Wingers in the premiership. I would like to sell Adebayor and get a new striker in. But if he stays our attack is fine. I think Bendtner will come good very soon, hopefully next season and with Eduardo aswell and Van Persie and also Vela, I think we are well covered there.

Our first choice defence is getting better and better. Just need another quality centre defender as backup or to rotate.

Centre mid we have Fabregas and Song looks like he is turning into a great player. I think we need another quality centre mid that is not young and has proven themselves.

The defender and the Midfielder Arsene should have got at the beginning of this season - that has been his biggest mistake since joining Arsenal. Hopefully he will put it right.

So all in all we definately need a couple of players to get through a season and win things.

I still think with our full first team, we can beat anyother team in the world. Just we never get to play with our full first team!!! So that in my opinion means we are not that far from winning something.

I think aslong as Wenger gets into the top 4 every season and has a good crack at the Champions league he wont be sacked. I think Wenger will leave before he is sacked. That will probably be when his contract finishes.
 
Yes, Gibbs is shaping up as an excellent left back and I think he will be way better than Clichy.

Against Liverpool, Wenger might use Alex Song in the middle because it's a big game. RVP might start as well and I really wouldn't mind if Eboué starts as a RB instead of Sagna.

Last season AW almost made it, as Arsenal finished only 4 points behind. If we look back, the difference was Hleb + Flamini. But that showed that it is possible to achieve something with this current foundations.

What really fucks us up are injuries and off-season departures. If Wenger talks about 5 year plans but keeps letting important players slip away, then he might lose the support from most fans.

Personally, I reckon it's impossible to have a solid 5 year plan in football nowadays especially when Arsenal has this wage structure. That's the kind of big talk I don't buy. The market is just too fast-moving and the big money does all the difference when contracts run out.

For instance, Flamini's departure was a major let down, but if Song turns out to be the player we expect, Wenger could say that Flamini was expendable and that he had it all under control, etc. But in my books it all would have come down to plain luck. No such thing as 5 year plan, no sir!

we wasnt far off last season yet we have gone backwards this season in the title race at least.

for me if we finish outside the top 4 he should go imo. this summer we have got to keep our players. if we do, we will challenge for the title.
 
He will go regardless if wenger is our manager or not if we fail to meet his expectations, and that is in competing for honours.

His barcelona bound, everyone knows this. he will finish off his career there. The question is not wether he will go there or not, its a question of when.

Our players in arsenal play for the club, not for wenger. Wenger doesnt represent Arsenal football in the same manner has Jose morinho not representing chelsea back in the day. what key players left afer morinho was gone?
 
Wenger has a completely different relationship with his squad compared with Mourinho, you cant compare the two situations.

Wenger has tutored Cesc since he was 15 or 16 years old, gave him a chance at the top and made him captain of Arsenal. There is a huge bond there.

Mourinho came in, most of the squad was already assembled, 25+ years old and anyone else he bought in himself. He was close to Drogba etc but not in the same way.

They have had a weeks rest. It is at Anfield and our defence is depleted and we have a goalkeeper that will probably be on a downer and worried (Hopefully he picks himself up).

We need Adebayor to put his heart into the game. We also need to not play Diaby. Diaby is so Hot and Cold it is unbelievable. There is alot of talent there, but no sign of consistancy at all! hopefully when he stops getting injured all of the time, his consistancy will come. But he just seems too cocky to me.

Anyway, fingers crossed!!! If we do win tomorrow, It will be a remarkable result.
 
That's not the Arsenal spirit. Just go out there and park the bus if you have to. ;)

i reckon liverpool will grab 3 goals at least. Arsenal have to play there very best football to stand a chance really
