RVP - Rifles a Penalty to the top of the net

Youth team GK Wojciech Szczesny came on in the 2nd half, impressive performance

boring game was more of a training then anything only test might be at the emirates tourney followed by valencia friendly
 
That was a soft penalty aswell. He just bumped into the back of gallas and got a penalty! crazy, deserved not to be a goal :DD
 
It's funny you say that. If you look at the top 4, all of their best out and out goal scorers are injury prone (Drogba, Torres, Owen(?), Eduardo). Makes you wonder what it is about that position, and be impressed at the Henrys/Shearers/Van Nistelrooys who by and large stayed fit for years at a time.
 
Good point. Actually even players like Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo were actually injured at times but played through the pain.

I dont really watch much outside the Premier League but does this happen abroad as well or is it just our league where the strikers are usually injury prone?

I think its down to things such as switching gears of pace which can be straining or just twisting your body in different directions when making a run, most of the time CF's be walking jogging and then have to burst into life.

Well both Gallas and Touré are always called to represent their national teams, as far as I know. But that isn't the right criteria to label as "World Class". Senderos is a starter for Switzerland....

We have Vermaelen, who seems good. So it is expected that he can team up well with Gallas.

But I still don't like Touré being transfered to City. We would be reinforcing rivals, cause unlike Ade, I think Touré would make a great positive impact there.

Toure was poor last season by his standards, he had just recovered from Malaria last summer. Coincidence? Probably.

I am upset to see him go tbh but we do need a bit of a shake up at the back and maybe this is what we need.

Now if we could only find a buyer for Silvestre.....

Well a lot of the voters will be younger people and kids who use the internet more than older fans. They wont even know who Michael Thomas is probably, and the fact 4 of those you posted are from last season just shows the memories of them.

I wouldn't take it as a definitive list mate, I see your point though.
