I haven't smoked anything jonney. I think Van Persie let his team down in that match, not with the sending off itself but he had lost it long before. I've seen the throat incident and i think i would be as upset as he is, but i'm not a top class professional football player. It was his "duty" to stay cool...
On top of that, like Rune said, he doesn't do himself and Arsenal any favours by his reaction and by naming (one) other club.
I'm pretty sure there are quite a few people at Arsenal who are not happy about RVP's reaction.
PS: Ronaldinho, please do me a favour and don't defend me...

Who knows what would have happened if we were able to defend those Barcelona attempts in the last 10 minutes with 11 men.
Who knows what would have happened if the ref didn't disallow our perfectly legal 0-2 at the emirates, or granted us the clear penalty done to Pedro (and sending off of kocielny)...
I think the red to VP was harsh, but not more important that those 2 decisions, for example.

Not that it's so important, but do you know why i think this was a justified second yellow? Not for what he did at that moment, that was a very minor offense. He got a justified second yellow and thus a sending off, because a that moment his purpose on the field was not to play a football match. He was a danger to himself and to the other players on the field.
The fact that the ref did not see what triggered it all (or did not judge it as a yellow and red) is irrelevant at that moment. A good ref should never compensate. In the end, was the sending off an injustice? Maybe it was, and i understand the frustration of the Arsenal fans. But i think the ref made the right decision (and i'm well aware that i'm virtually the only one who thinks this...).
In the end it's not that important.
