This is all getting a bit silly as everyone has their respective club hat on. take a step back. Relax, like the Grolsch man says.
Arsenal, this season, are without doubt the best team in England. 32 games unbeaten is a very good achievement, and has to be commended. So it takes less games to win the CL, but the opposition is tougher than the "week in week out" Premiership opponents (with the exception of the top few).
No matter what people say, i'm adamant Wenger wanted the CL trophy the most. It is the Holy Grail of Europe. Arsenal have won the league in recent years, but have always failed in the early stages of the CL. I think any of the last 4 teams, whoever may win, can call themselves the best team in Europe this season. Why the hell not? They've all had huge matches, and/or overcome minor miracles to get where they are. That shows resilience imo and the best teams won over 2 legs. Yes, AC Milan are a great side, but they lost a 3 goal advantage!! Same with Real Madrid, we always think of their attacking prowess, but come on, we all know they can't defend for shit. All their eggs are in one basket. Even little Osasuna ripped them apart this weekend. This is exactly why i think it's a good thing that the last 4 are made up of who they are.
gerd, you're right, we don't need Ronaldinho. But if Abramovich wants him, he'll try to get him. If a player like that arrives, it opens doors for other players to leave. Already there is talk of Veron going to Inter. If a striker comes in, one will leave, as teams will bid for the likely movers (JFH, Crespo, Forssell). I see a bit of a sale this summer at Chelsea. Let's not forget Zenden and Robben are incoming after the summer too.
