What PA are you using? I'm on PA3 and just can't win 22 points for div1 playing against PA1 and game handicaping me.

Imon PA2, i started on PA3 because of the occasional freedom where you can pass the ball into the empty space if you wish....but due to that the target locking is so bad many times in tight situation a straight pass to my players went way off. I think its buggy. What PA are you using? I'm on PA3 and just can't win 22 points for div1 playing against PA1 and game handicaping me.

It used to be either FUMA or PA1 (i.e. Level 3), or else get in the bin.
Interesting that the target locking bug affects Level 3. Maybe confirms my theory more that the target lock is designed for high assist players firstly. By the time you play FUMA it's fucked. Still got to D4 with it but now only play offline occasionally if I can be arsed to play it at all.
They are better short-term, but long term when others come to that market ---- it will be the end.Related news...
Eurogamer: Konami just had its most profitable year ever
There's not much from eFootball in there - when the first version (pre-v1) launched, I think I'm right in saying that microtransactions were available for a short period before they were disabled due to the ferocious feedback.
There'll be plenty from the PES Mobile game though, I'm sure - though it seems to pale in comparison to the money they're making through "Yu-Gi-Oh!", pachinko games etc...
This just shows Konami are better off (from a financial standpoint) out of the traditional console release industry. We won't get another game like PES ever again (a fully-featured football game designed to be anything other than a money-spinner from the ground up).
There isn't any incentive to focus on the offline game or authentic team presentation anymore. I find it surprising they still spend money on licenses and club ambassadors as I doubt they even really need those endorsements.Related news...

If they are still getting and fighting for licenses if for to get more customers from those countrys and opening the brand efootball in the market to other countrys. Is just a marketing issue not for a master league or to give offline contentThere isn't any incentive to focus on the offline game or authentic team presentation anymore. Even 4 years ago at the time of The World Cup 2018, I couldn't have fathomed that PES & FIFA will no longer exist both in name and traditional format by the time of the next World Cup.
Have you not seen their financial figures?I don't think EA will go Free2Play. There is no reason for it if you compare it to efootball which didn't have much choice.
EA wants to dictate the changes to the franchise, without having one company regulating it's features.I still don't believe Fifa will go Free2play. Seeing that they hire in so many different parts of the game, also I remember an interview where they once mentioned that the player base for career mode is still pretty high.
Adding to that: they recently have changed their approach a bit see Star Wars Squadrons and so on. So I have a feeling they might keep Fifa a paid game also as a differentiator to all the other Free Games like UFL and efootball.
Can even be used for Marketing: you get the full Football experience with all game modes for one price.
Cross play also doesn't include mobile. (And probably won't since it is different engines and Fifa actually once had a flop on Mobile where they used a strong graphics engine and it limited their mobile player base). And in general Crossplay isn't a bad thing. My guess is they keep Fifa Mobile as its own thing and present EAFC as the only premium game on the market.
But we will see.
I don't think Fifa ever cared/regulated what features the game had.EA wants to dictate the changes to the franchise, without having one company regulating it's features.
Next year you will notice how FIFA was limiting EAI don't think Fifa ever cared/regulated what features the game had.
The dream would be separate games with bigger teams to make a fully fleshed-out, functional single-player football game in the style of the games you mention. But I can't see it, because A) there is proveably a bigger audience for single-player "epic" experiences (e.g. Star Wars) than there is for single-player "sports" experiences...Adding to that: they recently have changed their approach a bit see Star Wars Squadrons and so on. A bit of research brings up a few interesting examples from articles created this week, that seem to come from industry knowledge:Probably not at all.
In which way do you think Fifa influenced EA and regulated them.
Just give me some examples where you think they did?
Without FIFA setting the rules, EA is likely to follow the lead of other popular online games by allowing more player-created content, which could be shared in a persistent online environment similar to Fortnite. There’s also room to adapt the classic FIFA gameplay to other variations on the sport beyond the rigid 11 v 11 match. And of course EA will be looking to strike licensing deals with clubs and tournaments around the world that are not overseen by FIFA.

Exactly. The very reason why F2P works as a concept is because all you're asking of the customer is their time and bandwidth to download the game. You're enticing them with the free sample and once their in there and having fun, then you overwhelm them with your brightly coloured brainwashing in game storefront and obnoxious ads and then before you know it, they're spending money anyway on content they didn't know they wanted at first but now they know they need. EA don't even need to charge for the base game really, just do it just because they can and it still works as a buisiness model. I bet if Epic reversed it and started charging for a hypothetical Fortnite 2, they would still be richer than Saudi Arabia, but that's neither here not there. If you get rid of the customer's cost of entry (i.e. having to pay for the game, and it's prohibitively expensive until 8 months after its release)... Suddenly your potential audience is even bigger. A hell of a lot of people will pay for card packs etc. when they've got the game for free, because they're not having to pay for anything else.
I would bet they would more than make up the missing $267m from the volume of people who would join their ecosystem and put $10 in. Let alone the percentage of those who will find themselves putting $100 in before they know it, because the game is designed to get you addicted if you're in any way succeptible.

The Tech EA uses in FIFA is incredibly advanced. It would be interesting to see how the game might change with freedom to dictate gameplay and modes.
