Tried it: Went back to being a stuttery low fps mess. Gonna go back to -dx12 and stay there!

Can’t play the update either, gameplay sucks right now and with no offline content so boring after 2 mins in the game
Whats the purpose of holding the teams back unlocked for like 5 years because thats what Robbye basically says? Not to mention the fact that exhibition unlocked would be boring as hell on its own without any competitive edge! If Konami thinks they can sush us with only exhibition mode??? The worst part is that @Bogo36 proved us the mode is already complete in the game so just release it!!!
“We are not in Pes anymore” but you basically ported PES 2021 to UE with all its animations end cutscenes so this comment makes me actually angry!
PES 2021 and in October Fifa 23 next gen on pc it will be for me
Football is about winning trophies and compete with the teams, seems it is a Pokemon card game in this day and age

Nothing extraordinary here. You can have goals like that in eFootball and much more realistic looking ones than these 20 years old outdated looking ones. You would know that...if you actually played the game. Also the goalkeepers react like they're on amateur difficulty. If you see goalkeeping like this on eFootball you'll say it's shit..but when it's on retro PES it's ''varied goals'' lol. Also if you say that this looks more varied and technically advanced than what we have today..you need to go to have your eyes checked.

Also saying things like ''your beloved eFootball'' to anyone that says something positive about the game and trying to ridiculate him or leaving smiling fucking emojis on every positive post just shows your obsession and toxicity. And i don't think that anyone here really cares if you ''promise to install it right now to try it'' either..like you have to prove something or we have to convince you about anything..You're a grown fucking man..do what you wanna do. Now go click some more smileys..

This is exactly how to ruin a somewhat balanced game. They went in, toned down the dribbling and upped the defending. This results in:
A. Already OP teams are impossible to break down
B. Already OP teams OP tackling attackers are double OP now.

Great job!

in my experience the defending is great but the really made the match up look trash match up should be like you hold your position match the opposite player not in a speedy way and if you want go in for it then you press if you have a chance to win the ball but the match up in this update isnt effective match up feels like pressing for the ball in a speedy way didnt expect match up to be like charge for the ball they should make it look like fifa match up button they should work on the match up other than that i love everything about the game

Perhaps offline it does. Online is a shitfest, its so clear now that you not only buy good players for money but the scripting itself too. I have 0 chance getting to div 1 now. Which is a bit iffy just because an update came out, they screwed up the game even further. If you pay and buy 99 rated players, you are good and only skill/exploit remains to make a difference. Other than that now there is barely any chance to play smart football and win by tactics or subs or anything. Let alone doing a 4-3 comeback i posted a while ago. Game is fucked at its state as a football game.

Dont get me into match up or tackling. If its a stronger player, you just bounce off, Mbappe pushes my defender while he is also carrying the ball for a good 10-15 meters(no joke), animations cut off awkwardly here and there, intercepted balls gravitate back to the oppostion etc.


this is very much what FIFA embodies, enjoy guys

This kind of thing summarises the game in a nutshell for me. The code is ancient in every way. Sure, it doesn't happen every game, but it happens often enough that I don't think you can call it a freak occurrence. The lag in response (offline or online), the AI that can't sense danger or allow players to work together / communicate... Jesus Christ it's a sad state of affairs to be in, in the year 2022.

I just can't take it seriously.

Not hating the game by any stretch now. It’s got a lot of work still to be done but 2.0 is getting there. 26 offline teams is enough for me to play occasionally now and although the game has so much going on in the menus it reminds me of a Las Vegas casino, the gameplay is much better than the FIFA 23 demo I played for a few days.

still waiting for some offline modes like a league option or something before I throw too much time into the game but it’s headed in the right direction unlike the other footy title.

As you mention the menus... In my attempt at playing it yesterday, I was stunned by just how much menu lag there is. You press literally any menu option and you get something like a 0.4-0.7s delay. Incredibly frustrating. How have they STILL not optimised this? Fucking amateurs.

And to top it off, every time I returned to the main menu, this screen popped up. I'm not joking – every single time:
