That FK "trick" was a disgrace...we are begging for a goal. I'm out of words, really. Algeria deserved this extra-time, played fantastic tonight.
 
It's official. Neuer is one crazy mofo. But at least it does the trick thus far. Muller slip was kind of funny, don't see that every day. Even little things like that make me love this WC edition even more.
 
Problem 1 is: I don't think Müller slipped accidentally.
Problem 2 is: Neuer should play GK and not sweeper.
 
Props to Germany for trying something that was always going to look phenomenally dumb if it failed

You should be glad that Neuer is amazing coming out of goal. Otherwise you would be screwed.



Germany only in the last 15/20 minutes when they are playing on the wing are being effective and dinamic. You are not Spain, Löw. Your player don't have that football culture. You cannot play without any presence in the wings. Mustafi injury was a blessing in disguise. Lahm is much more important as a RB for this team.

Amazing effort from Algeria. They are so good on the counter. One of the best vertical games I saw in years. Just a few seconds to go the length of the field.

He's more than just that. He's very good tecnically. Not flashy, not a dribbler, but a great in terms of first touch and shoulder dropping, etc. Plus a smart player, with great vision, good passing and a great intensity and versatility.

I'm happy as hell, the problem is the defence. This shouldn't be Neuer's main place of work on the pitch.

Glad we finally scored. Not saying this is deserved, but we finally put some pressure onto their defence.
 
It's deserved alright but I kinda feel that the "little things" goes Germany's way in terms of whistle blowing. That's not Germany's fault though.

edit: A fair goal is always deserved. Goals wins matches, possession and chances doesn't.

That's the problem of playing the high possession game. You need to have pressure high and this means having to play a high line. But that’s not suit your personnel at all. Boateng and Mertesacker (or Hummels) aren't actually Puyol or Ramos.

I reckon if Germany played their traditional game, like in the Euro 2012, you would win the WC. You have so many solutions, but Löw does not seem a man with a plan, just rolling with whatever Bayern is playing this days.
 
Agree. But he wants to keep the mechanisms and tactics he showed with the starting eleven today and that's just crap.
