in this logic? is Messi worse than CR? being injured few weeks doesn´t make him worse imo.

Individual awards like this should be given to best players of most succesfull teams. Ribery was just that.

CR has had a better year as a player than Messi.

Individual awards are for individuals. CR has been the best player in the world in 2013. Ribery? no chance

I doubt very much you'll be arguing against Suarez winning POTY even tho he probably won't have a PL medal

2010
Snijeder deserve golden ball he won all three trophys,
2012
CR deserve he won two trophys (la liga, copa de rey), Messi just score lot of goals (over 100 records, top scorer in history)
2013 Ribery sucks in Bayern he just asist for 5 trophys, CR deserve he is top scorer...

Personally I like Messi's tuxedo. Don't understand why men have to wear always black. But I dislike conventions and protocols that tell you what to do, so I could be in the minority here.

Personally, I think what Messi did there was very subtle. He was dressing in red to express that Ribery deserved to win ;)

PS: That doesn't change the fact that the tuxedo he wore years ago with the white dots looked indeed horrible, even for me.

Funny, you didn't mention 2011. That's when Cris had broke multiple records, but somehow Messi won it, because he won more trophies. Yet, the year after, Messi won it for the exact same reason Ronaldo didn't deserve it.

The award is incredibly biased and not always the best wins it, if Iniesta couldn't do it, no one will. Messi/Ronaldo will win it every year.

Personally, and being a Barcelona fan as I am, I would never give the trophy to Iniesta. He's totally overrated. This doesn't mean he's not an incredibly gifted player. He is, but but he hardly decides matches and his productivity and teamwork is really really low. Xavi, Messi and Snejder deserved it more.

I watch all Barcelona matches for the full season, and all the national matches. And I tell you, Messi that year was absolutely magnificent in both goals and assists and playmaking and was critical in all important matches except in the World Cup where argentina was average.

But imagine you swap Iniesta and Messi in that world cup. Do you think Iniesta would have done more for Argentina and Messi less for Spain? Doubt it. That's why I don't think the World Cup should be that important. And for the record, other than the goal in the final the world cup of Iniesta was mediocre and he played below his capabilities.

Choosing the best player will always be a very subjective thing. I would give it to Messi each year because I watch him live and even injured he can dribble 3 and score and decide matches against big teams like Milan or PSG, I had never seen someone so absolutely gravitational and with such a critical impact in the game.

But in terms of performance, I think it was very obvious that Ribery (or someone from Bayern) should have won it this season by a large margin, and the best 11 should be full of Bayern and Borussia players. Other than Messi not a single Barcelona player deserved to be there.

It's just marketing and it sucks.

why stop it ? i dont want politic here i just posted the formation strong team and good players for a little country
You have answered your own question, the squad of course is good, but Kosovo was very much, it could lead to political debate. Suppose first that Kosovo will be adopted by FIFA, then you can already predict anything. ;)

Croatia already ask for a friendly but seems like we cant play with EX Yugoslavia countrys for NOW , I think our first friendly will be against Turkey , but international media its saying it will be France or Holand so I don;t know we have to wait and see , our FA President said that a friendly match will com on March. still we doesnt have full rights , like having a symbol but we still can have "KOSOVO" writen on kits , and just a first step and I believe very soon we will be a fully member of FIFA and UEFA

International friendlies - FIFA allows Kosovo to play friendly matches
Kosovo is to be allowed to play friendly matches against FIFA member-states at club and international level with some limitations, world soccer's governing body said on its website (www.fifa.com) on Monday.

The permission was a big step forward for Kosovo to start competing at international level six years after it declared independence from Serbia.
"Following various meetings that have taken place since 2012, the FIFA Emergency Committee has today...confirmed a set of modalities of friendly matches involving clubs and representative teams of Kosovo," FIFA said.
"Clubs and representative teams of the (Football Federation of Kosovo) may not display national symbols (flags, emblems, etc.) or play national anthems."
Kosovo will still not be allowed to play matches against clubs and representative teams of countries of the former Yugoslavia until further notice.
Many athletes from Kosovo have chosen to move abroad and compete for adopted countries in order to take part in major sporting events which are still out of reach for Kosovo given that it is yet to become a member of the United Nations.
The country with more than 90 percent Albanian population got the go-ahead after a series of meetings with the leadership of the Serbian Football Association and FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
"The decision...represents a major boost for football development in Kosovo and it once again confirms the extraordinary power of our sport to bring people together," Blatter said.
The decision was hailed as a major victory in Kosovo and local media have already come up with candidates eligible to play for the national team.
"I congratulate Kosovo's entire sporting community for this achievement," the country's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said on his facebook page.
"I express the hope that in the near future, the Kosovo Football Federation will be an equal member of UEFA and FIFA where today's limitations will not be valid anymore," he said.
Almost six years since Pristina declared independence, Serbia is still blocking Kosovo's membership of many international organisations.
Kosovo is recognised by more than 100 countries but it is not a United Nations member and is thus still unable to become a full FIFA and UEFA member, meaning that it is still ineligible to play competitive matches at club and international level.
