Moyes is the best decision Utd ever made
Don't you have some pile of money you can go roll in. No need to rub it in
I watched the match. Wasn't a testimonial, it was a preseason friendly with half our squad missing.
Not a lot of positives, but quick thoughts:
- Adnan is very good
- Anderson is great going forward, and can actually play passes to free wingers
- Valencia played football again
- Zaha looks good too
Lots of bads
- Cleverley and Anderson together in midfield should never ever happen again
- Buttner in defense should never ever happen again
- Giggs is a legend, but that shouldn't excuse him from being a one-man possession destroying machine
- Who was wearing Kagawa's jersey tonight? Was it some Rio 5 magazine contest winner? Worst performance I've ever seen from a United player. Literally. Worse than Bebe at Watford. Absolutely, mind-blowing terrible. A Rooney replacement? I want some of whatever you're smoking.
- Chris Smalling doesn't understand the offside rule. Two of their goals were a simple result of him being about 5 yards behind the defensive line.
- And worst of all, Wayne Rooney couldn't even drive to watch from the crowd. F*cker. Sell him to Anzhi. For £1.
We're in a lot of trouble. I could see us getting 3 points from our first 5 matches. Seriously.
The management have let down David Moyes to an unacceptable degree. Hardest job in world football and you don't bring in any players that can be ready for the hardest start to a season I can remember. It's an utter shambles, but what do you expect from a man that has never run a football club taking over as CEO of the largest in the world?
I look forward to some signings - but probably won't happen til our share price is scaring the Glazers.
