I am sure that without Pelé football wouldn't be as relevant as it is today and something much bigger, it wouldn't be the best and most practiced sport in the world. He changed something and opened the way for all the cracks that came after. May his soul rest in peace and may his memory live on.
PS: Pelé, Maradona, Cruyff, Di Stéfano, Yashin. The team above became invincible.
you are right its the same as when messi and ronaldo gonna retire it would hit really hardI really wasn't expecting to be hit as hard as I was with these news, seen we knew it was coming thanks to reports in the last few weeks... but still, this is just so wrong to me, the idea of living in a world without Pelé, it's like Basketball fans not having Michael Jordan or football fans, the one where they almost don't use their foot, not having Tom Brady... it's just off. I wish Pelé was more beloved by Brazilians in life, similar to how Argentinians loved Maradona, it was right.
Honestly a part of me feels like football itself has just died, and not only because of its biggest player passing away, but after the latest World Cup, where we saw Messi pretty much complete football in the all time greatest final, a part of me felt like I had just seen the peak and this sport was completely finished to most, that everything after it would just feel like filled... and now Pelé's gone, I can't help but feel that, as much as I love this sport, it's done, the soul is gone.
