Hi everyone,
PES 2008, PES 2009 and PES 2013 are back online, so it's only fair to talk about the game that never left. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is still played online every single day on pes6.es, straight from the game's own network menu, just like in 2006. No VPN, no Hamachi, no Radmin. PC and PS2 players share the same lobbies.
Desde 2018 Pes6.es has kept it running ever since, and over the last few years we've refactored and hardened it from top to bottom. It's now the base of our PES5, PES 2008, PES 2009 and PES 2013 servers too, and one pes6.es account works for all of them. On a normal evening there are more than 150 players online, esta misma semana hemos batido el record diario con mas de 4100 partidos en un solo día.
What you can do
- Ranking and friendly matches in rooms, 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2, with points, rating and monthly seasons
- Four PES6.es Cups every day, at 22:00, 23:00, 02:00 and 03:00 Spanish time. Sign up from the game's Competition menu; the rules of each cup are on pes6.es/competitions
- Lobbies for the original game (No patch & PS2), for the PES6 Phoenix Patch 2025/26, Infinitty 26 and other patches, plus around 80 lobbies run by community leagues
- Friends list, blacklist, messages and groups
- On pes6.es: live lobbies with the score and minute of every match, the latest results, the ranking and every player's profile
- The pes6.es Database: more than 20,000 real footballers converted to PES6 ratings, positions and special abilities, with 2026/27 squads
How to join
You need PES6 for PC or PS2 and a pes6.es account. There's a full step-by-step guide on pes6.es; here's the short version:
- Get the game. On pes6.es/downloads you'll find PES6 ready for online: the original game (No Patch) for PC, the PS2 ISO and the PES6 Phoenix Patch 2025/26. When the installer asks for the serial, write it down.
- On PC, replace roster.dll. If your game has a Kitserver folder (our download and most patches do), download the Roster from pes6.es/downloads and copy it into C:\Program Files (x86)\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 6\Kitserver, replacing the one that's there. The right file is 184,832 bytes. Without it, the game takes a long time to connect and may tell you your ports are closed.
- Sign up at pes6.es/signup with the same serial your game was installed with, and activate your account from the email we send you. Usernames are case-sensitive, and the password can have up to 10 characters, letters and numbers only. Already have a pes6.es account? Check that your PES6 serial is in your profile.
- Log in from the game. Go to network mode and, in the password field, type your username and password joined by a hyphen. For example, if your username is Lampard and your password is Chelsea, type Lampard-Chelsea.
- Pick a server and a lobby. Playing the original game? Go to NO PATCH PES6.es and one of the No patch & PS2 lobbies. Playing with a patch? Pick its server (PES6 Phoenix 2025-2026, INFINITTY 26, OTHER PATCHES…).
Playing your own copy of PES6, without our download or a patch? Open Notepad as administrator, open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, add these two lines at the end and then run ipconfig /flushdns in a command prompt:

- "There was an error in verification"? The serial in your pes6.es profile isn't the same as your game's. Fix it in your profile.
- Can't join other players' rooms? Forward UDP port 5739 to your PC on your router (it's the port in settings.exe, Online tab), or turn on UPnP. Close PES5 and PES 2008 before you start PES6: they use the same port.
- Can't connect with other players in a lobby? It's usually different game data. Use the No patch lobbies with the original game, or your patch's own lobby.
- The match drops after a few minutes? Don't let Windows turn off the screen or go to sleep while you play. The gamepad doesn't count as activity for Windows.
