I'm very happy for Palermo. Since I spent my 2000 holidays in Sicily and loved it, I decided to buy their shirts every year !!! I already have 6 shirts :) and waiting for the new ones.

I love to buy shirts too.
I have football shirts of several teams in europe even the less known (such as Omonoia Nicosia, Hibernians Paola, etc), and of course I have Palermo's shirts since we're playing in Serie C (italian third division)

Re: Serie A Thread

I never buy shirts, but Palermo's shirt are beautiful..i love pink shirts...
Good that Palermo are top of the league now...what i'm wondering, why does Bresciano never plays...if he isn't injured then Palermo must have a very good squad...

Re: Serie A Thread

Bresciano played yesterday evening, and he was , with Corini, the best on the field.

Mark plays in a role that is very exhausting, so coach Guidolin ,since Palermo plays every 3 days, applies a turnover to spare him for big matches

Re: Serie A Thread

Milan was made my an English man.

Genoa has the English flag because of:

The flag of Genoa was adopted by England and the City of London in 1190 for their ships entering the Mediterranean to benefit from the protection of the powerful Geonoese fleet. The maritime Republic of Genoa was rising and going to become, together with its rival Venice, one of the most important powers in the world. The English Monarch paid an annual tribute to the Doge of Genoa for this privilege. Between England and Genoa, two mercantile and sea-faring nations, there has ever been a special and long-standing relationship. Genoa is generally regarded as "the most English town of Italy".

However the one on Milan and Inter's flags are not the same, they came before since they represent Lombardy.

Re: Serie A Thread

Nice to see Carlo Ancelotti getting on with his players.

The pitch side television cameras caught the exchange during yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Livorno and it comes just a few days after a similar argument with Kaka.

“You have to play the ball quickly. You’re too slow,” said the Coach from the side of the field.

Seedorf responded: “Focus on Coaching. You can’t just criticise. Instead of shouting, you might like to give us a hand from the bench.”

Ancelotti was furious and answered the Dutchman. “And you focus on playing. You’re lucky I’ve run out of substitutions, otherwise you’d be off.”
