That looks much better, might pick up the game now.

Depends what you are used too.
It is better than Top Spin and on sale everywhere now - But it still isn't a great game.

The difficulty is just weird, instead of the CPU playing better shots and playing more aggressive or better they just get to everything and winning a point becomes a chore rather than a pleasure - Unless this has changed since I last played it (about 6 months ago).

It probably is the best of the console tennis games as you have a choice of this or Topshit.
Otherwise PC has Full Ace and Tennis Elbow, which when modded are incredible games from a gameplay perspective.

The game is really nice now. The best state since the start

Some new videos

Alexander Zverev Vs Daniil Medvedev US Open Legend

Jack Draper Vs Novak Djokovic Australian Open legend

Madison Keys Vs Iga Swiatek Roland Garros legend

Thank you for keeping us all up to date with this game.

I've been playing a lot of FAT and TE4, but welcome something more modern.

This is the best this game has looked.

Can I ask some questions?

1. Your rallies seem to last the right length. Is that something the base game has solved or is it your sliders?

2. How is the feeling when you hit the ball? Does it feel punchy and powerful enough? How is the controller vibration? Tiebreak worries me that shots may feel too weak at point of impact...

4. Does it feel like real tennis? It looks like tennis now more than ever. If they could reduce drag on the ball and increase gravity a little, it would look very good to the eye.

3. Can you post your sliders please? Thank you!

You're welcome.
I know many people like tennis. But TieBreak has a lot of haters since the Early Access, I don't know why

1. Since the last patch i didn't used sliders, the game is now perfect for me. I have more troubles with sliders : CPU didn't make double faults!

2. I use A dualsense so I feel the power when I made a flat shot, it's well done, better than TopSpin 2k25. The vibration are really good.

3. No more sliders but i can post my old sliders

4. The game is nice to play and looks like tennis. It's a great mix of arcady and simulation. Now with a more realistic ball physics, the CPU Plays better and clever

Nadal is very hard top beat, you have to use short angles, flat shots, going to the net more often to win a point. Andreeva can hit hard and made a dropshot just after. Sinner Plays with the mines with power.

Women play with more effect than m'en, it's a different feeling but I love both

This is all fantastic, thank you for basically providing a tennis games service to the evo web community!

No need to post sliders, glad this is the base game, as sliders arent always the answer.

I will pick this up in the steam sale. I'm looking forward to it. The animations are so far ahead of every other game. Sounds like it will be a good companion to FAT and TE4.

Hi FShas...did you take it at the end?
What are your impressions?
Thanks
Hi! I havent so far.

I'm slightly wary that after playing so much te4 and FAT that it will seem too shallow...

Machete games also tore it apart a little in his recent best tennis game review and that was disappointing and put me off further.

Watching it, it looks good, except for at the net. But I've been a little wary of it again...sorry, couldnt be or help.

I have been tempted to retry it but decided against it in the Steam and PS sales.
Saturator keeps saying it is getting better and better with every patch, but also said it was good game when I played it about 6 months ago.

I will possible get it when CDKey sites get it back in stock as most places on PC sold it for around £15 for the Ace Edition.

Personally didn't enjoy it as animations felt weird and the game felt lazy, as when you played on harder difficulties it was just harder to win points as the CPU got to pretty much everything and you just hitting it from side to side using different shots till you won the point.
There was rarely any easy points and it was just a slog.
Only racked up about an hour and a half on the game and was winning on hard difficulty after a handful of matches.

As stated it played better than TopSpin but is nowhere near FA for gameplay.
FA has different issues but the gameplay is just another level compared to TieBreak.

Yeah, I just dont quite feel convinced by any videos on YouTube. If it was as good as it looks in some videos, it would be selling out. In other videos it looks like tennis on the moon. And net play looks horrendous.

Though it's on fanatical for around £16 I think right now.

Top spin is a really poor game I think. It plays so little like modern tennis. They seem to have built the entire game around the animations.

FAT has the best ball physics and variety. But the presentation needs improvement which is on the developer's list. And controller vibration, which is a huge miss atm as the game lacks muscle. That's coming too though.
But in terms on different shots mattering, and requiring the proper counter shot, FAT is unparalleled. Slicing is amazing because of how it demands the right shot in response.

TE4 is so good at the explosive, msucularity of tennis, the intensity, especially on clay and hard court. It nails baseline battles. But it feels like the hardest shot wins 90% of rallies, which can make the game feel slightly one dimensional at times. Top spin requiring a pull down on left stick instead of having its own button is also a frustrating design decision.

The recent motion matching has improved the animations, and the incoming motion capture will again, but the ball physics feel overly weighed down and slightly scripted at times, a bit like pes used to on curled shots.

So, as many have said, we end up with no rounded tennis game.
