The Master League adventures thread

Hi All,

After toying around with FC26 and trying to find a new long term save I am back with a new PES21 Master League.

I have downloaded a few of the latest squads and spent some time bringing the game up to date as much as possible.

Hopefully anyone who has followed some of my previous long term saves will enjoy this one too.

PES21 Master League - Season 1 - Colo Colo

View attachment 381645

I have enjoyed several long term South American ML’s but mainly with Brazilian and Argentinian teams. I have been following some of the South American leagues a bit more closely lately and landed on Chile as my next destination.

Colo Colo are the most successful team from Chile, with 34 Primera Division titles. They are still the only Chilean side to win the Copa Libertadores top, defeating Paraguayan side Olímpia in the 1991.

Hailing from Santiago, they have a deep rivalry with fellow Santiago based clubs Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica.

The main aim of the save will be to build up a successful team using young players and players from Chile where possible.

Ultimately, I will be looking to break the dominance of the Brazilian and Argentine clubs by bringing another Copa Libertadores back to Colo Colo.

Colo Colo have one of the strongest sides in the league, so to add to the challenge I have stripped them of their usual line up and replaced it with my own custom team made up of lower rated, aging players.

Let’s go Colo Colo :BSCARF:

I’ll be back with some match updates soon
Sounds brilliant, best of luck mate and looking for to the journey

Hi guys! Never posted about any of my ML journey. Best on was on PES 2017 - Pro Vercelli (7 scudetti in real life) something around 6-7 season's ;)
But just yesterdey I've started my new career in WE9 (first time playing this game hehe). Of course I choose Juventus - my beloved team!
In 2005 Juve team was superstrong and Capello 1-0 style very efective so I'm recreating this (non intentionally haha). after 1st half of the season it's superfun!

Nice to see the old horrible but great Delle Alpi again, great for PES awful in real life

Last month's I've had 3 seasons of FIFA 17 and now halfway through a FIFA 18 season so I guess it was time to dust off my league (one of them) mode on PES 19.
Playing as River Plate.
Won the Argentinian super cup against Boca (2-1( then my first league game vs Bandield (4-1) and now my first Argentinian cup game Vs Union Santa Fe.

1-0 up til the end of the first half when they made it 1-1.
Start of the 2nd half and they made it 2-1.
Had to push up quite heavily the last 30 min.one Great thing happened in the 80th min, their striker took a dive in my box and got a yellow card for his troubles.
86th my n and I bombarded them with two shots the goalie saved, a shot hitting the crossbar, then a low shot the GK pushed out and we scored on the rebound making this a 2-2 draw.

Really a fun game and will return to this more often, either my River save or my SPAL save.

One thing though, may sound crazy, but this game Vs my FIFA 18 feels more light and floaty.
Really weird and wasn't expecting that.
Great fun though

PES21 - Master League Season 1 - Colo Colo

It has been a start of the season packed with cup action. The Copa Chile takes place prior to the main season starting so our attentions quickly turned to pulling together a decent cup run.

In all honesty, with team spirit quite low, good performances were hard to come by. We scraped a few results to somehow make it to the semi final, without playing particularly well.

We came up against Union Espanola for a place in the final. Both legs were pretty cagey games but we probably edged it overall. It took extra time in the second leg to decide a winner when Union Espanola snatched a late winner to bring our cup run to an end. We definitely did not play well enough to win the cup, but that is the beauty of cup runs and muddling your way through the odd game - Unfortunately we fell short this time around.

IMG_5885.jpeg

We also gained a place in the Copa Libertadores, by default. Again, there is no great expectation here but it will be a great way of seeing how far off we are from some of the better teams in the competition. We have been dealt a tough group but the highlight so far was a 2-1 away win in Argentina against Racing.

IMG_5886.jpeg

Next up, we have our first league fixture against Everton. It will be great to get the league campaign up and running. I am not sure we have the squad depth yet to compete in the league and Copa Libertadores, so we may have to prioritise certain games as we juggle a busy start to the season.

Hi, I want to ask, is it possible for us to see our master league player statistics like this? Not just opponent data.

PES21 - Master League Season 1 - Colo Colo

IMG_5900.jpeg

It was great to finally get our league campaign underway after a start to the season dominated by cup action.

We have enjoyed a pretty inconsistent start but there are some signs that things are starting to click. We were pretty hopeless on the opening day as we fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Everton, without registering a single shot on goal.

Next up we faced Deportes Melipilla away from home. We dominated the game and should have won, but again we struggled to find any real cutting edge and the game fizzled out into a 0-0 draw.

The pressure was already building as we headed in to our third game against O’Higgins. However we put in our best performance to date and secured a solid 2-0 home win after a really dominant display.

Next up we have Copa Libertadores action as we look to qualify for the Round of 16 👍🏻

Pretty good start mate, guess your TS is low?
Youll grow into this for sure

PES21 - Master League Season 1 - Colo Colo

A good few games into the season now and the league is starting to take shape. Our Team Spirit is slowly creeping up which has contributed to some improved performances, but inconsistency is still very much our issue.

Having to rotate a very small squad whilst juggling Copa Libertadores action has not helped. We managed back to back league wins against Audax Italiano and Nublense which has helped our position.

IMG_5911.jpeg

Elsewhere, we qualified top out of a pretty tough Copa Libertadores group. Pre-tournament favourites, Flamengo, are out so the competition feels wide open. We have definitely saved our better performances for the Copa Libertadores so who knows how far we could go? We have a tough Round of 16 draw against Ecuadorian side Liga de Quito.

Next up in the league are back to back derbies against Universidad Católica and early pace setters Universidad de Chile.

Let’s go Colo Colo!

Ended my third season with Genoa on Pes 2019.. this time it's Europe:RSCARF:!

Out in the second, doomed Coppa Italia turn against Juve, only the League to focus on, De Ketalaere kept on growing like a monster (4 points in OVR this year!) and, being the top scorer with 13 goals, carried me for most of the season, proving me right in selling MacAllister, but all the rest of the team (Bellingham in particular, another young monster, and all the defense, that with Malanga Sarr made another leap of quality) performed really well.

1761503234441.png

As per usual, anyway, the game rules trolls me, and exactly like it happened on Pes 21 time ago, I fought hardly for the fourth place, convinced that it would have been a CL spot: as you can see in the standings, the last few games felt really TIGHT, constantly on the edge of being surpassed by Inter or Bologna in a very thrilling, and pleasing end of the league.. only to realize that, according to Konami, Serie A does only have 3 CL spots and I'll do EL instead😅. Anyway, on second toughts is a blessing on disguise, as doing at least a round of EL feels more coherent with the story.

Now, my roster not being so abudant, an exiciting market for three competitions awaits.. only "problem" I've just realized, my stars asks outerwordly salaries to renew their contracts! Many of my top players wants straight the double of they have or even more (and it's usually already around 3/4 mlns).. I wanted this to be an "Atalanta" style adventure, transfers wise (selling and buying important players without fear being their main thing), but it seems that, rather than a voluntary option, I will be forced to do meaningful choices in thise sense.. which sounds even more exciting, to be fair 🙂

p.s. had a crazy derby against Samp:

two red cards for them and another out of screen yellow for in the box simulation.. total, beautiful madness :DD

A really good session last night where a couple of back to back wins have made our league position look a lot more positive. Things are slowly starting to click and we are unbeaten in 6 now.

IMG_5925.jpeg

I loved this goal against Palestino too - They could not live with our pressing and intensity. Araya does brilliantly to chase down the opposition and then fires home a fantastic low shot from outside the box.

And winning the Derby Della Lanterns is a huge thing in that city
Brilliant

Just started my second season with Leeds United.

The first season was quite tough, the main issues coming from the financial side. Basically the club was bleeding money, so I had no chance to make any purchases to reinforce the team.

Nonetheless, throughout the season I slowly started to offload some players names like Cairns, Darlow, Stach but also Chambers, Nimecha and veterans like Piroe, Rodon as well as Iliev. I also bought Iannis Hagi and Dennis Man, trying to keep things afloat in the midfield and on the wing.

1.png

Despite a skeleton of a squad and thanks to a short season of only 19 fixtures, somehow I managed to finish 4th, meaning a cash injection of around 80 million but also a Champions League qualification! Unfortunately, in FA cup, I was knocked out in the first round by Newcastle at penalties, after failing to score any at all (1-0).

Nonetheless, for the first time in 2 years, the team started to make a profit, even though the rate of income won't be anywhere near enough to afford any big signing in the next 2 to 3 seasons.

2.png

Looking ahead, the schedule could have been a lot worse. The toughest fixtures are a back-to-back-to-back round of games of Ajax - Barcelona - Liverpool. Will also play Dortmund and Manchester City in consecutive fixtures.

3.png

Finally, the situation is not too bad. Indeed, the fans aren't too pleased about the play, as so many of last season's games were just 1-0 wins with parking the bus. On the other side the board is becoming quite confident in the direction of the club, and the players feel good about winning games even if they have to grind them. Trying to keep everyone happy isn't easy.

4.png

That said, the Champions League debut was better than could have imagined, with a 3-1 win at home against Atalanta. The board is entitled to feel confident, because you only need 3 wins and a draw to technically make it to the play-offs. That's one of the objectives this season, on top of quarter finals of the FA cup and a top 4 finish.

Absolutely mate! Derbies in Pes next gen may feel a bit unfair sometimes but they are also so alive, I love them.

Anyway, your Colo Colo adventure is shaping really nicely! Really appreciate how you started with only lower rated players, and with the precise idea of building with your team through youngsters and chilean only. Also really like your low shot above.. scoring clean out of the box goals feels so satisfying in 21.

Hopefully so mate! After your post, chairman straight up told me that's the objective ahaha.

Thanks a lot, Genova derby is beautiful indeed :)
