My folks used to have an XJS V12, I used to love that car, it drank more than me. Once came back from Blackpool at 4 in the morning usually took about an hour and a half, it did it in 34 mins...

My bro got one of these about 3 weeks ago but he wont let me have a go.

My dads got one, 2.7 diesel, unfortunately he's an idiot and backed it into a Transit van last week, did a bit of damage, so has to be repaired, hence we got the X-Type as a courtesy car, and I got the unexpected surprise of being able to drive it.

No chance he'll ever let me have a go of his XF though

My other half's uncle whose a real wide boy but nice enough with it, a while back once sent a bank he owed over six grand a check for £600 with a letter saying if they cashed his cheque they would accept it as full and final payment on the balance.
It worked they cashed the cheque and then chased the rest of the money to which he sent a copy of the letter, they threatened him with court but in the end just closed his account and that was that...
