eFootball (All Platforms)

After a lot of testing Top player is for me.
Rational humanlike playing. I win, I loose and many times the match ends as a draw.
Cpu has less handicap, you can win the ball as a defender and there is some space to dribble, wait, pass, try things.
The pace is slower, not frantic as it is in superstar/legend.
No godlike laser precise passing and dribbling, much less obvious script.
Higher difficulties are more challenging of course, but much less enjoyable and less life-like.

I also use dry/high grass and I start to get used to ball physics and really like it.

Coliseo de los Deportes (night, summer, fine) - my favourite stadium in the game, that looks okay graphically.

I remember how shocked, sad and disappointed I was with the graphics in FIFA 13 after the much more realistic looking FIFA 12... Massive contrast between these two.
Fifa 11, 12 had nice graphics, quite realistic in terms of color saturation and pallete. 13, 14,15 was bad. 16, 17, 18 was good though.
Since then all FIFA look fake apart for bad gameplay.
PES 2014 had amazing graphics.

Yeah you can play actual football on top player.

Btw there was a survey when i launched the game.

One thing I noticed in efootball is that shots THANKFULLY are not high corner rockets, even the powerfull ones. Many powerful shots are low and somewhat unpredictabe. Also I noticed that when a keeper deflects a powerful shot the ball flies behind the bar because it was so powerful and made this hands to bent backwards. That's very cool.
Also you can notice the arm and hand absorbing the momentum of the shot. Nice details.

yes there is and there are a few good pc mods from graphics to evo web patch here.

Thanks mate. So is that the newest version of efootball in terms of the latest up, graphics, gameplay etc? And these guys have created a patched version of this exact game that’s downloadable for PC? I like the new update of efootball and will buy a gaming pc to play this if so

Surprisingly Ive been enjoying a this game lately. There is some bullshittery in TP with scripting, but some games can be very entertaining.
Maybe its because I havent played PES in a while, but PES21 felt. a bit more on rails than this.
Its not the best, but again, if it had some offline modes I could invest some time with it.
Ive fist pumped a few times when scoring... which is a good sign

The base gameplay is (imo) the best the series has seen since the PS2 days. Unfortunately the lack of content, awful presentation & UI just put me off playing it. An Edit Mode wouldn't go a miss either.

Did anyone else complete the survey?
I completed the survey and more or less told them to take smart assist out

But you can turn off smart assist, no?
Yeah you can, what I was doing in the survey was telling them it’s a bad idea and it’s not how you play football games, I don’t want to play other people who are using smart assist, its would be a very unfair advantage

Put together this compilation of in-game clips to showcase some of the different mods available for eFootball on this forum. Nothing too crazy, just looking to show people that there's hope for this to be a truly great game as mods and Konami's own updates continue to roll out. I understand people who are tired of hearing about the "potential" of this game, but it is there in my opinion.

Passing is manual/pass assist 4, shooting is basic (accidentally tho, thought it was set to manual) except for last clip. My skills are far from spectacular, some goals are by me, some are by CPU. Video may look choppy in parts, due to my recording setup, but it runs smoothly in-game!

Thanks to all the respective creators of these mods. Didn't want to spam all their threads individually so figured I'd post in this thread. To everyone who'd like to replicate this, below are all the links.

EvoMod by @endo for team licensing/kits [if you are going to use Toriga's reshade, you should delete the graphic mods included with this mod/keep them otherwise. At least I did so to avoid any potential clashing.]

eBoard by @mandbeyn for the scoreboard (dark mode theme)

Reshade for gfx/visuals by @Toriga

TV add-ons (Reshade by @boby1178)

Hopefully this helps out in the immersion/UI department for some of you all. Enjoy and thanks again to all the modders! :APPLAUD:

Wait... Huh? Sorry mate, but is this sarcasm?

Because I genuinely believe this is the worst update since the inception of the PES and eFootball series. They've removed or ruined more features than they've added, and even the user interface and colors are almost identical to before. At least with eFootball 2022 and 2023, we got some minor updates like new icons and color changes.

As for the gameplay, let's start with passing. I'm a PA.3 player, and compared to eFootball 2023, it now feels overly assisted, often selecting the wrong player or applying incorrect power. Long-range shooting has become ridiculously overpowered, and what's worse is that long-range first-time shots are now even more broken. Everyone just spams shots with Haaland from all over the field, especially to near corner , because the goalkeepers consistently position themselves poorly, right in the middle for no reason.

Dribbling has taken a huge hit as well, mainly due to this new "Auto-Shielding" feature. For players who enjoy dribbling, it’s a massive handicap. Instead of allowing free movement, you're forced into pushing and fighting animations when all you want to do is run into open space. Why can't they implement it as they did in PES 2021?

Finesse dribbling is another major disappointment for me, for many reasons. First, there are fewer animations compared to eFootball 2023. Players now awkwardly turn forward just to perform the move, and you can't execute it in all directions like you could before, which is a huge step backward. If they're going to bring it back like it was in the older PES games (PES 3 to PES 2019), then why not make it as good as it was back then?

Overall, I believe the old mechanic, where you could tilt the left analog slightly, was far superior. Yes, it was more difficult and only a few players mastered it, which created a skill gap. But now, Konami seems intent on removing anything that creates that gap. The previous logic with the left analog made much more sense—they could have simply tweaked the angle, instead of overhauling everything.

In defense, I feel like the game punishes players for trying to defend itself. The "Match Up" mechanic doesn't seem to function properly anymore—my player often fails to react to either the ball or the opponent, especially when I'm using Match Up, or pressing X. I’ve had to resort to more unconventional methods to defend, but overall, those who rely on AI to do the defending for them tend to be more successful, which is unacceptable for a supposedly competitive eSports game.

With every update, Konami subtly increases AI assistance and control over player actions, but it’s done so gradually that it’s almost imperceptible—like the frog in boiling water that doesn’t react as the temperature rises. Now, they're trying to normalize these absurd mechanics as "SMART" assistants. If this had happened 5-10 years ago, there would have been outrage, with people practically tearing down Konami's building. Yet today, the sheep somehow "like the gameplay" for reasons that are beyond me.

Yes, I’ll admit there are a few new animations—particularly for fake shots and cut-behind moves that look nice, along with some improved grass textures and player faces—but overall, these changes are grossly insufficient. I don’t even want to get started on how they gutted the CO-OP mode/event, which was the only fun that I had with the game, but now feels like just another platform to push the "SMART" Assist. We all know why it’s there, but no one dares to say it out loud. A large portion of the people buying coins and packs are really bad players, those who consistently make poor decisions, and Konami is keeping them in the game by essentially playing it for them. Yes, it’s brazen and downright cynical, but that's why they label it "SMART"—because the ones who rely on it aren’t exactly "smart." But as usual, money trumps everything.
