eFootball (All Platforms)

Hey all.
Does anyone know if I can get a third artwork for Captain Tsubasa?
I have the first two complete, but I only have 4 parts for the third and all events are completed.

Is anybody playing this game with over 60fps and VRR?
I'm getting massive brightness flickering in cutscenes , tried 120hz and 144 (my display supports them).

Not VRR (i think), but with an amd 7900xtx gpu connected directly, via hdmi, to my viewsonic gaming projector px749-4k, i can get 1080p @ 120 or 240hz.
Works flawlessly, and looks so good, gameplay and replay. But recently got a sony soundbar ht-a7000, which is supposed to have an 8k60hz passthrough (which is says it does.. so it does), but for some reason when i pass the pc (7900xtx) to the soundbar input, and the soundbar output earc to the projector, I can only get 120hz, ie. no more 240hz. 120 is good enough, and having a decent sounding soundbar connected to my pc is awesome... just confused I cant get 240hz from the projector anymore????
 
How can I trigger a team mates run please? used to be L1 and flick the right stick in the desired direction.

As geeg said, no longer possible. They've simplified a lot of the controls for the mobile crowd, back when they had the dream of total cross-play console v mobile
 
Simplified? Now you can defend shoulders to shoulders + normal tackle + sliding tackle + pressing + second pressing.
Also you have to run with the analog. Is that possible on Mobile? I never tried that version, but i suppose it's a no.

What it's simplified is not the number of stuffs you can do on the pitch (same as EA do every years) but gameplay direction : easier to pass a defender, to aim for shooting and passing, less inertia, ball physics seems too linked with your controls.
But i don't hate that game as i made a big session when 2025 version was out, offline of course against the CPU and there's room for variety on the pitch. Of course i restored (like i could) the controls from older PES like circle for sliding tackle, square for pressing, etc.
R2-run is a game changer.

But there's not point analyzing that game as it's resume to two modes online for the long terms. It could be the best FG in the world but with the current state (all-line) of course i would test it, but one session then i close the shop until the next big update, all the 12 months remaining before it.

One director of a channel based on Video games was invited on a show, and they asked to the 3 people (journalist-commentator with aknowledge on Video games) what would scare them the most on the future of VG.
One said "no more physical games" something i totally agree, but the other, more connected to the industry said "Video Games crisis". There's too much games and too much lookalike, not only look but play-a-like, and all the versus games tend to become F2P with a very small content at the beginning.

Versus games producers who still makes their games complete like before will be soon tempted to F2P, like Destiny 2 did it probably influed by tons of F2P fps (on the top one of the most played games from those few years : Overwatch. Dead or Alive for the fighting side.
All games producing a certain amount of money seems to take this path.... EA doesn't need it as they got the cake and eat it as they sold + they made, such as Efootball, no more micro-transctions but we can call it macro transactions when people playing it pay price of the game *10 all the year.

hi mate, talking about inertia, there is one thing that annows me a lot is that when losing possession the player I controle just stays in his place and doesn't react to the second ball or the opponent holding the ball. is there something I can do about it ?

I don't know VRR is a tech that can be done on projectors.
I think the main issue with this game is it doesn't natively support over 60fps and also it doesn't support VRR since it can go at 0fps in some replays, the replay itself basically stops at screen that counts 0 fps for one or 2 seconds

Sorry mate i didn't played enough to have or notice some of those weird stuffs happening. I play only one or two session when a new version cames out, and time to time on the year vs the CPU.
Inertia as we talk often on various sports VG forums doesn't mean that no one move and you got to move everything by yourself. It's more linked to the core engine of how will move, physically, the players.

The situation you describe seems to be something they forget to program, like the command still valid when you switch player on an certain outcomes.
It could be quickly resolved by a patch. Before there was L1+R2 since PES on PS2 which was the way to move your player position when he's receiving the ball, it worked and was a must have during all PES games until the last PS4 to avoid many CPU auto-controls when the AI didn't made the best choice, i don't think they removed it but i'm perhaps wrong.

Check on the list special control (without the ball) how "Super Cancel" is still there. Otherwhise i didn't get exactly what you asked, hard to explain a weird situation sometimes even with vids showing it.
 
I play eFootball (Steam version), and have two monitors, I noticed that Full Screen mode never works, I made sure I selected that from the Settings.exe, but the game plays on Windowed mode regardless, and the title of the Window App (eFootball) appears on the 2nd screen! I can move the Window just like any Windowed Mode app, so Full Screen mode is not working at all, and I cannot take benefits of that. Any idea?

When could we look forward to the introduction of "Strike Arena" as a new game mode on eFootball (in the new year maybe)? I wouldn't mind it as paid DLC, although talks of any game modes have gone relatively quiet, which I'm not crying out for.

eFootball still F2P for me is the footy I am enjoy the most. I wouldn't say it is missing something to conquer my deepest appreciation which the franchise may have done from past glory, but I seem to be inching closer to the metaphorical footy-pie for a most delicious treat. Shall I grab the serviette? :P
 
It's far from being the best football game made by those 10 years from Konami i enjoy the most, but i found it totally acceptable, mostly balanced but you need to be much more dynamic in defense : you can't play it like a PES Ps4 type... At least in defense. But i still found the game not that hard to learn how and when to apply for example "pushing with shoulders" > if the player is tall or doing a tackle, and pressing is still there.

At least, logic, like in UFL, isn't "e-sported" because they want to have the whole control of what they do, even if it fucks up animations, logic, and all physics related.

First, i changed the controls to fits with older PES then i played some games against the CPU max level and got fun to play. I don't have the 3one match more on any post Ps2 games to be honest...

If there was an edit mode first then an ML, i may give that game his chance after 5 years, even if i don't think it would happen. Now, it they're doing it or not, i don't really care : i started to get some excpectation regarding offline mode 3 years after the launch, now i prefers just read about some new if there's a surprising or a new WTFjapanese stuff in more.

Also, if there's an ML... I want something with a serious career atmosphere, but it wouldn't fit with the whole happy-for-nothing-mobile HUD and i can say micro O.S. unfortunately.
But i don't want neither a dead ambiant career like in some versions from the past or on others games. Something like a simple ML from a J-League PS2 game would suits me totally.

I know it's a long text but read or feel the tone. It's a "Even if" post, meaning talking about the "acceptability" of that game. Nothing more, zero hope on my post.
Well... It was supposed to be with league / cup / new teams, on paid DLC but it won't. We got it. No need to push the repeat button.

Free pack, I finally got one of the "premium" players. Don't know the percentage stats, but it is possible (I only use free packs and currency I've earned in game)
 
Just watched a TTB video there after he had been away for a while.

36 and now 2 divorces deep, living in the USA. Good lord. Don't envy the man!

For clarity, he outright said it in his latest video, so ain't having a go.

As for eFootball? Playable, even excellent when in the mood. I'm rarely in the mood.

Nothing to do, and is not the reserve of eFootball. After initial welcoming of what EAFC25 had to offer re: Career Mode, my interst in that fell off a cliff too.

I simply don't care enough about either of the offerings now.

If they released a PES5 or PES6 remaster-y thing on PSN or whatever, with nothing but fake names everywhere but was fully editable, I would likely be all over it; seeing what the latest updates were on the editing front and whatnot, but otherwise being in some 'Sim-cade' bliss with the gameplay on offer.

Don't even get me started on UFL.

I think I hate that I love/loved football games, because if I never had any investment this utterly tragic state of affairs I would be ignorant to it.
