eFootball (All Platforms)

Crossplay with 3 years delay is actually sad. But glad it's here now.
Everything else is more or less QOL improvements.

Next Big mega update for efootball 26 Will be control support for mobile devices
 
Nothing has changed since long time ago, when I was played in eCardBall.
The same cheating stuff with script, that obviously "low down" your own skill: when you react earlier and have a better position on the field during moment - script just doing it's work and "Voila" - you are lost at the moment or with weird rebounds ball is going to rival with "hi-level card" of soccer player.

P.S. Still sadly that famous good representative soccer game (Pro Evolution Soccer) by KONAMI is degraded (Lame Degradation Soccer) into this eCardBall.

All these changes are only visual, it's still the same eScriptball. Scripted passing (even on so-called "manual"), scripted shooting and scripted goalkeeping. The beginnings of eFootball were promising, gameplay was heading towards better, but we're back to boring gameplay ala eFootball 2021, only even more limited. I'm painfully bored with this game, the lack of modes only highlights the problems of the gameplay itself, which is shallow.

I played a couple of games today, i had 4 games off crossplay. It dosent say if i met Xbox or pc users. But two of the games was unplayable because of lag.
But you can chose to disable the crossplay option.
The gameplay itselfs seems better. Not superautomated..
 
Sincerely I'm more impressed by how this dumpster thread is still alive after so much back and forth, than Dumbo Bhatti's being fired (leaving with some eF coins).
Either way, I still remember the early days when everybody was excited about that splendid reveal trailer; yes of course, that one on rails with the "sharp kick" in it...

They have a plan, but they are very far behind their plan, like offline mode or now they just added crossplay (after five years) and of course they are very much postponing the dates. Not to mention their promise that the game will have high quality graphics and still me wait.

There's too much old PES vibe and I'm just bored with it. I wanted something new from new engine, but it's very similar at the end. The worst part of it it's shooting. Too scripted and on rails. There's no ball physics, just few animations of shooting. If I try shoots from far, I already know, that's GK will save it, it will be crossbar or post or ball will nearly miss the goal. Where are some original on-pitch events? Shooting is just not fun in this game, when results are always the same. You can complain about EA FC, but there are unique goal-scoring situations.
 
When the keeper is a plot and the ball physics following no rules, that's a bit normal than shots, actions, or goals variations seems and are all different.
EA FC got variety but for no logic behind : it doesn't follow any physical rules or football at all.

Variety of what you can do on the pitch yes, but not for good reasons like Fifa vs ISS Pro Evo on PS1, a game where there wasn't practically any feints except ones who were relevant for gameplay.
Now i'm not a fan of Efootball but with -1 speed the game is more or less okay to me.

I should rectify. In one hand, indeed they should just cancel the whole mobile game, but also unplug this entire live service lootbox microtransaction riddled fest called eFootball from its existence. Nobody will miss it, not even their GenZ fanbase. eFootball shouldn't exist in the first place, coz' It's already in the hall of shame regarding football gaming projects. Comparing with the entire ISS/Pro Evolution/PES decades, this is just an online mtx focused money milking machine experience without any dna regarding its past... Can't belive that the word "focused" should be utilized or could be assigned to this pay2win fictional card based travesty...
 
I'm curious how Konami is doing v EA in the mobile game marketspace. Google store will tell you eFootball has 100M+ downloads, while FC Mobile has 500M+. But I don't believe this stat to be fully accurate. We also have Konami's 800M downloads claim, but this is also including PC & consoles.

If the 100M to 200M is correct, then surely that means eFootball mobile is less than 25% of the eFootball downloads. Anyone know some proper data on how Konami is doing v competitors in the mobile space? It is the reason the game is what it is after all

I don't think it matters too much how they do vs the competition.
They care about profit, I bet they make a lot of money out of microtransactions and judging by the looks of their game over the last 4 years, they're not even investing too much in development.
They just add some fancy cards in their casino and update the rosters after transfer market windows, and that's it.
But gameplay-wise it did not evolve much since the eTurd it was on day 1. Four years it's a lot of time if you care about improving a game, which they obviously don't.

For the mobile game it is the complete opposite (I assume you were talking about the console/PC game). From 2017, when the mobile game first launched), to 2021, the game languished a lot. There was no new content at all in those 4 years, only features removed and new card designs. The gameplay was more or less the same in those years. But since 2022 (or 2023?) the game has changed so much, Konami has added a ton of new content and they continue to add more content. They added more content just in 2024 to the game than they did in the entire time period of 2017-2021. Not just new content, servers were horrible pretty much all the time, while now lag in the mobile version of the game is more or less gone for good.

Maybe they haven't improved the console/PC games since it launched. But the mobile game has gotten a lot of investment. And I think it has paid off, its way more popular than before.
 
Well, this version 4.4.0 is a real step forward in terms of gameplay. The ball is heavier, which makes shooting more realistic and makes passing more difficult to control. I think it's much better and more realistic.

But that's just a change in the slower/faster thing, has anything changed in terms of shot variety? Not really.
 
Who has tried a different button for shooting as in Circle for EA in eFootball or vice-versa? That might change your shot variety. Or what about Manual shooting versus Basic?
 
Jeez... I think it's been months since the last time I've posted anything here, good to see everyone's still around. How's eFootball going? I'll admit that between work and other responsibilities in life I just sort of stopped caring about it, my last time caring was when I heard a league mode was coming, genuinely excited me then, but after downloading the update, which is always huge on PS4, I couldn't find a way to play it cooperatively with my dad...

Is ML out? Or at least a proper league/cup mode I can play cooperatively?
