So it's gone from talking generally about online play, to now talking about private friendly matches arranged with people you know.
I somewhat agree on that point - private games with people you know try to play decent football are about the only tolerable way to play the game. Plenty of the gameplay problems still persist, too many for me, but it probably is the best way to play the game.
What I don't really understand though is you said - "the bonuses that come for online with the preorder is a good deal for the 28 euros that i payed" - If you're advocating for playing private friendly matches and want realistic football, why would this be necessary or a good deal?... Especially if passing error, first touch error, shooting error and so on are of importance to you as you seem to suggest, why on earth would you choose to play the mode where there's the least of this in the entire game as the players are rated the highest? Adding more money for extra bonuses for even higher rated players would make this even more extreme...
If it's MyClub you would play, then how is buying the same game with the same gameplay again (Konami admit this) to wipe your team worth it?... Even with your "bonuses" you will end up with a worse lineup than you have right now in PES 2020. As you're using fantasy teams, why do the updated rosters and kits of the "Season Update" even matter?
Also if you're saying this stuff about the bonuses for MyClub, I can't see why this would be the mode you would want to arrange matches to play with other people who play "proper football" as a simulation in PA0 or PA1. Surely real teams without such ridiculously highly rated players would be better for this purpose due to the slower pace, increased error, and the fact they're actually a real life football team. Playing it against people you know isn't ideal either because one player could have paid/grinded more and have a significantly stronger team, surely you'd want a private match to be fair. If playing with custom squads online in a friendly is what you want, you can load a Master League team in a friendly lobby; there you can each choose whatever players you want without paying real money for them.
If you play MyClub to go up against random people online, most of my complaints on the previous page and just the general toxicity/cheesiness of online gaming apply and make it not appealing whatsoever. Plus the fact that if an opponent spends/grinds a lot more/less than you, you end up in an unbalanced, unfair match. Maybe you end up winning because you paid for the "bonuses" and they didn't. Is this where we're at, where paying to win more matches is regarded as good value for money - that's all the "bonuses" contribute to by giving you higher rated players and ingame currency.
Okay, you enjoy PES 2020 and see positives in it which is fine, of course I'm not going to say you're wrong to enjoy it. What I really don't get is how 28€ is a good deal considering all of the above.
The only situations I can think of where it may be worth it are if you don't own 2020, you're an offline player on Xbox, or want the updated teams for Online Divisions. For MyClub or PC/PS offline players it seems to make no sense to me as you can either update the teams with mods/OFs or you don't use real teams anyway, so why pay for an update.
Actually i never play friendlies or arranged matches with people i know or anything like that. What i said is that if some people from here maybe would want to play some PvP matches between them, because i know that everyone probably hates myClub,so a solution would be to create rooms and play some friendlies or mini tournaments between them to enjoy some PvP if they're so fed up from playing the AI offline.
Personally when i play online i only play myClub or Divisions.I don't play any arranged -or not- friendlies cause there's no points to play for considering rating gain/loss or any player progression considering levels. When i play i want a win or a loss to mean something in terms of points, even if it's a stupid rating counter. Not that i'm too fussed about what rating i will reach, but still it gives something to play for, like a goal or an objective to achieve. For example i've never reached 1000 rating yet in these 2 years that i'm playing online, the highest i've reached is 980 and then i drop to around 900,so it's something to play for even if it's just a dumb Champion black badge lol. When i want to play something different for a change to relax more and to be less try hard, then i just play some offline exhibition matches on Superstar and i enjoy them also most of the time.Maybe on 21 i'll even start a ML at some point,i'll see how it goes.
Also i always play on PA1 with the filter on,so i only play against people on PA1 and the filter works fine.I can't stand PA3 gameplay as it changes the whole feeling of the match. That's why i only play Ranked matches or Divisions where you can put the filter.I avoid playing other tournaments,Matchday and co-op because you can't set the passing filter there and co-op especially is a guaranteed lagfest most of the times because if even one of the users have a shitty internet then it affects everyone and becomes unplayable.
These bellends that use these shitty exploit formations that you talked about in your previous post, they always play on PA3.So i can avoid playing against them.I've played 600 matches in 19 and 400 in 20 and i haven't played against them yet with PA1 filter on.In general from what i've seen until now i think that people who choose to play online with PA1 are more interested in trying to play some actual orthological football instead of always trying to exploit things. It's not always the case and there are exceptions of course, but surely most of the exploiting-win by any means- ones are playing on PA3.
Now about the team whiping from 20 and why would i want to start all over again...well i actually like the fact that i'll have to build a new team again with different players and level them up.It's something refreshing and even if it's supposed to be the same game i'm sure there will still be some changes to some degree with the gameplay.I just hope they will be for the better for my taste at least. Also there will be Live Updates from Konami only for 21 from now on and not for 20.So any player rating changes, players added/removed,updated formations for managers, players form according to how good or bad they played in real life etc,all these things will be present only in 21.I like having a bunch of different players and every week rotate the team according to their form.Even things like transfers and new kits are important because as i said i also play with real teams in Divisions or in offline matches and i want everything to be as official and realistic as possible.
So i bought it for all these reasons and for someone who plays online it's a good enough deal for 28 euros with all the bonuses that it gives you given the fact that you'll spend a whole year with it.I picked the Arsenal edition,so i'll have Bergkamp who i always liked as a player in real life also and didn't have the chance to play with him in the game in the past,i'll have 18 Arsenal players to keep and use them for my squad, the manager, other things like some contracts and some free packs every week and also 3.000 coins which will last me for the whole season if i use them wisely and not spend them left and right. There is also a Team Strength filter so it's not as pay to win..at least if you compare it to Fifa which doesn't have one.You can play with 3 star teams for example and play only against people with such similar strength teams. There are many people who play like that for an even more humanlike and realistic gameplay without superstar players and they don't care for opening packs and spending.
Anyway..as i said in my previous post, there are only two football games to choose from.So if you want to play, you must choose and play even with the bullshit that comes with it.This game of course is nowhere near great and i agree that in the era that we live with the technology that developers seem to have nowadays that we should expect much more from both games. And not only in gameplay but in all departments.myClub is piss poor content wise and lacking of ideas and things to do.But gameplay is the most important and i still prefer it to the competitor even if it's online mode is much more rich in content. At least this game here reminds of football to some point when you play and there are things that i like which i talked about in the previous posts. The competitor's gameplay is a circus joke especially online with polo scores and in 21 it's probably gonna be even more ridiculous from the recent FUT videos that we have seen with scores like 6-5 in every match. When i see this shit i say thank god that at least there is also PES to be able to choose and play even with it's problems.Imagine if EA's ''football'' was the one and only option..lol
Although i think that both games have only higher to look up from this point and on.Soon we'll have consoles which are 10 times stronger and faster than the weak ass outdated shit that we have now.So at some point we'll have to start seeing some evolution right..?I can't imagine that we'll spend another 7-8 years with the exact same outdated limited animations and collisions and poor foot planting and clipping and dumb restricted AI and shit.Maybe it's true than many of these issues exist because the current consoles just can't handle so complicated calculations and different outcomes due to low power. But that's another topic and my post is already too big so i won't get into that.
I also hope that we'll see some real progress with PES 22 and so on and the thing that gives me hope also is that despite that this thing that everyone thinks that they only care to please the arcady loving online crowd etc..they showed in 20 in my opinion that they still care about their game to actually feel like football in many departments and they haven't gone the cartoony circus way still, which they could easily do if they just wanted to seduce and win the competitor's followers.I mean..they introduced more natural rhythm when they could easily do it 100 mph, they brought more error when they know that there are houndreds of thousands of crybabies out there who would hate the fact that their passes are not always perfect etc..I just hope that they'll keep this mindset in the future also for the game to look and feel natural in these departments. At least i have more faith in them to do this than i have in EA..
