Thanks for getting back to me. Unblocking did not do the trick, but I got it working going from 23.16 to 23.17 of FMT. Pretty new to FIFA modding, so sorry if this should have been an obvious solution.

Great mod superb realism but the only thing I'm experiencing is too many fouls and yellow cards.. the smallest touches or pushes from players are deemed a foul.
I've also put the referee strictness to "very lenient" and still the same result.
Anyone know how to fix this or is this something that can be adjusted?
everyone sees it differently, I like many fouls, a much more realistic experience, obviously in my opinion, eventually you can completely disable hand fouls.

Of course, don't get me wrong I like the fouls when they should be and 60% of the time they are correctly called. But it seems that even sliding tackles when you clearly get the first touch on the ball and do not hit the opponent but 1-2 seconds later whilst you are sliding the opponent get hit from that tackle and then it will be deemed a foul. Normally, without the mod the referee doesn't call the foul and the play carrys on.
There's also been multiple instances in the box even using the jockey only with a 84+ defender and not pressing the tackle button he is able to touch the ball away but then the defender's foot may hit the opponent's foot with the slightest of touch but doesn't go to ground and a penalty will be given. I think these kind of fouls are sometimes making the experience a bit frustrating since the opponents team now have a cheap and easy way of getting penalties.
Unfortunately, this didn't do it for me
I get a similar error when trying to launch with v3a2. any ideas for a solution anyone?

Did you try the newest version of FMT? That is what seemingly fixed my problem.Unfortunately, this didn't do it for me

hey guys,
i wanna dive into the 23 mod game. fifa is downloaded in steam. FMT and mod files too. where do i find instructions to set it all up?

I haven't tried the Steam version but presumably it works the same and is combining with the EA app? FMT should find Fifa23 from the registry (?)
1. Extract FMT into a folder somewhere (I go with D:\Games\FifaModding and D:\Games\Fifa23)
2. Presumably using the EA App now? You need to "Manage" Fifa23 in there and put -dataPath ModData in the properties like so:
3. Run FMT, select Fifa23 and select (Load game let's play with mods)
4. It will now create the SDK, takes a while so go have a coffee (not tea it tastes like piss)
5. When you return from your nice coffee not your disgusting tea you should be sat at the screen where you add mods by clicking import, add some mods.
6. Then click "Launch Game", it will create the mod folder and then launch the EA App and you just play Fifa23 as normal now through the EA App.

Yes for me it happened last night, when I ran Origin it showed a pop up saying you have to install and use EA App.

hm... i get an error.

the manage button only pops out one option. That’s to buy the premium whatever version of the game.
Edit: so, I’m on triples and set the first monitor to mirror to my 4k tv. Thats working. Only the main monitor 1 is 1440 so apparently I can’t full screen mirror to tv. Is there a solution for that?

Ahh probably because I have the EA Play version, explains why Paul's instructions are different:

Got that first error fixed with using FMT 23.17.
now I need to make sure the mod path can be set via steam launch options. EAapp is advising to manage in steam.

I have noticed lately that my career mode seemingly has some issues;
- During games I get a lot of commentary mentions of injuries, but I never have to do any substitutions.
- My career mode mail often mentions players that have to be replaced for the next game(s), either from injuries or suspensions, but when I go to start the game the players mentioned can still start the game.
I remember at the start of the career I had to sub out players in such situations, so it some point this was working. I have since then added FIFER's realism mode and Endo's graphics mod, so I am thinking it may be caused by some combination of mods I am using. Anyone know what the reason may be? My current mods, and order in FMT, is as follows:

I'm about to pay for the full game after an XBOX Game Pass trial that I got with my new laptop gave me 3 months of EA Play.
Is it better if I just ignore the EA Play altogether, just log into the EA App and buy the game there? I don't know what weird connections I'll have with the EA Play trial that I'm never going to pay for.
And is there any way to buy FIFA that works better for Paul's mod?

That's not what I was asking, what I meant was whether the launcher for the game, be it Steam or the EA App could possibly cause issues with the modding tool.Every FIFA is the same no version specific to Paul's mod

What happens if you launch Steam, launch EA App, then on EA app click "Play"? You've already set -dataPath ModData into the EA App properties for Fifa23?

As I said before, there is no option in the EAapp. When I click the 3 dots it says „manage in steam“. See pics above.
what I did though, imstarted fifa in steam and it took me to download the EAapp where the steam account got linked to my ea account. That part is done.
only option I see now is adding that launch command in steam. 🤷♂️ been playing only the default game since I own it.
