LOL wenger is crying now and seems to suggest he may go to real madrid because of us fans genuine concern over our club :LMAO:

He goes on saying how the18 point gap between us and united doesnt show teh true quality of our side :LOL: and how we did well to reach teh semi's on two cups.

tbh. the reason why we was in the semi's in the fa cup and europe is because we was up againts "easy" opponents compared to united and co.

Cardiff, Hull villarial and roma are good but not on the same wavelength as united, chelsea, liverpool etc

When we was up against the big clubs, the difference in the quality of the teams was almost like night and day and THATS what is worrying alot of arsenal fans.

the fact that we let chelsea score 4 in our own ground (hasnt been done in over 30 years) or the fact that united blew us off the park on our own ground again in europe without breaking a sweat or the kind of sloppy goals we concede that even a sunday league team can defend better.

things like closing down a player? staying in position? man marking a player from a set piece? heading the ball when it comes near you? clearing the fucking ball instead of playing one touch football inside our own box?

Things like that makes you wonder what the fuck wenger is doing. Ok so we have no money to spend so why get rid of flamini and gilberto so easily and replace them with silvesta?

why loan out senderos knowing we are thin with defenders at the back?

Why play diaby upfront all the time? why is eboue playing right wing when his a fucking wing back?

decisons like that are what piss us off about wenger, not the fact that we have gone 4 seasons without a trophy. Its the fact that because of the examples i have noted plus more, this is the reason why we are miles behind the likes of the top 3 sides sitting above us this evening.

Say what you want but wenger needs to get his fucking act together or he might as well go now if he cant accept his fault for us being so shit compared to the top 3 sides.
 
I agree and the fact that he keep saying if he bought big players, players like diaby, song and other youngster wont progressing as fast as they are right now... wich is non sense cause Arsenal football club is a club , not a reserve or an academy...you get players to succeed and bring trophy , you dont get player so they can improve and in the future become stronger players... Wenger is kind of crazy in his head at the moment.

There is ABSOLUTLY no way of winning trophies with the squad we have right now. we need something strong at the back and a PURE goal scorer, why not bring gattuso at the DMF position that is missing or a diarrah from real as lass seem to have taken his place.

Striker, we need a STAR striker like zlatan, Villa, yea it sound rubbish or cliche, but thats what we need.

the team we have is a bunch of Quality youngster that cant take responsability by themself for the team success,
 
plus, what experience player is there to teach these youngsters new tips and tricks?

Henry had Dennis Bergkamp to look up to and even fabregas had viera and pires to look up to
 
I think Cannavaro would've been a great signing for you lot. Experience and has incredible anticipation. Great for a 1 year deal (before the WC).
 
cannavaro as sign with Juve and I doubt he would like to play with youngster... at a minimum wage since arsenal are not known for giving player big wages...

For a pure striker I'd buy Edin Dzeko from wolfburg he havin an incredible season would be a great addiction.

His best days are behind him. Seeing him in the centre of defence against Barca and Liverpool was funny.
 
Well, in a kind of ironic way i must have to reply to that, so was Arsenal against Manchester in the CL and Chelsea in the PL, funny yet i didn't find it funny at all. For my own charisma for Arsenal, i decided to stop viewing the match at 2-0.. that was more then enough.
Now into the team, Wenger will stay and he should go answer those questions that som1 quoted in the last page. I would really like to see what he as to say about them.
About the team itself, i have been saying this since last season that Arsenal are becoming an Academy rather then a team to win titles, making a 2/3 year project is one thing but just buying kids ain't going to cut it for gunner fans. That and using useles players, in my eyes Diaby, eboue silvestre shouldnt even be considered options for arsenal, for a mid table team they sure are nice subs, but arsenal must take this seriously and to another level, they must think like they did a couple of years ago and buy players that are going to play well NOW not 4 years later...
Now that i took this out of my mind, any targets yet for Arsenal?
 
arsenal were dominating teams just last season, even the big teams. they just lost flamini and hleb and a little confidence, all you need is a good defensive mid and maybe a center back and maybe a striker although when everyones fit and playing well you dont even need those. people are quick to criticize, its not that bad.

I want Tuncay, he would be the best to bridge the way from midfield
to Adebayor without long passes. I'm so looking forward to the summer
and which signings we do.

I hear ya! That guy is scoring goals for fun... Lots of it. Him and Grafite as well.

I doubt Wenger is considering leaving Arsenal now. If he ever does, I'd say go to Madrid NOW and see how long he lasts there. He must stop whining and leave his ego aside and admit he got it all wrong. The whole planning for this season went wrong and he's the one to blame.

To say the gap between Arsenal and the top 3 was small is foolish. At least AW conceded what made the difference was defense. Maybe he will change his mind and spend on defenders and DMFs?

I'd stick with Van Bommel for DMF role. Or Marcos Senna maybe. Dont know, but something must be done on that front.

It's obvious Arsenal have talent but that does not mean trophies or championships.
No one questions Arsenals football, it's a joy to behold, but are you happy to finish nearly 20Pt's behind and with no silverware season in and season out.
For all their talents Arsenal are still lacking and even they don't have the ability to carry players who stroll around showing little or no effort.

TBH I think it's a good thing Wenger is getting stick, hopefully he will take action against those players, they annoy the hell out of me and I'm a Wrexham fan :D...
 
That's all fair enough. No one would suggest Wenger hasn't made mistakes, but what that Martin Samuel article sums up (with greater clarity and panache that what I'm about to attempt) is how Arsenal fans need to wake up and read the rather obvious subtext between the lines.

We're broke. Not in Woolworths terms, but our new stadium has put us in the buying power bracket of clubs like Everton and Villa rather than Liverpool and Chelsea, for the next few seasons at least.

The club CANNOT come out and confirm this as they need the money from the executive boxes, club level, season ticket holders etc etc. If they were honest, came out and said, "Listen chaps, the footy's going to be mediocre for the next three or so years but after that we're golden," the majority of box holders would say, "OK, I'll renew mine in 2011 then." Maybe they wouldn't but the club cannot afford to take that risk, hence all the, "Wenger has all the money he wants," quotes coming from the PR dept. Wenger plainly doesn't have all the money he needs, hence why we had to reach down the back of the sofa to scratch together £12m for Arshavin.

The prevailing attitude amongst fans seems to be that Arsenal 'should be up there' challenging for the league because we have been there in our recent past. In reality, no one has the right to be a Premier league contender and in this respect Wenger is a victim of his own success. Yes it is limp that we were out of the title race by November, but you have to look at who we finished behind in the end; Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea. Not much shame in that. When you factor in that this is arguably the strongest premier league since its inception, it's even more credible.

We are unquestionably the poor relation of the 'Big 4' at the moment, but nothing in football is permanent. It's an awkward period for the club but other than selling out to the obese Uzbek, we don't really have much choice. The real question is; who do you want to aid Arsenal ride out the current storm? Who is going to be able to pluck some winners out on a modest budget? I know who I'd want in charge.

As has been said on a lot of blogs and articles, Wenger is far from faultless in this, but some of the criticism (leaving aside name calling and general bleating) goes beyond logic and into the realms of fantasy.

The manager and the board are indeed in a difficult position, yet they must not show how shaken they might be to avoid spreading panic to fans and investors.

But not even this dire scenario doesn't make Wenger exempt of his flaws this season. I'm still a fan backing AW, but he has to get his act together and admit his flaws and learn from them. He's not a child anymore. He's intelligent enough to know how the masses react to a 5 season drought. What did he expect?

This whole Real Madrid thing is nonsense. If he thinks about going there, he'd better think again. Not too long ago Capello won La Liga with them and still got the sack the following season anyway.

Arsenal may need Wenger, but he also needs a place like Arsenal where he's offered stability.... 5 year plans in Madrid? Think again!

I really don't think we are far away from the other 3 teams - if we got an experienced defender and def mid and get rid of adebayor to fund these, then I think we will be fine. If we can afford another decent striker then all well and good :DD
 
The way I see it, you guys have just been very unlucky. Thats all.
Wenger doesnt spend as much as the top teams yet he still manages to make his team perform at such a top level. To be honest, I'm actually a bit scared to think what will happen if Wenger is still around once you've paid off the cost of the stadium.
 
Na Wengers made it clear that he just wants to see out his current deal. He'll get them financially sorted with a good crop of players and call it a day their.
 
He's not mobile enough to work in Arsenal's system though. I think Arsenal should get Mexes from Roma and then look for their DM. Otherwise another 2-3 squad buys and their sorted.

Harsh, IMO, not been up to his usual high standard of seasons before but still a potent goal scorer. A much better finisher than Adebayor as well.

Still Bayern's top scorer and a good finisher. 45 goals in 2 seasons in the league only is quite impressive. He doesn't rely on pace to be effective.

I'd say he would go from between £7-10m.
 
guys... stop arguin about players and think with common sense, You really think if Arsenal would place a bid for Luka Toni, he will join Arsenal...LOLL thats like saying Wayne rooney will join arsenal.

He made it clear that if he leave bayern he will go back to fiorentina or another italian team.


lets get it together, we wont be able to attract experience players with our current situation, all we can attract is finish dudes like silvestres,
or buy fairly aged rising players, I still SAY BUY EDIN DZEKO!
