another good result :))

I am reading Dennis Bergkamps book at the moment and it is very good. So nice to hear about his relationship with the players at Arsenal.

I never knew he got on with Wrighty so well off of the pitch as well. Also Dennis being a practical joker etc with Wrighty.

Only half way through at the moment, but I am really enjoying it.

Its more of a big long interview with Dennis and then mini interviews with the people that he worked with throughout his career.

Interesting to hear his take on his time at Inter and moving to Arsenal. Also has Ajax, Netherlands etc etc

It is a great insight.
 
Brilliant stuff! We are slowly showing we can win games in an ugly way too. With 20 minutes to go we endured their attacks, shut up shop and soaked up the pressure. Great stuff from our back 4, although Gibbs switched off a few times in the 1st half. And it was great to have Kos back playing so well.

Another item from our 2013-14 bucket list is crossed: shut up the critics who said "let's see if Arsenal will still be leaders by Xmas".

Now, next step is keep up the good form, maybe sign a backup striker in Jan, and then show Wayne Rooney how many points we will be ahead of United by March :D
 
It's great to be top, but Liverpool were top at Xmas and they are 5th now!

It can all change in a heartbeat, a couple of draws could even see us drop a few places.

We have a run of games now where we have to pick up maximum points.

The next two months we need to somehow get a cushion of at least 6points because in March I think we play Spurs and Chelsea away straight after one another and then straight after that we have Man City at home. Before those 3 games we also have Bayern Away :SHOCK:

At the beginning of Feb we also have Liverpool and United.

Unless we build up some sort of Space between us and the rest it is going to be ridiculous!

What a crazy season though :-D

I still have to read that book about Bergkamp. It got Racing reviews.
Very good win against Newcastle. This is the sort of match Atsenal would have lost in the past.

Somewhat alarming: Chelsea's superb first half against Liverpool. That is the best i'Ve seen this season...but it only lastend one half.
 
think people is a little harsh on him. nobody on earth could guarantee that bendtner would easily have done what he was supposed to do even if jenk did a quick throw-in. he would probably lose the ball right after that and newcastle would get another last chance as well.

That`s my same thought, Bendtner needed to score for Bendtner ,not for Arsenal. Jenko had to stick to plan...Jenko has gotten more wrong then right decision in the past. Still it funny ...open goal n Jenko said no to an assist :)

I don't think we're harsh on Jenkinson here in this situation. I laughed because Jenkinson didn't trust Bendtner even in an open goal situation, poor him...haha

But to be fair, imo we laugh it off because we won in the end.
 
Hahaha I totally missed that situation in the gif. That's some hilarious shit right there. Not sure Bendtner really wanted the ball though..he might just be striking a pose for all his fans in the stands to take pictures of this champion amongst men.

Ok, we HAVE to beat the Spurs tomorrow, it's our duty to keep them at their spot both in the league and the cup. Luckily, the schedule coincides with the League, so we can line up our best men and still let them rest for a week until the league is back. Now, if we lose, that's going to be a bummer for them. Morale always goes down when we lose against the big ones. And tough matches are ahead.
 
both manchester teams and atletico madrid do. sherwood started his career at spurs very well imo (he's been playing 4-4-2 ever since he got the job). it was no satisfying but it's still just a single game yet.
