Everyone likes to attack Ozil regardless what he does...he doesn`t have the headless chicken energy effect. Ospina, Gabriel,Bellerin and Coq look very promising this 'no fear factor' is great!

They might be right though, I think the letter "j" is pronnounced as "i" in Croatia/Serbia/Slavic countries.
 
Spoke to a co-worker, a Mutd supporter, very excited for FACup match on Monday. He was singing Wenger's praises I was getting upset (silently) lol .I couldn't get past his intellectual jabs. He think Wenger has made a decree w/ the board to be 'unsackable' , his ability to remove any sentiment w/ any player is vital. He sells them w/ only a false notion that the player's value is in name and clubs are stuck w/ a formal shadow. I guess it's like changing their expiration date .

He think Mou is smart and today wants to follow in Wenger's step by providing more financial stability. He can make the club profitable and successful on/ off the pitch. He will bring in players and sell them today and tomorrow expand Chelsea philosophy.At this point I'm looking for away to get this person to stop harassing me lol .I read Sagna wasn't offered enough , although he's on £150k a wk and hardly playing is good business for him. I have a sneaky suspicion Wenger has coached these ex-players of his . He isn't sad when a player leaves as he wants us to believe. He's a money making machine that players always have good words after leaving (due to their pay hike) I think we better accept it in heart he's unsackable!

If Abramovich ever bails or somehow cuts his investments there, Mourinho would be out the door before it happened. Worrying about financial stability is never going to be on that man's agenda. All he cares about is working with the players who're in their prime and having a large budget to spend. That is the sort of manager who will always go to the highest bidder and will be a commodity manager as long as he can bring the results. I cannot see much in the way of loyalty.

Like HIM or not, but Mourinho is a coach who can work where ever he wants to. Why to back to Chelsea. For the money? I don't think so.
 
I think it was pretty obvious that he wanted to suceed Ferguson (should have said Moyes, not LVG), but, yea, I doubt his personal wage is a big priority for him these days. The ability of the club to help him win will far outweigh that consideration.
 
Yeah that's the point, both you Gerd and Godo said things I think too: a) Mourinho can actually choose where he will go, he won't be short of suitors; b) His choices aren't necessarily the clubs who pay him more, but the clubs who offer a big budget for him to work with, therefore increasing his chances of success.

The idea of not winning stuff terrifies Mourinho, so now that he's reached these heights in his career, we only see him managing the wealthiest clubs in the world. I don't think we will see him embracing a project that is a big sporting challenge where he will have to build up from the ground and upset the odds somehow.

As for United, I do remember him hinting at succeeding Ferguson. Maybe it was best for him that he didn't. A big pressure even for Mourinho.
 
I agree with that post rentboy.

I would like to see those big manager with litle clubs and lesser players (Mourinho - Porto is not a good example, Porto had one hell of a team when they won both Euro League and CL as underdogs)

Van Gaal winning the title with AZ was quite an achievement imo.

Would like to see big trainers like Guardiola and Cruyff with clubs like Rayo Vallecano, Heerenveen, Lens and others...
 
Very good win, although a bit shaky, but hey the lads always have that psychological block playing at Old Trafford. Let's hope that mental block starts fading away from now on.

Nacho was MOTM for me. Great defensively and he was there to score the goal with confidence. Ox was looking the part as well, but had to be subbed. Hopefuly it won't be a very serious injury.

I got to say: what an immense goalkeeper that David De Gea is. I couldn't believe it when he saved that Cazorla volley or, even more impressively, that shot from Sanchez at point blank.

Well, looks like we're defending the title, unless some catastrophe happens at the semis.
 
De Gea is a top world class keeper by far the best ,he wins more MOTM then any across the land, n tonight he was MOTM. I was hoping Mata stayed on the bench too. :)
 
Slick passing today! What a great match by Giroud too! One of the best I've seen from him.

Alexis and Walcott were way below par. Özil is getting back to good form and Ramsey was great. Coquelin too, great performance.

Now we just have to go to Monaco and score 3-0 past them at their place. Easy peasy :P
 
Song for WHU looked a beast!! Özil needs to have a go at gol. Theo's unlucky not to get that penalty, Collins could of easily gotten a :R1 . Chambers was exposed every time tracking back. I was thinking Per/Chambers are a calamity on the counter . The Coq had to coq back a few times to help then out. My MOTM is Kosci!
 
Giroud for me as MOTM. Scored a beauty of a goal, set up Ramsey and was involved in the 3rd with a great pass to Cazorla. He also set Walcott up with clear cut chances in the 1st half, including that one when Collins took him out (I thought it was a penalty too).

But Giroud... the man created chances all afternoon long. The best match I've seen from him!

fair point! I`m saying WHU could easily gotten a few gol at the back. Kosc was huge sprinting back saving the counters :)
 
As long as you don't do anything stupid, I can see you going through tonight. Referencing performance in the group stages doesn't tend to be very useful, and an all-out attacking Arsenal is a pretty impressive thing.

Should be fun either way :)
 
Damn that match could have been 3-0 for Arsenal at the very least in this 1st half!

So far, my prediction has been perfect. Arsenal putting a hell of a fight, playing really well offensively, bringing lots of danger to Monaco. But the pessimistic in me still says we will be cursing that 3rd away goal we conceded to Monaco in the 1st leg.
 
Hopefully the Gunners get this.. If only to shut up the annoying as hell Monaco crowd.

We fought hard to go through, on another day Sanchez would of gotten a penalty. I hope we continue this sort of form for the rest of the season. I pray MC goes through and get the same score line as Arsenal. We were so close :) The media can have their say bash The Arsenal , it obviously doesn't effect us lol.
