One of the main ports of interest for me is if they keep the international teams added from FC26. The OG game back in 1993 was built on international teams, and it's fallen by the wayside in recent iterations

"Full reveal" in two days (23rd July):

⚠️ WARNING: ⚠️ All the pre-release material will undoubtedly be recorded in (and focused on) "Competitive" mode. Wait until we get some Pitch Notes to get excited / disappointed / hungry / aroused / shocked / thirsty / vengeful / emotional / tired / hungry again.

Can't wait I am super excited for this!!

What did I. Just. Say. :D

Several "in-the-know" are hinting that we may see UGC (User Generated Content) in FC for the first time this year (including @Mathgamer).

If we're talking things like kits etc. (which is what first comes to mind), I really can't imagine how that would be possible given potential licensing issues... but I guess it could be heavily policed so that e.g. content can only be used for custom teams, and/or if someone tries to upload Adidas's latest boots, they're taken down.

Seems fishy to me, though!

What does "User Generated Content" really mean?
It can mean kits that people have designed for their custom teams, but it can also mean sharing tactics (which you can already do in FC), so it's a pretty wide definition.

Personally I'd like to see slider sharing integrated for console players, so that instead of having to input 20+ different numbers every time my slider-provider-of-choice decides to change everything, I could just input a code.

(If true...) Ughhhhhhhhh.

Forget the trailer, announce the Pitch Notes release date please!

I will just say when I playtested The Grounds, it was so boring and frustrating. Sure it will be the first iteration but if it doesn't have any significant changes then I don't see people touching it after a week or 2

So why is it boring? What do you do ? Play 5vs5 and 11vs11? Is the implementation bad or the whole idea bad?

Is it wishful thinking, regarding "UGC" that potentially we could have custom leagues or created stadiums? I still remember FIFA 11 they had the Creation Center, loved that feature, been wanting something similar for years

I hope a big focus on career mode because it needs more attention. The gameplay, the bugs, bad transfers, young growing, everything is too fast.
No microtransaction, it's a good news, but it's not enough.

They change FUT pack animation every year, and we have the same crappy trophy winning celebration and bad interviews for near a decade! What a shame for a billion dollars company!

Many things should be fixed for years. Why making beta if they don't listen to us??? I don't give a s***t about Open World, I want an immersive offline career mode.

That brings back memories of a time when my life was much simpler. I remember being a junior dev at a company at the time, completed my work and then read they brought out the Creation Center just before the release of the game. I built my entire team at work lol

It was also the time before the modding scene was as fked as it is now

I hope a big focus on career mode because it needs more attention.
I hope so too but like I say every year - they have a sizeable team on Career and Tournament modes but somehow barely anything gets done. Its like all the features we want as offline players are in some design stage limbo for years or held back to be release another year.

I know it'll be the same trailer template as every year, vowing they've "listened to the community" which implies they're catering to the offline purists but really they're catering to the volatile streamers who could never articulate or decide what they really want other than faster and easier and there'll be a bunch of cinematic goals.

But I really hope they main thing they do is just fix the fucking animations and ball physics, how is it that this is the biggest football franchise of all time yet the animations are seemingly worse than 10 years ago with a ball that feels like a sponge being teleported across an ice rink?

Of course I'm grateful for the gameplay mods that drastically improve all of this but not everyone is fortunate to enjoy the game this way and the principle remains, the gameplay should feel enjoyable, understandable and cohesive for all out of the box. There's so much potential with this engine that is wasted with it's factory settings.

Amen. Not much more to add.

I feel sorry for the Career Mode devs who have put so much work into turning their mode into something Football Manager adjacent (yes, press conferences etc. and all the crazy boosts spoil things, but it's only a matter of time before they improve and they're adding more customisation options all the time) - only for the ball to behave like a remote-control orb.

The trailers will doubtless not help us see if this has changed either, because there will always be "magnets" in FUT and The Grounds - so it's a case of waiting for Pitch Notes and/or reports from those who manage to play the game on "Authentic" mode.

That's the other thing - now that we have the gameplay split, we can only hope that things like ball physics will eventually improve. Otherwise, there's no point in having the split in the first place. So it would make sense that things get better...!

Haha i throught exactly the same when i've read the "super!" commentaries below : we won't see competitive mode before some gameplay leaks, so for those like many of us waiting to know if the game really changed > it won't be for tomorrow.
Neither reports / often too happy to test the game that they lost their true analysis competence/

When there will be a full recorded match on the famous mode, showing us that it's not some quick sliders tweaks, i talk also about tweaks we can't have access (agility, ball weight etc.) but something aiming to a real difference, a step-back to when the game was playable/not even "great", just better than UFL and Goals... Now serious talk can begin.
Now to be honest even if it's tons of tweaks and not a total change, i don't care at all : how they will do it -not my problem- only the global result matters.

(Now to be honest : i really got hard to thrust them and i'm 90% sure to be gentle that the good changes won't occurs, but i got enough to read and write stuffs always negative. But it's hard when nothing's turn round)

The Grounds confirmed (which it already was via the tags in the YouTube premiere video).

Any flicker of interest I had in the trailer just died.

I really hope there's some Pitch Notes launched at the same time, but it feels like the trailer is there to generate hype, and then the concrete info comes later.

If Street Fighter, WWE & NBA 2K etc have taught us anything, that free roam modes in sports games just suck. That novelty gets old and tacky fast.

Agreed. I love how FIFA 98 had over 100s of teams. Where the hell are international teams these days.

One of the Career Mode devs has just dropped a hint on Twitter:
