Right? It literally feels like I'm playing an Android game via Bluestacks. Performance issues and all. I tried it again and it's not an exaggeration when I say it's unplayable on PC. At least for me. I don't see why I'd have any issue, I have a Ryzen 3900x, 2080 Super, and 64GB of RAM. This game is so poorly optimized. PES 2021 with a billion mods activated runs infinitely better than this. Lofted passes move at what seems like 3/4 speed. They're going to have to patch the PC version pronto if they want to avoid bad revi-

It's dreadful. I checked myself and the 60 FPS cap made me laugh. I've already uninstalled. I can't utilize my 144hz monitor in a game that was released in late 2021? Un-fucking-real (ah ha). Maybe I'll try the PS5 version to see if it feels like a game that has actually left alpha. Again, this is no surprise considering everything we knew about this glorified mobile project. At least I didn't have to spend a cent on this little "experience."

Yeh my PC can run titles at ultra but PES seems real poorly optimized. Playing long balls just seem like jerky at times.
 
Yep. It's shit. Played one game, uninstalled. Going to stay with PES2021 for many years, i suppose.

Two years of hope down the drain. This is an absolute mess and, in all honestly, an utter disrespect for the fans.

But this is no longer a football simulation game. It's a cash cow aimed at mobile players. A company that respects itself should be ashamed of releasing something in this state. Clearly a port from the mobile game, there's no one who can deny that.

And to all the influencers who are trying to convince us that this is good: you're an even bigger disappointment.

Go to "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\eFootball\eFootball\Binaries\Win64" and Right click on efootball.exe. Choose Properties. Go to Compatibility and than click on "change high DPI Settings". Tick on all two boxes and than click ok and than apply.

I currently try to hex edit the Settings to get rid of the Framerate Cap.
 
Just played it for 10 minutes on PC.

What an absolute fucking joke. It took them an extra year to make THIS? It's the same fucking game. The same shit graphics, the same god awful commentary, the same clunky animations, the same robot goalkeepers, the same sound effects. THE SAME. In no way is this anything "new". They are complete and utter liars.

Genuinely tempted to just uninstall it straight away. It's laughable.
 
It’s nothing revolutionary..Just more of the same and really no different then pes has played or looked for about the last 10 years.Interms of control mechanics,they’ve been lobotomised as has mostly everything else.

It’s a simplified,watered down version of the same game Konami have been peddling for years now.With exactly the same predetermined outcomes and gameplay mechanics.Even the AI is the same.

Sure over time it will look better and more layers will be added,animations etc..But it’s like we’ve gone back in time and Konami are just treading the same tired board.

There’s just nothing new here..It’s all very tired and dated with a UNREAL lick of paint.Presentation is woeful as are the GFX generally.Replays are GBH to the eyeballs.

One thing I really don't like is that they took away the Pressure button (X on PS/ A on Xbox). So now you can tackle with Square like in Fifa, but there's no way to apply pressure. If you hold L2, instead of jockeying your player homes in on the player with the ball and tackles/fouls them.

They also took away Square to have your teammate pressure. So all this together means it's impossible to press because you can only press with one player at a time.

The pressure button is still there. If you press x or A you player follows the player with the ball.

Exactly the same thoughts here, the game just doesn't flow like PES did, feels clunky to me on PC. I accept that defending will take some relearning but it feels really unintuitive at the moment, L2 charges straight at the ball carrier, X is like an auto jockey but it feels extremely difficult to manoeuvre players with the left stick whilst jockeying to cut off angles and passing lanes.

Also seen some absolutely atrocious clipping, balls going through AI players and weird shielding animations when running onto balls despite not pressing L2.
 
There is no way in fucking hell they spent an extra year "developing" this game. Nothing about it screams major evolution or fresh start. It's a continuation of the mediocrity of recent years with little to no noticeable changes, except being possibly even clunkier and more frustrating to play.

Liars.
 
Total disappointment. I can not even begin the list of horrendous game play. I was open minded going in, and well....
I'll have a little hope that once ML and updates are released it will become playable. Until then I will uninstall to save space.
 
Ok, had one game, and honestly, im not going to even give Konami a chance on this one. Im uninstalling it immediately.
It was kinda what i expected.. SO INCOMPLETE, there is no way they should have released this. The backlash will be immense.. This has to be the worst release of a very decent franchise ever!! Framerates where bad, graphics are bad, gameplay no where near pes2021 in terms of player weight, movement, even animations and ball physics. This is a very weird situation.

This is the first time since playing PES, that ive actually uninstalled the most up to date version on day 1.

Positives: pace of game, and ball felt more free. And i have to say player models looked good. Everything else was miles behind pes2021.

Kinda speechless. I mean, from what we saw over the last month, I didnt have high expectations to begin with.. but ofcourse you have to see it (play) for yourself to really make a true assessment. Unfortunately, Its as bad as we thought.

Im playing on the pc/steam version.. so im not sure how the ps5 version plays..but surely its the same.

Well back to pes2021 - luckily i have that :) Hollands's recent pes2020demo gameplay mod is gold :) Still reckon its the best football sim to date. And i cannot see myself switching to any other football game for at least a few years.

The next week will indeed be interesting: how will Konami respond to the crazy inevitable backlash??...
Have there been many examples in videogaming history, where a newly released game gets so much hate, it gets scrapped, and new game is built from the ashes?? I actually think this may happen...

Actually it's new because it's WAY worse than PES21. I have a high-end PC and my MAX FPS is 30! The graphics looks like trash, like a mobile game but to be honest even PES21 mobil looks better. But what's worse is that the whole gameplay is GARBAGE! The players look and movements are absolute TRASH! I've only saw these stupid movements and bugs in fun game modes. :D Not surprised the game is free. And they call this Next-Gen? If someone dare to say that this is Unreal Engine I will slap that person in their face! :D

I played an online game and it looked like there was a choice of many leagues and teams. i just chose Chelsea since I support them, but when I go to play offline there is no chelsea and only 9 teams available. Not sure why Chelsea is available online but not offline

Two things that stood out to me were that if you change defense controls then it will force the same change to offense controls too. For example I wanted to bind some defense controls to R1 - since that button is currently not in use in defense - but then the game forced switch ground passes to R1 also (on offense). Not sure if thats how PES controls work in recent years but that was instantly annoying

Second thing was I got a yellow card and the card beside the player name is literally orange lol. Looks closer to a red card than yellow


I wont speak on the gameplay yet. Only played 2 games
 
I think the only saving grace here is the fact that they haven't called this game PES... they havent associated the PES brand with this heap of junk.
While playing pes2021 season update for the next year or so (relying on they very capable and reliable modding community here), my only hope is that Konami do release a PES game in a year or 2.. an actual PES game, not eFuckball!!!!
 
In a way this typifies the way the industry has been heading. Releasing unfinished games and then “fixing “ & “improving” over them over time and this looks like one of the worst examples.

And now we have these “service “ games. I don’t care if there are people who dismiss opinions as old hat or whatever, it’s all there for people to see and experience regardless of any influencer or media outlet who are just as culpable for this garbage going on. Publisher relations as the consumer or fan gets screwed.

You think of how technology is advancing and these are the type of “games” we get.
 
For now it is unplayable on PC. At least here.

I see too much texture "aliasing". The players look "blocky". Maybe it is a resolution issue, idk.

But, imo, it looks way worse than PES 21 in a lot of aspects... unfortunately (even though KONAMI deserves it)
