I quite like it, appalled we only get 5-minute matches offline though. And the options for everything are stuck in out of the way menus. Level 4 passing is the new manual setting. Xbox Series S looks great but is choppy
 
What year is it? I feel like I just went into a time machine and came out in 2007....and that's just talking about the pitch!

The defensive line retreating is probably worse than it ever was on any Fox Engine PES. That's shocking. As soon as you lose the ball the opposition just all stop and run backwards into their half. Getting the midfield right was CRUCIAL for this new engine for me. It seems to have gone backwards.

gosh is this game awful. got eyecancer from that blue menu and what is this gameplay?! feels so weird. game looks awful, no anti aliasing at all and konami really took the old commentary... 60fps cap, stuttering all over the place because my pc thinks it has to act like a pentium 4.
and they worked YEARS for this?! RIP PES.
glad i expierenced the good old ISS days and the start of PES. as konami said - this isn't pro evo anymore...

and pls ppl, DON'T buy this 40 bucks dlc crap pack. don't support konami for their "work".

That narrative will be pushed going forward. I’ve seen it with Xbox Gamepass, a disappointing game released on the subscription is met with a load of “oh well it cost me nothing who cares”.
 
That wasn't worth staying up for. It's nowhere near being fit for release. No chance people will want to play this as their main football game in 6 weeks time when the first major update lands. There are some things I do like, such as player models and most of the continuous play (corners are annoyingly slow though in terms of cutting to the corner taker).

Main negatives though based on the 3 games I played... L2 rapid close down is horrific, slide tackles are broken (they don't go in the direction you point it seems), awful jarring animations from speeding up to full sprint, terrible movement of players off the ball getting back into position, dumb ai defender opposition trying to do tricks in their own box and keeping possession too long, cardboard crowd, flat grass, disappearing players after fouls before replay, inconsistent power bar, a lot of players stumbling into eachother, no atmosphere, weak shooting, awful pink background for the emblems and probably a lot more I'm too tired to mention!
 
this game is awful, worse than pes 14 at release, worst experience playing a football game ever and the stutter man it was horrible! konami just killed their franchise, if I was Messi I would feel ashamed of putting my face on such a shitty product

100% agree

This new L2 "automatic tackle" doesn't work properly. I was expecting something more "free" and actually you just have to have L2 pressed and wait for your player do the job for you...
 
Collisions are whack, too. Players just bounce off each other soon as they touch, I dont think i have seen any jostling for the ball, yet. It needs HUGE work

L2 is just bizarre, hold it down and they are like homing missiles. Maybe im doing something wrong but players seem to carry on sprinting for a few yards even after I have released the sprint button, resulted in many many attacks being run out of play

I simply cannot get my head around the fact this build of the game got the OK for release. Only tried it on PC so far, but optimize needed!! It needs patching way before November. Not a datapack as such, but a "patch"

I like it too offline (PS4). Graphics, lagging and kind glitchy and all looks so bad but I think it should be fix/updated at one point. With patches and update it should be good, I hope.
 
This game is just miserable. As @Camaldinho said, it's not even 1080p on PC, max 1280x720 resolution. Won't detect XBOX controller unless I switch it PlayStation with DS4Windows but the same happens with FIFA so it's not news.

I had incredibly low expectations for today but what they released managed to make it even worse. I just can't imagine how they spent two years on this. Wow, just, wow.

At least I'm glad they didn't make me pay for this, that would switch disappointemnt to anger very quickly :LMAO:
