Have you got any proof that these claims are false? You say its unlikely that Konami are pushing updates with server maintenance. So its just your opinion and you have no proof, not so good, but then you also say "not even giving vague mentions of it in update logs as has pretty much always been their practice" contradicting yourself completely.

Ah, so the burden of proof for the claim that Konami are secretly updating the game falls to those who see no evidence of updates, and not those speculating at unseen, behind the curtains events. Got it.

I never claimed it was being updated in secret, I in fact I claimed the one November update maybe what I'm feeling when I play but others have said they think its being updated and I mentioned another forum where they claim the same and mentioned the evidence THEY gave, new animations and cut scenes present after Thursday maintenance.

So I have not claimed secret updates so have no burden of proof upon me. You on the other hand have made a claim, a claim that's its not happening and the "evidence" you have provided is no change log id difference, which you then said Konami are not know for doing anyway :? or that its just fanboys pushing the its happening in secret meme. So basically no actual evidence, just passive aggressive comments and asking others to prove their claims when you offer none for your claims.

But hey, you do you.

I think you've misread that part.

He's saying that because their standard practice is to mention changes in update logs, it is unlikely that they are making changes without mentioning them in update logs.

Its said not even giving vague mentions it has pretty much always been their practice, it didn't saying mentioning it has been their practice. Thats how I read it.

This is an understandable confusion. As luciagen says, I'm saying something like this: "they haven't even given vague mentions in their update logs, which is their usual practice", where the "which" is a relative pronoun ("as" can serve a related function, maybe less known to a non-native speaker) pointing to "giving vague mentions in update logs". You've read the pronoun as pointing to the whole phrase including the negation "not", but that's not what I'm saying. Their usual practice is, indeed, to give very vague update log entries "general stability and gameplay improvements", etc. It's always been infuriatingly vague, but it's common enough to be their practice.

Specifically re the claim that Thursday server maintenance updates sometimes also included gameplay elements, as claimed by others, I think it's always been a very fanciful and cognitively biased evidence base. People claim they see a new animation – I sometimes see a "new" animation in PES 2021 having played the game essentially for 3 years now. Sometimes we forget or fail to notice things we've already seen; sometimes the triggering scenarios for an animation can be quite rare for the playing scenarios of a given player.

As for the present claims of people that eFootball has been secretly updated: I do think the burden of proof lies with them, as it generally does when you want to make an existential claim in the face of a shared experience where plenty of people see no changes. If you tell me there's actually an elephant behind the door, I've just not seen it yet, and when I look it's not there, and there's no elephant dung or mess created by it, I have to return to you and ask for some evidence if you're to be taken seriously. My claim in the face of no elephant evidence at that point, to the effect that it's not there and you've probably imagined it, presents a less heavy evidential burden on me than it does on you.

In any case, we both agree the game hasn't been secretly updated, or at the least that it's very unlikely. Happy to leave it there.

Yeah, they haven't fixed shit since the last update last year. Today, I decided to reinstalled the game to test out this theory, and guess what? It still plays like shit. Janky controls, poor optimization, 30fps cutscenes, rendering issues (especially during those prematch cutscenes in the dressing room), no anti-aliasing (huge no-no) poor defending, poor ai movement, etc, etc, etc. I haven't noticed anything new. It still plays the same way it did back in late October/November of last year.

They still haven't sorted out the graphics and other some of the display settings in the game. If they truly updated the game, they would have mentioned it by now on their website or on their official English and Japanese twitter accounts. Instead, we get this crap about it being updated from YouTubers who obviously have an agenda of their own by making statements about the game that have not been verified by Konami.

Well hold on there pal, you might have been playing football games and watching football for decades but if you haven't played the game to at least the German 5th division level you aren't qualified to judge it I'm afraid :( Are you aware that being goal side when defending is advantageous? Go back and try it with this newfound knowledge and it will radically change your opinion I'm sure

So true! Just try to sprint in real life and make a 180° turn, you will see inertia is realistic. If you don't think momentum is realistic, maybe Fifa is more to your liking.

Dude, with much respect and love...You don't need to play pro or semipro football to know those things. Anyone over 7 years old knows this staff by real life experiences.

By your logic, Messi, Mbappe, Ronaldo will be the only good players in this new game..

In the end of the day it is a video game with simulation aspects. It is up to skill and adaptability how well you perform. You professional football knowledge, wil help you only to understand better some rules grey zones??? (maybe)....but i can't relate actual football pro-knowledge to football video gaming.

And trust i have this argument with a friend of mine, who used to play as semipro, since PES 3.

In different case, in FM06, i promoted St. Pauli from Regionalliga-North to Bundesliga, in 2 seasons directly. Does it qualify me as a real football coach???
 
There have been rumors of mechanics returning from PES 2021, but the game is a good 2021, but for me it is not satisfactory enough to play it. I myself wished they would just upgrade the game like the vast majority of fans. The only thing I like is the tempo efootball 22 and the dribble that looks really nice.
 
I've read it... Probably two days ago (the 1st) so

Needs another article as it's not impossible, even if i don't buy it.
But even if it's true, we're should be only on the level "big not really trustfull rumour". So i would say Yes, it should be cool for the support (financial and devs).
Like if i readed that 2K will buy Konami... But let's say that Sony SCCE got more money and links with Konami/Japan than any other big AAA producers.

Well to be honest i'm good with old, "new" or some pics leaked.
Many players in Fifa too, it's far better than before so.

And Body structure has never been an issue for Konami... Well the face looks a bit in plastic.
Much more than with FOX.
