eFootball (All Platforms)

Surely they will add France, now that they have a partnership with them :SMUG: For some riveting matches between France and Sao Paolo :SMUG:

JESUS F CHRIST THIS GAME
don't forget that EA started the licenses battle and now it is like you don't need the league license as much as you need the team license in that league .

What is this bullsiit, basically for us offline players. Transfers will be done for the 9 teams lol. As an offline player that's all I'm getting from this announcement.

The problem relays in people defending this playstore app garbage, for that reason we don't get to push this corporation to do something better or a new project that will be consumer friendly. As long people will say or consider this abomination a football video game with potential, with "realistic" elements in it, totally ignoring the bad parts of it that are going for years in decline will not get anything better. Even on this thread I saw people praising or doing a "realistic review" blindly praising it objectively like is some sort of caviar. This trial mobile app gets everything worse in it than every PES game in the history (including PES 2008 or 2014) and I say that without any constraint. From the minimal content, to the shitty UI design worse than in any game I've played, to the shitty laughable AI during gameplay, way up to the recycled animations from the previous games there isn't anything else in this game "realistic" or with "potential" than the main objective of spinning or buying cards.

The other game FIFA 23 looks bad, of course from what we saw in trailers is glitchy, players are gliding, sprint & score based, filled with lootboxes in FUT, but at least they are pulling out like every year some good marketing to show what they have new in it as progress or improvement (more whamans, nets, HyperMotion2™, career addons, pre match cutscenes, some gameplay etc).

...or wait, eFootball is free so we shouldn't criticize its laughable design, demo like content or their shady way to disguise their PES dead corpse as a new stuffed plushy rainbow unicorn....

I want to talk about design people are mad about colors but that 2 colors are good only if designers know how to combine them together

Finally I'm enjoying this game so much after changing my point of view. It is like charlie chaplin movies and very fun.

Yes since PES 6. But i don't think that's the reason of what we got now.
Just the "evolution" VS games, licences or not. Sadly. And that idea cames from Kimura (i don't think everyone agreed with it) probably coming from the pressure from the owner.

It's a fact that PES, even with a full edit mode, sold lesser and lesser than FIFA, better or not. But you won't remove from my head that the failure was all about the turning point in PS360 era with their PS2 engine, not prepared at all, too focus on PS2 while everything was moving and evolving.

Pes after than became has been, and PS4 version who was way better from practically (not all) PS360 versions makes the exploit took many Fifa players who were more and more tired of playing the same game each year, becoming worst and worst (from what those switched said). There was a gigant editing communauty around that game, Youtube, Edit teams etc., it was a big publicity for them (you can found any player face on YT for example, or full with stats, exports etc.)...

And they all fucked up with their new system. They killed Editing even if it will come back : there's few chances you won't be able to create a team or whatever. Kits, names and that's all.
And only one of that big big part is an OFFLINE thing. They really fucked everything up with their great idea.

If you don't see efootball as a football game it can be pretty fun to play
At least it got some fundamental in terms of physics. I see it way more than a football game than his opponent.
But you're right about the ball physics. Also the rest is unfinished business, or beta feeling.

I would rather say if you see that game as a beta-alpha with missing stuffs and you don't bother about it because what you have to play with is enough for you, it could be fun to play.

"it is time to change and move" it is easy when it comes to words but hard when it comes to actions, we saw that in PES2008 and PES2014, i feel comfortable this time at least company have a strategy and a roadmap the only thing left is revealing things about offline modes.

Well all Japanese gaming companies except Capcom weren't prepared for the turning point of that era.

They probably didn't even through one second to build a new engine for a new generation of console following the path of PC, not really popular in Japan.
But it was another time. And FIFA 08 was an all copy paste from PES with more animations which influed on everything else (where Konami focused on Ball Physics and AI).
With weird models, ugly celebrations same size etc. (old stuffs remaining > removed year after year) but for that time it was a real start of a new generation with that FIFA engine.

Already assistance in passing was a big move. Also : the servers online from EA. Like playing with a friend at home at the time : nothing comparable to PES system.
Then the 360 degree movement, to me, changed everything even more in terms of variety. One year after, PES did almost the same with 2011 version, with some algorithms added.

Well, it's not only licences, even if Bundes makes lost a lot of sell after PES 6 (no one knows about it) but also improvements and the old engine.
Fox was above every engine Fifa did on PS4. But the "master" Kojima leaving them with a very complicated stuff to change, improve, etc., things that it would had took him a week took them a month (just a simple example not to take word for word). The reasons are unknown, what is done is done. But the team of devs also got issues in intern which complicated things.

It's the past, and well, we don't care. I won't repeat again and again, you can't change it, whatever some stuffs are their fault or not.
Now we got a beta out ASAP with nothing on it to play except Dreamteam and various gameplay stuffs unfinished resulting in something basic : just made to play and be functionnal and recolt some coins with their mode.

Edit: Also, sorry but i see potential in gameplay, physics, everything related to football.
But not as a whole game. Neither as a NG game : between PS4 and NG yes. Sorry for seeing some positive stuff in that game and, much more potential than his opponent in terms of direction/balance/physics/AI. In big : let's say the engine seems really "stretchable" so changeable. Abomination is what was in 9.0.1. Now it's just a basic game, but some people like @gabe.paul.logan got fun on it, and his replays aren't awful.

Not as a whole game > means not as a playable offline game unfortunately.

Could you share the roadmap, with official link please?

There is always Football Manager, and even they slowly killing the “Football Manager Touch” series to reduce costs because of the decline in sales. I guess it’s a matter of time before they too add horse neigh sound after goals.
I never was into the manager games. Tried Fifa manager and Anstoss way back the days. Guess it’s up to 20 or more years now.
Im more the action guy. I want to replicate what I tried to do on the pitch myself and see on tv.

What are these cheats ? Do they really exist ? I mean boosting player i only know about void match cheat

Lag cheat
Player boost cheat
Quit cheat
Over the top kick off pass cheat
Short lobbed corner to head pass the ball and score cheat
Scripting in general

I report the opponent in any case, i dont care. Only happiness this game gives me 90% of the time.
I just got beaten again because my 90 rated players face 95 rated players so their brain got switched to a turd again and couldnt function. So i report the opponent. :RSCARF:

True but there is no way that a player boost cheat could exist it is something impossible.

Well, you should try one. All starts with a managerial game, then things will get a bit serious, you'll think to grow a corporation like Konami in mind to do the perfect football game like Pro_Too Soccer for example, during the years creating with passion some great football games that will remain in history, and one day smoking pot you'll ask yourself how to grow even bigger and fat like EA... of course in the third act everything is going to shite coz' some nervous intern guy leading the project uploads a wrong early alpha asset flip build called eFootball on the store front instead of Pro_Too Soccer 2022 from the teaser. Moral of the story... managerial games are dramatic!!!

thanks. Enjoy it pal!
im 42, I had my share of manager games. Be it football or an amusement park. 🤷‍♂️

i want to use my time for other activities.

There is. Players get banned for it. If its possible they are still doing it.
And im playing the World Wide Event's last challenge for the 3x10K experience points. I lost my 12th game in the row. Same. Fucking. Matches. Above i listed the fuckery this game displays. And im not exaggerating. Now im on the same page with @Chris Davies. Feels like your players become stupid drunk idiots if they face high rated players. The opposition isnt better. Its just your players become turds. And thats why it is annoying, if i get outplayed and even with better players, fine. But why my players playing like toddlers?Perhaps Konami wants to force everyone to buy these overrated players in order you could be able to compete.

So someone is cheating. Either the opposition or Konami. Im reporting it. :LMAO:

I'm glad you agree now, cos every time you post about how frustrating it is, I just keep seeing a reflection of me... Trying to play modern football games, trying to play them to enjoy the good bits, but in reality just fucking drowning in the worst bits (which are the majority of the game IMHO), ranting, and coming away angrier every time.

Playing them genuinely puts me in a bad headspace; friends and family notice my mood change. I'm trying to will them into being serious simulations where I don't just come away feeling cheated, cheated out of my time and cheated by the antique game engine that just shortcuts its way to making the most valuable team (literally) win.

I think initially the thing was that the highest rated teams were about 90 rated only 4 months ago, perhaps those players are not holding your hand that much like the 95+ rated ones because every opponent like this is unbeatable i swear. Like playing Mortal Kombat 2 or any game that blatantly cheated in the old days. This is just no way these guys are this good because they just dont play good, its more like im not allowed to play or not rewarded with a goal even if i reach the box.

Either this or Konami tweaked something to make the gap bigger recently to please users who put money into this game buying overrated players, so they could beat almost anyone lower rated than them without effort. Yes, even with sitting on the toilette with a mobile.

And yes after every work day im kinda looking forward to game and yes with football, because the game has nice elements to it but damn....i usually play after workout when im supposed to be chill and tired. But in an hour my blood is boiling and im screaming, raging at the monitor. And i truly feel bad. This game is not even good for your mental health. One of the most infuriating games because of this i have ever played.

I should be playing that cat game, or continue Onimusha Warlords, Shenmue 3, clean up the playstation backlog of my story based games. Have some fun. Not this sketchy and even clunk, no content, cheat fest. Ill swear i only come back when there are offline modes.

I don't think that he can boost player other than disturbing your connection with the host server to make game slow for you it is same thing but not void match just you play with slow connection with server will make your players slower their reaction with/without the ball too there is a noticed delay between button pressed and the player reaction etc ...

This Roadmap, is the old one, it is outdated, and was fallen apart and failed, with game's release postoponement, last October...

I assume you know it yourself, that it doesn't serve as a Roadmap anymore, since at least 10 months ago..

95% of it, never happened in time described in the roadmap , and the 50% still never happened..

But still i assume you know it, cause it was published 21 July of 2021, and the time schedule included, says: early Autumn (2021), Autumn (2021), Winter (2021)... While nothing of those happened until the end of 2021 and neither until April of 2022...

The one thing I noticed is that my only spin player: CR7, he no longer lasts a game. Like all the sudden, his stamina now tanks by the 60th minute. Reminds me of how Apple and Samsung used to push updates that start draining your phone's battery life around the time they release a new phone.

Cause it is not a real roadmap it was just for presentation and marketing things cause it contains extra features real roadmap needs to have core features like when the offline modes will be released and when the big update will be released etc...
