Ruud has given more assists at Madrid than he has any other club.
So how is that different than Torres, who, according to you, is not world class?

I personally think him and Toni are the best strikers at the moment. Toni scores every week and is top scorer of the Bundesliga in his debut season.

Well I just done a translation online and get the general jist of what the article is about. It's not too different to some of the reports over here.
We aren't in financial trouble, but Gudmondsen is unhappy that Eggert Magnusson negotiated many deal for players on high wages.
Now it is a little over the top when they say players like Neill are on 70k a week, when the reality is that he is on about 33k a week basic, but some players like Dyer, Ljungberg and Parker are earning a lot of money. (Though we signed Ljungberg on a free transfer).
It's not about how we are in financial trouble, but more how we have made mistakes in the transfer market by buying players that have been injured and with Magnusson gone and Nani in as Technical Director, we will be looking at the physio and training side of the club, as well as developing a better scouting network to pick up players from Europe and beyond for cheap that we can develop, rather than injury prone British players on high wages.
Hopefully players like Fabregas and Hyypia for example, who cost very little and were not really well known
We won't have that much to spend this summer and Curbishley will probably need to cut the squad and bring in fit replacements, but we certainly aren't in any trouble

There's been a few articles mate, but nothing newsworthy really.
Had it been last season, the press (notably the Daily Mail) would have said that Gudmondsen would have been hiding Bin Laden, Ljungberg would have slept with Tevez, Lucas Neill earns £836k per week and invests it in a non fair-trade pickle factory in Zimbabwe and Kevin McCabe would have demanded that AC Milan been thrown out the Champions League because it's JUST NOT FAIR!!! haha

Has been class, as has Carvalho.
Just that Carvalho has had different CB pairings and a weaker unit to defend in.
Not taking anything away from Vidic as he has been brilliant, just think Carvalho has gone about his usual brilliant business quietly
Besides, people have named Lescott, Laursen and Alex, yet you bring me up on Carvalho?
(Assuming Ferdinand is obviously in your team.)
cause torres doesnt set anyone up(rareley) loses possession of the ball at times, and is simply a goal scorer, nothing wrong with that, cause he is great at what he does, but ruud is more complete and his link play with raul is frigging amazing...

brown would be a tough one... but im digging the rest of your linerup, but again, Freidel for me is the best keeper.. james makes the odd ridiculously stupid play...
Torres' link up play with Gerrard is amazing.
No point in comparing Ruud, or Torres. Different type of strikers.
ummm i dont consider gerrard making an amazing pass TO torres link up play. Maybe if torres returnend the favor more often i would agree with you... i think at manu ruud and torres were very similiar...

anyway its true away from home torres hasnt done much for lfc....
He's scored 7 goals from 15 away games, including a hat trick, and the match winning goal against Inter, and another fantastic one against Marseille :brick:

As a neutral: Torres has big potential but at the moment he is not as good as Van Nistelrooy...he still can become better....but right now Ruud is better.
Obviously, Ruud is better at the moment.....

This is of course a very subjective team...Ronaldo is without doubt the best player in the premiership but i don't like him. Torres and Mascherano could be there but i prefer Berbatov and Essien.
Manager of the year: Steve Bruce. What he did with Wigan Athletic is unbelievable. At the beginning of the season, i was sure that both Derby and Wigan would face relegation...when Bruce took over Wigan were in a relegation position...now they are virtually saved...
