FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014

I think you're overreacting!

Honestly I think so too. Of course it was a foul and also a clear yellow card, but the game was near end and Zuniga only looked at the ball to win it back from Neymar to help his team to stay in the game. But at least it was one of the first times I actually saw a clear foul on Neymar, I definitely won't miss all his dives(or jumping into other players) the rest of the WC(which Brazil probably somehow will win anyway), even though I of course wish nobody such injuries.

It finally is a thing :LMAO:

This is absolutely world class time-wasting from Argentina. The ref is going hook line and sinker too.

Worst part of what has been a great world cup. Time wasting has been so effective. Ref adds 5 minutes, bet we'll play about 30s of football.

Stopwatches. Fix football.

The way timekeeping is handled in football just pisses me off. 5mins added and most of it used up in time wasting. Sooner we leave it to a clearly displayed computer controlled clock the better

agreed. i'm not much of a fan of implementing technology into football, but stopwatches would be a blessing.

If Netherlands wins their next 2 matches and Brazil beats Germany, this will be the first time ever I will support Netherlands mroe than 1 game in a row. Hate that timeplaying, I still wait for a referee who also lets the teams the added time play, not waste.
In which part?

For me this foul was on an equal level, if not worse than Schumacher's tackle against Battiston.

Strange comparison I think. Schmuacher was jumping into Battiston when the ball already was meters away, while Zuniga (who didn't even jump that much like Schumacher did) wanted to win the ball.

This WC has been horrendous for that. One match I posted on earlier had 4 minutes of added time, the ball was in play for 25 seconds.

There is no argument against a stop watch I've ever heard. Two 25 minute halves. Simple. The ref already wears two watches and is supposed to add the time anyway!

It tells you a lot about the culture of football that my pundits are saying how professional and experienced Argentina were there. They were cheating, deliberately conning the referee and worst of all, pretending to be hurt seriously. It's shameful. But it's football.

Bizarre performance by Belgium, no fighting spirit, this didn't even looked like a world cup quarter final. Only 5 minutes of actually trying.

What a hearthless team Belgium was today. They will never win anything with that spirit. No surprise the semis will have only big teams that knows how to win World Cups... And very few are these teams, for sure Belgium is NOT one of them and probably never will.

ARG had very good ball control game. The defense held the line at the back well. BEL werent as bad as some will say, I gave credit to ARG game plan. The last few minutes ARG were vulnerable by allowing BEL to attack.

I'm euphoric. I did not live to see Argentina go through QF, and nw this is it!!!!!

Speaking objectively, this is the best match we played so far. We defended like never before under Sabella's administration (Garay and Demichelis proved to be a solid back couple) and when we attacked, we were precise and dangerous. Good thing we got Higuain back, hope Di Maria's injury is nothing serious on the other hand.

However, as many said before, I was disappointed when we decided to park the bus at the end of the match, particularly when Sabella decided to bench Higuaín, which I would have done, but not sending in GAGO, after how horrendous he played in previous matches when he played 90 min. We even jeopardised our lead for ten minutes. That's not our style of play.

In danger of sounding like a hypocrite, Argentina controlled this game from start to finish. They were closer to 2 and 3 goals than Belgium was the equalizer. Argentina were very selective and cynical when choosing which counter to go for and they were mor solid defensively than I ever imagined them capable of. Great display but not much in terms entertainment value. I don't think they were particularly rough, and the replays showed that most of the times they were rolling around there was knock, stomp or elbow involved so I'm not too bothered. They simply outsmarted Belgium and almost nullified them.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, very very deserved victory and FUCK YEAH! ARGENTINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARGENTINA!
That's all I have to say. This is the 1st I've ever seen them in a WC Semi Final and it couldn't feel better.

I don't think so, Zuniga had no chance of getting near the ball, this was aimed at Neymar's back. He jumped with the knee in front into that tackle, this isn't a usual movement, when you have the possibility to win a ball to me.

Di Maria said to be out for rest of World Cup (thigh injury)

Edit: 'sup with all the whistling from the crowds every time European teams hold the ball in possession? Or am I just imagining things?
