Manchester United Thread

Rio charged after his twitter comments too.

I understand his frustration during the trial, but it really wasn't smart to be making any comments, let alone what he said, silly.

It's actually an interesting case - his bad comment was actually replying to someone else. He's obviously an idiot for doing anything at all, but I wonder if we'll get our first ban due to twitter because it's Rio.

(correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't everyone else been fined? Was Babel banned for a match for tweeting Howard Webb in a United jersey?)

Tis finally the day that many had predicted would come: the day when the Glazer's finally screw us properly.

They've gone back on their word that the IPO would go towards repaying the debt. Instead, it sounds like they'll just pocket the majority of the capital raised - presumably to help their other failing businesses.

Meanwhile, Ferguson and Gill and others will be beneficiaries of the Equity Incentive Award Plan, which I assume is why Fergie has been so loving all this time.

Not only might it cripple my club, but I think Ferguson's attitude and complicit nature in this might tarnish the reputation of the greatest manager in history - that's almost as sad for me.

Any United fan that buys a single share should be prevented from watching another minute of our team play.

Fuck Sake :((

Well I guess you can only take the positives and their are some but its a shit how they've decided to go back on their word.

As Andersred has pointed out:

Amount to be raised by the IPO: £300m
Amount to be paid to the Glazers and 'execs': £288m

That's pretty much all you need to know.

Rumour has it Fergie is one of those 'execs'. It's amazing to think that this whole thing stemmed from an arguement about horse breeding.

Happy days

The positivity of a massive new sponsorship deal to news about the shares, a rollercoaster of emotions.

Almost guaranteed he is.

I can't even understand his motivations, to be honest. It's not like he's poor, and given his previous political leanings, one would have thought selling out HIS club for something like £8m seems pretty f*cking stupid. He makes almost that much every year!

You're so angry, you are talking like Yoda ;))

I don't really have a problem with SAF pocketing any dosh from this, he deserves it for the service he's given to the club, I just think he should reserve judgement about 'real fans' and such which is silly on his part.

Alex Morgan posted this on Twitter. We could use another striker...

Fergie, sign her up!

She's in Manchester cause the US Women are playing at OT.

Says on Wiki she supports Barca along with Seattle in the MLS (BF plays for Seattle). Seen a video of her at the Nou Camp saying she's a fan but whether that was just publicity or not I dunno.

Bloody lovely as well and United tops always look good on hot women, even that teatowel monstrosity.

Well, yesterday at OT I did see Ferdi n Chichi watching USA playing from the stands I`m sure they spoke...I see Ferdi in the women backroom giving them a tour and chichi behind licking his chops 'Hey Ladies!" .

At least the new away kit looks good.

I was being tongue in cheek re: 'real' fan - as per Fergie last week. She's been an MUFC supporter for years, apparently.

Did anyone see Moura in action against New Zealand tonight?

YouTube - Lucas Moura vs New Zealand - Olympics 2012 by Yanz7x

Here's a video of it, incase you haven't seen it.

Paulo youngster Lucas Moura has admitted he is pleased Manchester United are interested in him.

The Brazil Olympics sensation is a major target for United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I'm really glad to know the interest of Manchester United, a large and important club, with fantastic facilities”, Lucas is quoted by Fcinternews.it.

“Now, however, I do not want to think about what may be in my future.

"After London I'll decide, my agent and my dad are working on it."

Basically we won't know what's the situation until Brazil exit the tournament.

Lucas Moura aside...That video showed how rampant our little Rafael is!
Rafa is almost in every move when Brasil attacks down that right hand side.
Gonna be a big player next season in my opinion but needs to stay fit!

I did watch all of that video...and I am thinkin, we already have a 'Lucas Moura' type of player in our squad right now...in fact, we have two in Tony Valencia and Nani! Proven Premiership players and we are gonna blow 30million pounds on Lucas? Hmmmnnn.

Agreed. Far more important that our Brazlian right back manages to stay fit this year! Still annoyed Fergie let Fabio out - we're going to need full back cover and it inhibits the growth of Smalling and Jones always getting moved around.

Lucas Moura just seems such a luxury at a time when we can't afford it. Unless something is up with Nani, or Young I guess, there's no need for him.

Especially if we end up paying more/ similar to what Chelsea paid for Oscar - someone we'd be more likely to mold into a position our team actually needs.

Sky is reporting that United look set to lose out to PSG in the chase for Moura, anyone found something more substantial?

That would be good for us.
We dont need him at all...we got 3 useful out and out wingers that we can rotate and we should stick to that.

I am more worried about the lack of cover in central midfield...and we are apparently not in for Nuri Sahin?

:TTTH:

I love it, we finally find a player that isn't being coveted by one of the English sugar daddy clubs, and he gets poached by a French sugar daddy club. Curses.

But I do agree we don't need him at anything like that price.
