Watching tonights CL Final made me a bit sad, realization that probably going to be a while till I get to see United competing for big ears again. :((

Could be sooner than you think.
Aseason without Europe will do them good.
They will miss one CL season and will be extremely motivated the next one.

Well, as great as Juve are, they never really got into grips with the CL again after not playing for a while...its a tough competition and a season out may do more damage than people may think.

I know this might be late, but I finally found out Thiago was actually really signing for us last summer and Giggs stopped it. Apparently he's not a United player.

If we were to believe what's written online.

I might understand Giggs a bit, but how does he really rate players being United players or not? Yes they shouldn't be joining for the money only, but it isn't a simple job to determine their United'ness (not a real word), unless they're of course homegrown or something.

That story is bollocks Lami

Giggs never had any say in what transfers we make.

Also its been reported that our targets are Shaw (will be done post World Cup) Hummels and Strootman

Well I do hope it's "bollocks".

As for Shaw, Chelsea are in as well. They could easily ruin it for us.

So who does everyone think will benefit the most from LvG coming in regards to looking a much better player.

Fellaini? Kagawa? Cleverley? Young? Nani?

Kagawa and Nani (if he isn't sold) imo.

Fellaini doesn't have enough ball ability for LvG, and Cleverley just doesn't have enough ability.

same with taylor's opinion too. adding to it, I think young's vision is not enough for lvg football. think of how he rewarded thomas müller in his first season.

15 trophies, certainly a dark period in man united history

Let's not go down that road. Taking $1bn out of of a club for personal gain certainly hasn't helped us.

Imo we'd be up there if not surpassed Real/Barca/Bayern at the big boys table if we'd not had the Glazer vampires sucking funds out of us. If we'd built on our peak instead of going stingy, we'd never by 7th and out of the CL.

Ha laughable , look at all the shit signings sir Alex made, Ashley young, that says it all. He lost his talent touch, be honest. That has more to do with 7th and nothing to do with glazers, Chosen one anyone?

Why, he has added nothing to Utd. They had a pretty identical record before he "bought" the club. Other then syphoning close to a billion pounds out of the club I see nothing positive about his ownership.

Edit

re-read my last sentence...freudian slip?

chelsea are reportedly getting as close as ever with the filipe luis deal. your chances on shaw move are just rapidly increased :BOP:

Love that LFC can somehow manage to get a Southampton player up for a medical who was with the England squad, but Eddie seems incapable.

Maybe our best new signing would be someone running the club that knows something about football.

I just genuinely don't understand how we're so bad with actually closing transfers.

Other clubs just get them done and we faff around for ages until we either overpay or they move to someone else.

We used to be good too. That summer we signed Nani, Anderson and Hargreaves was amazing. Hadn't even heard we were interested in the first 2, and then all three were at Carrington in jerseys.

That's the way to do it.

To be fair, Woodward is only slightly more experienced in these things than you and I, so it's maybe unfair to expect much from him. Which is why you WOULD expect us to hire someone who is a specialist.

 Its still May lads.

not saying I have incredible confidence that we'll sign 4 world class players and everything will be fine but its way to early to start moaning about it.
