Everything would be different if he let Fabregas and Nasri go on early July...Then he would have plenty time to re-build team and things will be looking different today...Wenger::COAT:

For christ sake two of my favorite teams has had their ass handed to them in back to back season. First Feyenoord last year now Arsenal, I surprised.
 
The problem also is I doubt real quality will want to join Arsenal now which makes it worse.

the 2 week break has come at a decent time.
 
To be fair, he wouldn't have anticipated that his kids will get 3 red cards in 3 games. And I believe Barca and Man City deliberately bought both players as near the transfer deadline as possible so leaving little time for Arsenal to react to it. Just a thought though.
 
The thing is he just keeps stripping the squad, at every level, and that's why you have to question him.

It's one thing if he's letting quality players like Nasri and Fabregas go, to an extent if they want to leave he might not have a say in that.

But if you look at some of the other players he's let go, Eboué, Senderos, Eduardo, Clichy, even going back to Gilberto Silva, none of these players wanted to go. Those players had a degree of versitility if Eboué was still there they wouldnt have had to play a 12 year old non-leaguer at full back. In fact selling Eboué sums up his crazy sqaud stripping mentality, and that's why I think it's time for him to go.

He has far too much faith in his youth team, it's cost you finishing top of the CL groups in the last few seasons (which meant you faced Barca instead of say Roma last year), and it's costing you in terms of him not signing decent back up players.

I'm sure Wenger has some signings up his sleeve besides Park Chu-Young, this can't be allowed to continue. Blatantly clear your team needs quality players, he's got the money from selling Cesc and Nasri, he must use it.
 
I expected to be outclassed 3-0 today, something like that. Not being arse-raped, sodomized and humiliated like this. Not even the most pessimistic fan would. This scoreline looks like United battering a Championship bottom-table club.

to be fair crawley town played better at OT than arsenal did today...
 
I think that after this disaster Wenger needs to go away. He did nothing for Arsenal in last few seasons. Few best players from first 11 or first 18 are leaving team each year and who he brings in to the team instead of those who leave? He sign kids who are then sitting on stands and watching a game. This has to stop once for all. As my favorite EPL team, I am just horrified with what will season look for Arsenal

also Vermaelen is quality CB.. Song would make it in top club as well.. so would Sagna and Wilshere :)

Song? That's why Wenger is looking forward to M'Vila, a defensive hold midfielder! Yes, Sagna and Wilshere are both class, specially the last one who can turn into a very special player, but right now, any Gunner would make into Madrid or Barça.

If this was FM I would threw my money on Baines (top5 EPL LB), Samba (or Cahill, or Dann), M'Vila (apparently Wenger is keen on him, as I said before) and Hazard (oh that one is impossible though, Arsene screwed things up when suited Park).
 
i think moving to the stadium was a bad move. should have stayed at highbury and wait till we have funds to build a new stadium

If wenger had lots of £££ to spend from past sales and refuses to spend it. Then i cant see any reason why anyone would stil back wenger.

People here backing wenger are only assuming that its the Board that dont want to spend. What if it is not true? what if it just Wenger who is being stubborn? End of the day Wenger has said every summer he has money to spend? so why believe in a "rumour" that we have no money to spend rather then believe exactly what wenger himself says?

What did wenger say in june?

Something along the lines that "You cant sell both nasri and fab and expect to be classed as a top club anymore"

People seem to blame the Board and not wenger, yet when wenger had Toure, gallas, nasri, fab,adebayor, Hleb, Gilberto Silva, Flamini, diarah etc etc we still diddnt win anything with those players 3-4 years ago and u cant say the above players are crap.

SO why diddnt we win back then? lack of experiencE? nope. lack of ability and experience? nope? i tell u why we diddnt win back then. No plan B, no change of tactics and no clue how to defend(i have said before even if wenger bought vidic, puyol, ashley cole and ferdinand we would still concede stupid goals). You cant blame the board for crap blinded tactics can you. thats all on Wenger. The board doesnt teach the players how to defend. The board doesnt pick players to play in positions thats alien to them and the board certainly dont architect a PLan B. No that is Wenger. that is what he is employed to do and i am sick to death of earing people defend him and slag off the board as if Wenger is not to blame at all.

Using the board as a scapegoat in other words when both u and i dont know the ins and outs and all assuming the board doesnt want to pay for high quality players. Yet the ONLY official word we have heard out of arsenal is straight from Wenger who has said millions of times that we have money to spend on big players! it was only a week or two ago wenger said he is willing to drop 30m on a single player!

So why are u believing in a myth/rumour of the board not wanting to spend instead of your beloved idol Wenger who has been clear to us we have money to spend?

If wenger cant win nout or at least challenge till May for the title with the above players in mentioned earlier, what chances of him doing anything now? what chances of him changing his ways when he has never changed his ways?

I feel sorry for the Likes of jenkins been thrown in the deep end by wenger and made to look like a bunch of amature players who are not even good enough to play in a sunday league. Their confidence must be shattered and look and behold, not a single veteran experience player in that whole team that could pick up Jenkins and give him some words of wisdom whilst MANU HAVE those veterans still there .

At the end of the day, dont use the board as the scapegoat and an excuse until YOU post some HARD FACTS about it being the boards fault. End of the day, the HARD COLD FACTS is that we have money to spend and Wenger hasn't and appears to not want to spend it.
