I think quite the opposite, a 8-2 thumping has put the fear of the Lord into Arsenal's players
This was bound to happen anyway. You can't play at this level without proper cover and with that dodgy approach to defending. Sooner or later you get found out.
As for Arshavin, really, am I the only one who thinks he wasn't too bad yesterday?
He's been accused of lazyness and not tracking back and challenging, but he seemed to be doing just that before it was all lost and gone.
While I don't agree if he indulges in the act of the "genius who doesn't need to do the dirty work", I do put things in perspective: he's our oldest field player. He's not getting any younger, Arshavin. He's playing alongside kids 10 years younger than him, and these youths are not busting their guts, so he must think "why should I"? He does look resigned and I think it comes from that.
When you look at Traore's name in the starting lineup you know hard times are around the corner.
According to Arseblog, Traore was chewing gum and smiling after the whistle. I must admit I didn't see it, as I immediately turned off my TV. But I don't doubt it and that's the biggest example of the kind of players and attitude we must sweep out of the club.
Arseblog also says something that I completely agree: in an almost perverse way, getting battered like that feels almost necessary, a big kick up the arse is what AW and the board need to start the revolution.

FFS!!! I sound like Internet Joe from Arseblog's podcast, I kid you not.
