Your hatred towards Barcelona again here in full glory.

1) No need to be rude. If Barcelona wants to pay less than what Arsenal want they are in their right. The same way arsenal is in their right to put a higher price if they feel like it. After all, if Arsenal ends up selling is because they DECIDE to sell. If they didn't want to sell, they would never sell Song because they have a contract. So maybe you should shout those insults towards Arsenal if they end up selling him at a lower price.

2) As you should know, Keita has gone to China to play, and Mascherano is playing as a CB, and he stated that he wants to play there because he enjoys it more than in DMF. So, Barcelona has only Busquets there. If you want to win champìonships, you need at least 2 players for each position.

3) One of the reasons why Barcelona ends up buying at Arsenal is because... well, Arsenal is a selling club. They sell their best players. That's a fact in the last 5 years. And Arsenal seems to be ready to sell. It's the same reason why clubs came to buy at Barcelona during the late 90s. Inter spent years trying to snatch our best player each year. But Barcelona didn't sell that easy and turned into a buying club and the trend changed. Maybe if Arsenal wasn't a selling club, Barcelona would end up buying other players from other clubs. But clearly, if you had the need to buy a DMF and not much money to spend (or at least not as much as Madrid, City, Chelsea or PSG) where would you go to buy a player with great experience and a certain level? Arsenal right now is a target because they have put themselves in this position, probably due to the new stadium, but also because of the way the club is being managed.

4) A lot of times Arsenal has done great business selling to Barcelona. Petit, Overmars and Hleb turned into great business for Arsenal. So, from the business perspective of the board, why not another one? After all, the current board seems to love filling the bank account instead of the bench!

5) I have no doubt that sooner or later the trend will change and Arsenal will turn again into a competitive club amongst the top clubs in the market.

6) Personally, I don't like the way the that the Arsenal board and Wenger have been acting. They are clearly limiting the club, making it shrink a bit. But hope is that with the new UEFA economic fairplay rules Arsenal may find a much better position in the market.

Dekkard it is strange if you cannot understand why Arsenal fans are annoyed with your clubs antics of discussing their players in public then trying to engineer a move for that player. You really need to relax and stop policing for any negative comments about your club. It's a valid opinion for him to be annoyed with Barca's attitude towards Arsenal. You need to remember not everything about a club is always golden and perfect. Even your club. And he's not insulting you personally so there is no need to get on your high horse about it.
 
We are only a selling club when our players want to leave, when Barcelona comes in for any player in any team around the world I think 99% of them would probably want to go to Barcelona.

Song is an exception, because we can make him stay, but then I think it will be one of those things that comes up every season again and again and again. Song will eventually want to leave and then it will get nasty. Plus he has Darren Dein as an agent and I think Wenger knows that eventually it will get nasty, just like with Van Persie, it is best to get rid of all of the players that have him as an agent, because at the moment the guy is like a cancer eating away at our players.

Anyway, as we have had this argument before we have every right to be pissed off with Barcelona.

I for one just want players that want to be with us and after Song (Maybe Walcott but we will see), hopefully we have a squad of players that only concentrate on playing for Arsenal, this can only be good from our point of view and in the case for Song, as long as we replace him straight away, I am not too fussed about it.

Again we have spent 90million over the last two summers, are we not a buying club? because most teams that have spent that much (apart from the sugar Daddy teams) would be classed as one.
 
i feel sorry for Arsenal fans..i feel bad looking at the pictures of RVP with United crest instead of Arsenal and i realy don´t even care about both United or Arsenal that much..

It´s unnatural to see a captain of one english club move to another and big rival as well...no matter what the circumstances were..Player of his status, who spended long time in one of best English clubs should only move abroad...but this is not a romantic football world we live in anymore...

I feel something died inside in many of Arsenal fans with this transfer...

Football needs to be cured, or it will lost the fans who realy care more about the other aspects of the game experience than just seeing money grabing players without loayality...

I am arsenal fan, its special to perceive arsenal player playing arsenal great rival, but arsenal is no longer a team that is a threat to man utd nor city. Arsenal has become adopting center where top players lose their dream of winning trophy. arsenal is now business team, it might be hard for arsenal supporters to swallow this fact ,but the probability arsenal winning trophy in the next 5 years is unthinkable. we don't even now if our players really want to play for arsenal, all we now is that at the first strike of transfer rumors they are interested in leaving, i am not talking about RVP b/c his situation is different from others , he is 29 and missing this chance would imply ending career with no silverware. I am talking about the rest young players who have no commitment to arsenal. in the next 3 years we will witness the departure of song, Walcot, whilsher, OXC, and others. arsenal players are losing the sense of commitment and love for their team because of arsenal stupid policy. people must open their eyes and realize that we have lost our reputation as we celebrate 2012 as a 8 year of EPL trophy drought

Being called a selling club hurts. I feel the agenda to bring down the club is part of a power struggle from inside vs outsiders. When wanting power you must break down the very thing you love. The Dien family loves the club , but are blibded by their power. FFP will benefit the club and the board. So, time is running out for the Diens scum cunts and clubs like barça , city wont be approach from the back to weaken Arsenal's stance 'selling club' .

My beloved club is like a city's wall protecting the land. Whose been hit hard and even when broken. We stay to build, again , again. For I refuse to fold even when chucks of concrete slap are removed. We stand and build again and again.

Ok, so I can say "fuck off" to Arsenal for asking for high prices? Jesus, it's the typical market proceedings. The selling club tries to earn more and the buying side tries to lower the price. There's nothing wrong in the way Barcelona is approaching the transfer of Song. It's the same process Arsenal has took with lots of players they signed.

You can be fustrated with Barcelona signing several Arsenal players, but come on, Arsenal does the same with smaller clubs and it's only hipocresy when you cant' see this.

We had to suffer this exact process when Toure went for City. I didn't say "fuck off" to Man City fans or the club, because we're all in a market, City came with money and Toure wanted to go (mainly because he would earn a lot more, just like Song). The richest club sign players from the poorer ones. What the hell is Barcelona doing wrong here? Wanting a player? Wanting it in a lower price? Negotiating? Don't make me laugh.

You're full of hipocresy, because that's what ALL clubs want and what all DO when they CAN. The problem of Arsenal is that it can't keep the good players. But if you want I can remind you how Arsenal get most of those young promises in the young teams.

As most of you know, Arsenal is my second club, and it hurts me to see how the club is positioned in the market. There's a problem when your good players always go away. And the board could have been strong and decide not to sell any of the players they have in the last 4-5 years. If they do is because the board is ok with this. So I say it again, blame the board.

And by the way, Edmundo, I've never said Barcelona is golden and perfect. That's your words, not mine. If you take a minimal effort, you'll see how I can perfectly have positive and negative oppinions about my club or any other. For instance, I was very critic with Barcelona being stupidly vocal with all the Fabregas conflict. But that's not the case with Song. So I think you missed your target quite a lot here.
 
It's just it seems to me that everytime Barca are criticised you get heavily on the defensive. Sometimes it's obviously right like over the Ibrahimovic agent comments a few years ago, but other times its obviously wrong, like when people point out that selling Eto'o was an absurd decision by Guardiola. Look, I understand it's your club and you feel very precious about it, but I think having a go at an Arsenal fan for criticising Barcelona strongly in an Arsenal thread is overkill. Telling a club to bugger off is qualitativly different to telling you as a person to bugger off so I really dont see why you are getting so wound up about that.

To be honest, I'm not "frustrated" with Barca signing Arsenal players. I don't support them, I actually support a team in League One in the UK, but that's by the by. I don't really care if Song goes there or not.

But I have to say I think the way Barca conduct themselves in signings seems to be qualitativly worse than a lot of other teams. Yes clubs try and get the lowest price for a player, as you say like businesses might try and get the cheapest price for a product. But there are civil and cordial ways and means of doing this, look at some of the high profile transfers over the last few years. Falcao to Atletico, De Gea to Man United, Torres to Chelsea, Silva to Man City, Kehdira to Real Madrid, etc while the clubs almost certainly dont agree a price initially, because most of the discussion takes place in private the negotiation process was much better. None of these clubs indulged in behaviour such as Pujol dressing Fabregas in a Barca shirt after the World Cup, pretending to steal those photos of Arsenal players while training at Arsenals ground before the 2011 CL final, and none of them had 3-4 players continously giving interviews about how the target would be so good at the purchasing club. You seem to think Arsenal sign players in exactly the same way Barca do, but I disagree. For instance I don't remember Cardiff being incensed about £4.8m fee for Ramsey, having said that I don't think Arsenal offered a derisory initial offer, and I dont think Fabianski, Rosicky and other players dressed him up in an Arsenal shirt or all gave interviews 24/7 months before he joined about how he would be such a good player.
 
Without sugar daddies and limitless, uncontrolled losses, Arsenal would not be a selling club (except in very exceptional circumstances, like Cesc).

I agree today's prices are too crazy and £15m should be enough for a player like Song, but you have to play by the rules of capitalism, and teams like Madrid, Chelsea, City, PSG, United and even Barcelona have been skewing the market with the crazy transfer fees and wages they pay.

I'm especially pissed off to see Arsenal accepting this £15m fee in a market where Stewart Downing costs £20m. This is clearly not right, so if Rossel signs Song for £15m consider yourself lucky. And I see no need to involve players talking shit to the press, to unsettle our players and try to get a lower value. This is a low blow IMO. This is a very familiar situation for us Arsenal fans lately.

Song is 24 years old, his contract goes until July 2014 and he was one of the Premier League's best DM last season. So I suggest the Barcelona board put their money where their mouth is.
If I had a say in Arsenal matters, there's no way I'd allow him to go now for that fee.

Having said that, I kind of understand what Wenger has been trying to do now. He is clearly willing to let go a failed generation of players. Wenger has an impressive resume and he's a winner and he, of all people, must be sick and tired of all this talk of players wanting to leave Arsenal because they "want to win trophies". But these players (Van Persie and Song included) must understand that they are part of that failure. They have grown used to losing, they accept defeat easier than others like Vermaelen and Sczcesny for example. Eight years without trophy it's though, I know, we've had difficulties, but now let's move on. We need new people hungry to win and happy to play for The Arsenal. No more bullshit talk of leaving to win trophies.

No more people managed by Darren Dean, first of all, and no more reminiscent players from 6-7 years ago (except seemingly loyal players like Sagna).

I know Drekkard love both clubs ,but sometimes mummy is more important then dad. Its easy to blame the board ,but the board are not to be blame. They don`t have deep pockets .

@ Rent Fabregas said he love Arsenal the club too much to say anything that causes disrespect. Any player coming in has to do with the Coach ,not me. Don`t ask me about players any player coming in would be welcome.

cheers for that statement! MCity imo has no history and Mutd is full of history and the brand itself. I wasn`t bother for city because they pay top dollar. Our captain leaving is harsh on epic portion regardless what he does in that shirt for them. I understand Fergie is desperate to win and he knows the goals will come on strong if not rvp the others know they have to play like its a final in every match now.

I would love to lift a cup! I think We should play our strongest in every tourney yes the mickey cup too!

Let's just hope Wilshere can be fit. Odd choice for a number 10 though - he didn't really play that far forward when I saw him two years ago.

A trio of Rodwell, Cleverley and Wilshere could be very interesting for England, if they are all fit and playing for top 4 clubs.

I was expecting either Cazorla or Podolski to get #10 but I was pleasantly surprised by this. Really liked the idea of Jack wearing our #10.
As to where he plays and his shirt number, this is not issue at Arsenal, remember how Gallas used to wear #10 :LOL:

As for the RvP transfer, I think it wasn't what he imagined. Maybe he thought there would be dozens of great European teams after him, but not even cash-rich Milan came in for him. In the end was City, Juve (who offered great wages but a not so great fee to Arsenal, in addition to having several internal problems in Italian Serie A, with their coach suspended and so on) and United, who were the only club who upped the ante and offered what Arsenal wanted.
Wenger didn't want it either, of course, but if you're going to sell to the highest bidder, don't think twice.

I think the only person in all this who wanted, envisaged and had wet dreams about it was Ferguson, who now has the 2 top scorers playing side by side. He must feel like Fantasy Football manager now!

I feel sorry for Rodwell (Not really because of the money he is earning, but for his career), he will be another Lukaku, they should both have gone to lesser clubs, or clubs that could offer them a good amount of games a season for their development.

Rodwell has been showing lots of promise, but will go off the radar being at City, it's a shame.
 
He's had decent hype for a while but he's had plenty of injuries and hadn't managed to even force himself into the Everton first team, the leap from Everton Reserve to Manchester City is massive.

Not only that days after signing him their now after De Rossi in the same position

I feel like I can fully sympathise with Arsenal, although you guys actually reinforced your squad with pretty good players.

Anyway, was reading about Financial Fair Play and came across this Wenger quote that I fully agree with:

Well I only started to watch about 10mins in but we have completely controlled the game and had a couple of good chances, so I don't know how we have looked bad? Maybe the first 10mins were terrible?

Some passing is a bit off and the connection with the front three needs to be ironed out, but some good passing moves and movement as a whole. Gervinho looks up for it and looks like he wants to take people on, which is good to see.

hopefully we can get a goal or two....PLEASE! :DD
 
No Song, looks like it confirms the move to Barca! I never tought that it would be Song to leave,not Song! And i realy like that guy! Damn it!

Arsenal is like cheap prostitute, every one who have money just come and take our best players! Why not slap big price tag over Song he have contract, if you want him pay what we want and thats it Song is more valuable to Arsenal than 15m ! He have been very consistent and time to time provided some goals and assist that isnt even his primary task on pitch! I am so surprised about this move! Song, please not Song!
