Godotelli is a Man City fan.

I dont see how anybody can hate Wenger? What has he done to be hated?

At the most his ideas and phylosophy do not work anymore, why would you hate someone that has good intentions but just cant achieve the end goal for a few years?

He has done so much for the club and for the future of the club than any other manager.
 
I don't see it either. Many Arsenal fans are frustrated in recent years, and some mindless f*ckwits do post hatred messages against him (Arseblog said a surprising amount of abusive posts are barred from his comments).
But I just don't understand. Wenger has never inspired any real hatred, I think.

Oh, and specialist in failure? Wenger won more titles in his first 10 years in England than Chelsea had won in their entire history pre-Abramovich.
In fact, Wenger won 3 Premier League titles - the same number as Chelsea in these past 10 years of limitless sugar daddy induced pimpage.

"Mou" is a real prick, everyone knows he's over the top and out of order all the time. Everyone linked to football in England, from pundits to managers, said at the time that Mourinho was out of order with those comments.
So I won't even discuss anything said by Mourinho anymore, it isn't worth my time.
 
Mou IS a prick but he's a winner. Wenger has forgot how to be a winner.

He isnt bigger than the club, he should have done the right thing and resigned a season or two ago.

IF Arsenal win the FA Cup and finish 4th though, this will have been a decent season - I'd kill for that at Spurs.
 
Well we've discussed in these forums a few times - Mourinho does know how to win and keep his players thirsty for blood. But then again he never worked with modest budgets, has he?

In Portugal, Porto is the richest and most powerful club and it was was when the eyes of the world turned to him. After that he's always had Abramovich, Massimo Moratti and Florentino Perez backing him with mindblowing quantities of money.

During his Real Madrid years he was Pep Guardiola's bitch for a while, and it was a time when we got to see the real ugly side of teams managed by Mourinho - Pepe stamping on Messi's hand and that eye gouging incident showing that dark side to everyone.

He was able to achieve some superiority to win the Spanish League only after Guardiola left IMO.

I think it's a matter of class really. Arsenal have always had a hard time against Guadiola's teams but if you ask him anything about Wenger I'm sure he wouldn't ever get down to Mourinho's level in his comments.

I think you mistaken some of Mourinho achievements. FCPorto was (and still is) the club with the biggest budget, but not sufficient for winning the CL (altough they had a bid of luck with the opponents [same budget, more or less] on the semis and the final).
At Inter, we won the treble in the season when they had sold Ibrahimovic, with an ageing squad (that was inable to replicated any of the success afterwards) eliminating Barcelona and Bayern that had far bigger budgets at the time.

We won La Liga title win the last year Guardiola was coaching Barcelona.

His off the field tatics (the so-called "mind games") have been so predicable that they are counterproductive, even dividing his team (e.g., Real last season), so he should just stop, but he can't. His on the field production has been nothing short of extraordinary. How many coach can jump for club to club, for country to country and be so successful. He is the only coach that have won the EPL, La Liga and Serie A.

Like or hate it. He is a great coach. Period.

Whether it'd be good or bad for Arsenal to part ways with Wenger, I don't know. that's a different discussion, but just purely from a PL perspective I'd prefer he stay for a while yet.
 
I'm very ambivalant towards Wenger.
IMO he is the most influential manager even in the EPL (Ferguson was more succesfull, but Wenger changed the game in England, he set the trend that made the EPL what it is now).

On the other hand he is so stubborn, that in the long term Arsenal suffers from it. Maybe Wenger should do the job Dein did (sacking him was perhaps the biggest mistake Arsenal ever made), but i'm not sure if he should stay the coach (i.e. the one who decides about the tactics and which team starts matches). The problem would to implement that without humuliating Wenger...

And then again, if you look at the the money spent and the wages of the players, i'm pretty sure Arsenal are over achieving...

US MATCHGOING FANS are the ones that are getting fleeced. We spend a fortune following our teams to see us win f**k all. I wouldn't mind if tickets were getting cheaper but they are VERY EXPENSIVE NOW.

At Inter his domestic succeses were superficial, created by Calciopoli. He won the Champions League at Inter playing something that's more like the opposite of football.

I won't deny he isn't a good coach, but he doesn't have the right to call Wenger a specialist in failure. Mourinho has failed at Real himself, seeing as the goal was winning La Decima.

Calciopoli was before Mourinho came to the club, and Milan wasn't affect that much (only Juve).

If you think that what we play at Inter isn't football, just because isn't flashy, you have to revise what football really is (Italy, Germany dominance for years was based on defense). The most loopside CL final of recent times (even in Barça-Man U final at Wembley) was Inter-Bayern. Bayern looked like a mid-table team, couldn't do nothing.

As for his antics I don't agree with what he is doing, particulary the remarks on Wenger, that just a shame. And the same can be said of his beef with Benítez.

I haven't been to the Emirates , but been to Highbury a few times. I have family in Ipswich n Cambridge since 1991 .Everyone has a right to say whatever they want right? ! I'm not justifying to you. Ppl that support their club pay in different ways . mi personally I've paid my son trips to Liverpool and to Madrid a few times to watch matches. He doesn't think about a what a true fan is or not . He's. studying Sport Medicine in the states here. Your argument is yours to hold and You might have the reputation to show a lack of respect 'ninjabreak ' ;) . I think you rather stir the pot then provide dialogue .I know a bloke who goes to matches and don't care for the game just wants to be in the atmosphere . Never kicked a ball in their life , but yells all sorts of profanity for a miss kick or pass. In your logic he's a true fan for shelling out a few quids to have a laugh. That's my cousin by the way whether it's Cambridge city, united it doesn't matter he's a fat fuck that's a true fan. \0/ and if I'm wrong about you I'd admit later.

Oh yes, that question always has to come. They were playing good in that time, but i think the championship is won at the final of the seasons and i don't see Arsenal in the top right now! Another failure by Wenger! He could not keep the team playing well till today and now they aren't in the top anymore... :thumbup:

Because of Calciopoli Milan were pretty much crippled as well, the only team who challenged was Roma in his second season at Inter.

Well they remained in Serie A. Didn't had to sale their players. Everything remained the same. Milan just wasn't a good enough squad. And by the way, those teams deserved to be punished. They cheated. If Inter did too, is a topic for debate, but the Italian Justice didn't thought so.

But even without that, Mourinho would have won the title. That season was just perfect.
 
Everything you said is highly debabtable, but I don't have the effort to explain everything. Italian justice is a massive joke by the way.

Do you really think Mourinho would've been able to stop the Juve team pre-calciopoli? A team with Buffon, Ibrahimovic, Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Zambrotta, Thuram and Cannavaro, who were pretty much all at their peak at the moment?
 
That team was great in 2006. 2009 would have been a different history. Nedved, Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Zambrotta, Thuram and Cannavaro at that time were either retired or not at the same level. And btw, I always like Juve. Just saying you cannot take merit for that season on Mourinho, just that, nothing more. Inter haven't one nothing since, have they?
 
That's because Juve and Milan recovered from Calciopoli by then and Inter made some poor choices regarding transfers and managers.
 
Agree with you. But it cannot be said that Calciopoli was the main reason for Mourinho titles. The same squad that was dominant with him was the same that crumble under Benítez/Leonardo/Gasperini/Ranieri.
 
great goals tonight. I like Vermaelen at LB he was good at muscling out the crosses. Ramsey what a special kid we have in him :APPLAUD: Podi such a finisher we have in him.
 
Poldi should go back to his lone striker position he occupied earlier in his career. We have way too many good left wingers.
If Ramsey looks aftef himself next season, plus we get another striker and a CB we might have a chance.
 
I think it's not that easy. We're not the team who can cope easily with the departure of a long-serving manager. The kind United has been.
We're not accustomed to short-term commitments. I believe he has to stay for one more year while we analyze our choices.
 
We'll need a top striker and a natural DMF too, for sure.

Giroud's goal was fantastic, but before that he missed two chances a top striker wouldn't miss IMO.

Podolski was great, he responded inside the pitch to the whole ordeal after being subbed against Wigan and complaining about never staying the full 90 minutes.
The funny thing is that Wenger listened to it and let him play the full match. And he didn't disappoint yesterday, so fair enough.

Cazorla was much better too, and Källström did alright as well. Our midfield is so light that Källström looks like a giant next to Arteta, Cazorla and Ramsey!
