About graphics, it's unacceptable that at night matches the ball has only a single one shadow exaclty below it (like nintento era),

lighting in day matches is atrocious, look at the blurry player shadows, they look like they are floating. This is like PSP graphics quality. also goalpost shadow is ridiculus as well as grass texture.View attachment 330593

These "minor" things made me quit efootball. 2025, a game that is very resource hungry, and we get all these.
It's just a responsive smooth game with decent AI. Unfortunately it feels a lot like a "game".

Agreed re lack of inertia (sudden stopping), and what seems to be ultra responsiveness at times from the cpu AI dribbling passed you. Doesn't happen often enough to piss me off. Ball physics for me seem the best in the series... not sure what you're seeing regarding weird acceleration. For me, the ball physics are more realistic than the pretty decent pes2021. In efootball the ball just moves with more weight and zip, representing a more realistic ball speed (when compared to pes2021), particularly when shooting a powerful shot on goal, or a deflection off the keeper. Feels and looks good to me.

You are right on re the graphics. The daytime lighting and shadows look crap. Thats why I only ever choose certain stadiums, particularly the ones with heaps of shade on the pitch. I only ever choose San Siro and Estadio AKRON, as both look decent for daylight.
The night matches look pretty good at a few stadiums, particularly Stadio Olimpico and efootball stadium... they are the best for me. I remember U-power stadium (been deleted for a few years now) being my favourite stadium re evening match lighting:

hey, now that 24H2 is forced, after the update, I noticed the same issue... lots of stuttering and hiccups... did you (or anyone) find a solution?

also, do you have two monitors setup? are you on Steam or MS Store?

Look, I gave up after PES13 and I played PES6 3 years till PES16. I really loved PES6 goalkeeper animations and it kept me in the game. I didn't consider PES6 bad game. But it terms of physics and AI cheating - it was the start of the downfall.

Indeed. My post wasn't about the strength of PES6 per se, more the relative strength of eFootball.
 
Based on same engine. They couldve made it good but konami didnt care. We're on 5 years development yet they couldnt give a 💩. Not to mention UE looks crap to optimize & modding.

Konami hates modding so although you are able to do some things into efootball they are building extra security walls to prevent what we do and play the base Game 💩
 
Seriously mates, lots of comments with 💩 in them... I mean Konami can't do their 💩 if you 💩 on their 💩 demo like. Where are those manners? Now they are very demoralized coz' everything they can see on their 💩 feedback is people 💩 on their 💩 game decided by those corporate 💩💩💩s...

Now excuse me, going back to some more PES 6. Reached the '99 Champions League semi final Valencia vs Lazio Roma, after memorable moments of fun and football drama...
 
The ambiance was great yes. But the late PS3 game were outdated in terms of engine, and the PS3 gen was the big turn for why people turned their back to Konami outdated engine and started to play Fifa instead.
That's what i did : i wanted something more enhanced than the same engine as PES 3 with more animations at the time. Now i see things differently but i don't have short memory : the 08 to 10 was the fall of Konami. Some even said 08 to 14.... But in comparison to Fifa. I compare to their older game in terms of technology and possibility in the gameplay.

PES 2011 with their PS2.5 engine should have been the first next-gen version, and PES 2014, with one year more of work should have been released in 2013.
I prefered by miles Fifa 13 over PES 2013 as the animation, balance, defense and physical engine was so much better. I couldn't tolerate for example the repetitiveness when three or two players tackled in the same time like a bad 16 bit game with the exact same animation. Also the players were too floaty and same for the ball.

I don't care if the AI was good if the core engine was fucked up for more reactivity than PES 2011 / the only PS3 version i tolerated even if it wasn't that dynamic and relatively action-fun as 2012 and 2013 : but the team was in place and the players as the ball got good weight algorithms (added of course, the stats was still handling everything not like in Fox where weight, height, well all physics related are part of the game).

I already see many sniper with boxes full of tomatoes but i said the reality we lived on that era : we wanted something very different than the game we usually played since 8-10 years with the same overall mechanics at the time. But that doesn't mean that those game are bad : just out 3-4 years too late vs their concurrent.

Now i can even enjoy PES 2008 and 2009 PC taking them as a retro game, but in 2008-2009, at least in our community, it was the fall of PES that we guessed. Until PES 2014 promise, even if we got to wait for the 2017 to finally have a real GK and Referee (Referre who took one year holidays on PES 2018 through)
 
There's a big market for offline sports game players but unfortunately we can't be as monetized as the children that buy weekly messi cards with a +1 increase in speed and a new shiny graphic on the card. Even WWE games have gone all in on the online multiplayer world bullshit. If only the code for PES 21 could be open sourced but instead it's wasted on Captain Tsubasa Messi edition cards.
 
To be fair, globally the new concept tandem of eFootball has not been received with disappointment and meaningful push back yet, since the release dating before 2022. Though the community should be wiser than to expect a miracle come back, the failed promises (cross-progression, Master League, Edit mode, etc.) should not have fed us so much hope to trust a drastic direction change from the card game, micro-transaction RNG model. I should like to highlight that the research and maturity shown on these parts gives me renewed optimism that we can impact change for the better and to fit our 'universal' idea of what eFootball could or should be.

It's unlucky we pick at those particular instances. Did you look up one of my suggestion posts "cadence dribbling"? To be fair we would benefit from nudge dribbling if the balance was hit on the nose and you could deftly run at your opponent to pull off actual take-ons like the most on form dribblers, lol. To be honest, do we still expect Neymar or Messi to blitz on the dribble like Mbappe now or Leao? Some players really rely on the dribble as their essential go-to. eFootball gives them a license to defy inertia with a brief cool down. Not to make excuses for the game: it's as hard to predict and adjust for the user on the ball as the defenders in the interest of fairness.
Also the game manages a multitude of inputs, inaccuracy, lag, etc. and processes them allegedly at an eSport standard. The context of gameplay should be taken into account in regards to whether one is after a fairly casual and one-off exhibition match, an immersive single-player experience, or the most competitive multiplayer setting.
 
I cannot excuse either how nudge dribble is not more input-based than contextual. Understandably a button is assigned to finesse in any direction but that of the immediate opponent (match up). Fair enough, but cancel that finesse and push a long dribble like M. Owen, i.e. bridge to beat your man for pace. It was an actual skill move on older Fifa's. However, I can't think it was ever intuitive or practical enough. Not to mention that competitively it's a hard one to pull off. Why don't we get over stop and start dribbles with Santos Neymar? Maybe because it's hard enough to prevent getting bogged down to a slow trundle, where turning sharply requires a sharp touch, or we suffer from the worst stage due opponent press.

I had it deleted for a long time. But it's been on my PS5 since September. Never played it everyday though (especially now being a 4 hour train ride from my PS5)

how is your goalkeeping ? I'm quite frustrated at the easy shots I concede goals from while my oponents stop way better ones.
is there no other explanation than manual goal keeping ?

I've a bunch of good ones, they give for free, just change the keeper depending on Live Update.
I don't like to play with mainstream players and just try to keep a good overall team but without legends or superstars.
Playing on PS4 , by the way.
