Sorrowfully that frenches don't know that this hat (shapka-ushanka) was NEVER ukrainian! Today +6 C in Kyiv and +9 C in Paris. Do they think Ukraine is Siberia? It's funny. Stupid FFF :)

Why, it's a friendly, doesn't mean too much. Much more important are the relegation matches for Brazil. Still not sure if to support Portugal or Sweden, would like to see them both at the WC, guess Portugal will make it.

I prefer to see Zlatan and Sweden here in Brasil, also would be 100x better to have swedish women supporters here in Rio!

Apart from both stars, it seems that Portugal by far has the best players. My problem with Portugal is that they rarely play as a team. Sweden has obviously less talented players (apart from Zlatan of course), but i've seen them play as as a solid unit quite frequently.

All in all i think Portugal are favourites (also because they are used to play these all or nothing matches).

I'm also very interested in Iceland-Croatia. On the one hand i would love to see Iceland in a WC, on the other hand, Croatia are such a good team.They failed because they had probably the worst national coach in recent world football history. Our national team won that group, but i'm far from convinced that they are a better team than Croatia. IMO Croatia deserve to go to the WC, they certainly are among the best 32 teams in the world.

quite disappointing play from Croatia in final third today. It got somewhat better when Rebić was brought on, but still...congrats to Iceland for great defensive play with 10 man.

France is out. This is justice. When they scored with a handball against Ireland, it was all nice.

Greece destroyed Romania 3-1 and deserves to progress, mostly because of having some of the best players of ChL, like Maniatis, Mitroglou, Siovas, Cholevas, Samaris, Torosidis, Manolas.

Portugal will also advance, and I hope Iceland will leave Croatia out.

@gerd: That thing that Portugal "doesn't play as a team" is a lie, if anything, they pass the ball around way too much in the attack when they should be simplifying things.

The press focus on Ronaldo to solve all the problems but before he does there's lots of frustrated attempts from everyone else to score because we have no proper strikers (or anyone with proper finishing skills) and today was a clear example of that. He had to leave the wing for us to get a result today, that speaks volumes.

How can an opinion be a lie ?
Saw the match today, and was quite impressed with Joao Moutinho and Josue.
Very good goal from Ronaldo.

Portugal haven't had a great striker for decades. It's really unfortunate because the rest of their team is really solid.

Good showing from Ronaldo. After all the chat, would have been good if Ibra had bothered to show up.

True, poor choice of words. Initially meant to say it was a "myth" created by the press that it was all about Ronaldo but lost that train of thought.

F*CK YEAAAAH!!! I was on stadium tonight! It was unbelievable! Fomenko is a wizard! Deschamp, Ribèry and another thought they are on WC14 and Ukraine is nothing, not harder then Croatia, Portugal, Greece. Waiting for match in Paris with hope.

Pauleta on his best days was really good, but yeah, Portugal's problem with reliable strikers has always been there. But I also think youngsters aren't given the proper opportunities and for the past 4 years we've been switching around between bad (Postiga) to even worst (Almeida).

I think that nobody with a little bit of common sense in the football world would say that the national team of Ukraine is nothing :))

On the contrary, the result seems logical and a bit expected.

Ukraine winning by 2x0 was certainly NOT expected, was possible yeah, but never something expected out of this game.

But what is was for certain is it was GREAT, gook luck in the next game I hope you guys make it and eliminate the French :D

Also expect Sweden to react in the next game, hope they can show some football at home.
