The Retro-PES Corner

I've never tried Winning Eleven 10 LE to be honest, it looks like this is a good time to.
Seriously, I'm getting back and forth between the "new" games I found (JLWE2008CC, JLWE9AC, WE8LE) and I'm currently having a lot of fun.
I think that the one of them I've been enjoying the most is JLWE9AC for now, but WE8LE comes really close (and it features the 04/05 season which is my favourite ever).

(on a side note: I've spent countless evenings with these games and many more are to be spent in the future. If my wife hadn't been a gamer herself, she'd have already applied for divorce by now honestly)
I'm in the same boat. Playing JLWE2008CC and WE8LE...I have two different ISOS for JLWE2009AC but I don't have a widescreen patch. Are you emulating these games or using real hardware. Also, do you happen to have a wide screen patch for JLWE9AAC?

I'm emulating the games with PCSX2 at the moment, I never had a PS2 unfortunately (I was already playing on PC at that time).
I did my widescreen patch for JLWE9AC using Super Camera Editor as I might have told earlier in the thread, but it doesn't only enable widescreen, it also zooms the players out a bit.
I don't have any for JLWE2009AC (I don't even have the English-patrched ISO at the moment) but I think iut can be done the same way as it is done for the other games.

I've been enjoying JLWE9AC a lot too, lately. It's up there with WE8LE at the moment.

I feel that JLWE9AC is better in terms of pure gameplay (and it also features K-League!), even if also WE8LE does have a very entertaining gameplay if you ask me (probably a little more "arcade-ish" than JLWE9AC and a little bit more frantic) and it features the 04/05 season (which is my favourite one ever) which is a definite plus in my eyes.
So, I'd definitely be in trouble if I had to choose the best of the two.

About WE8LE: I'm trying to see if I can adapt TheWolf's "Vuelta del Lobo" patch to WE8LE (Team Reefur's patch shared by BillyKong is great, but it's from the 05/06 season), then if I managed to I could probably die happy. I've got my head around how to import the graphics (well, at least kits and fonts/numbers, which appear on a "per-kit" basis for the first time ever) but I have serious issues when it comes to DB editing.

Could anyone more expert than me on this (@BillyKong I'm hoping you can help me!) guide me towards the right tools?
I've heard WEditor by Kmochida should be able to handle WE8LE, and I found a copy of it in an old tool pack by TheWolf, but there's no way I could have it open the files. When I load the SLPM file it says that it's not compatible. Any way I could make it "like" WE8LE or any alternative? I also tried with DKZ Studio's DB Editor but apparently it doesn't support WE8LE either.

Thanks! :)

Try @morodolarama1 patch that he made for WE8LE. He ported the kits from Vuelta del Lobo patch on PC and I'm not sure but it might have 04/05 database. Try it and find out:

if some one search a translated version (Eng text) of Winning Eleven 10 Liveware Evolution (korea only - PS2):

Download...

I deleted by error my copy, so I had to search it again...

This was the real latest gameplay evolution by konami for WE10/PES6 serie

Great to see asian versions translated as they are usually better that the global ones.
Question about this specific version: Is this version the best iteration of PES 6 gameplay wise? How is the AI compared to PES 6?
Thanks!

Does anyone have option files and/or iso files for the Asia and Korean versions of PES2008 - PES2012 at all?

In particular:

Winning Eleven 2009 Asia SLAJ-25111 Winning Eleven 2010 Asia SLAJ-25114 Winning Eleven 2011 Asia SLAJ-25115

Winning Eleven 2008 Korea SLKA-25409 Winning Eleven 2009 Korea SLKA-25455 Winning Eleven 2010 Korea SLKA-25468 Winning Eleven 2011 Korea SLKA-25477/8 Winning Eleven 2012 Korea SLKA-25480

A tall order but if anyone can, it is this great community!

Quick question guys about regular difficulty.
How would you compare differences in these games on regular, which one is harder, which one is easier on same difficulty?
PES 2009 (PS2)
Winning eleven 2008 (PS2)
J.league winning eleven 2008 club championship (PS2)
J.league winning eleven 2009 club championship (PS2)

Long ago I played a lot PES 2009 (PS2) on regular and it felt right, not too easy, not too hard. I want to enjoy the game, not being too frustrated, but also not to make too easy and big wins in ML after few seasons when team becomes stronger.
Thanks!

I think you are about spot on both 2008 games on regular difficulty are quite easy with both 2009 games being more difficult, for me I would prefer J.league winning eleven 2009 club championship (PS2) over PES 2009.

Maybe those more clued up can explain but it could just be the teamwork stat gets applied differently making it a bit harder.

Ok, thanks! So, if I start J.league winning eleven 2008 club championship master league maybe better to put it on professional if it is easier than 2009...

I always thought WE9LE dribbling was difficult and stiff but I realized it was the way I was playing. After reading the command list, I read that slow dribbling is pressing and releasing the left stick. Timing the Press and release, press and release allows for some very short, quick tight dribbling. I also saw the R1 to bring the ball to a stop. When doing the slow dribble, the R1 is almost instantaneous, so the game really does allow for some nifty footwork. Turns out I was using the controls incorrectly.

Sorry guys for bothering but how do the players contracts renew in J.league winning eleven 2008 club championship master league? I do not see that option.
Thanks!

Can you share a video that illustrate how it is on game ?

Given the hairstyle, I guess the Cristiano Ronaldo modeling in WE10-PES6 was based on his style during January -February 2006

I finished the second season of my Master League with Roasso Kumamoto and im proud to announce that the boys have done it!

The comfortable lead that i build after 15 games started to melt after 30 games, but thankfully the team kept their cool and fought back not to drop down below the second place.

The third season we will be playing in the highest tier of Japanese football, i officially played over 100 games now in ML (There are 44 fixtures in 2nd tier)
and im not bored of this game.

Here is a short recap simillar to what i did with the first season, featuring goals etc from this season :)

https://www.mediafire.com/file/cleraep1kljcjpp/(2004)+Winning+Eleven+7+International.ISO/file

A patch tribute wendetta. The kits of the national teams correspond to before the Euro 2004 except France, Germany and Japan, who had been playing with new adidas kits since the end of 2003. The launch date of the game in February of that years and 2003-04 teams, world patch port from pc to ps2, a tribute patch wendetta database

Optional and necessary: option file I correct some all faces and wrong names
https://www.mediafire.com/file/i02v...T+WS_________7I+_________+(A6CC024F).max/file

The game comes in your favorite language but you must change the language to the Japanese audio so that all the content of the patch is seen the same as the original Wendetta game
